Why is it so hard for police officers to identify themselves and explain why they are there before becoming all hostile. This officer set the tone of this interaction the minute he said, " baby momma." He knew early on that they were at the wrong address, but instead of acknowledging their mistake, he continued to escalate the situation. This is exactly how things go wrong. Their egos won't let them admit they made a mistake, so instead of apologizing and moving on to where they are actually supposed to be, they continued to escalate. They are so stupid because their own body cams record their actions, but then again, sometimes that doesn't mean anything. I'm glad this it did.

That wasn't admission of wrong address but confirmation of what the guy was stating in a more round about way. Due to how things went, we cannot be full certain that it was the wrong address, the call was done out of mistaken belief that someone drank the acetone and they won't admit they were mistaken to the cops, or if this was in fact the right address and someone did drink the acetone and just trying to cover up that fact for fear of getting into trouble and CPS getting involved. However, if things started off correctly and the cops right off the bat just started with telling the man that they received a call... and just wish to confirm that everyone there was fine and confirm this was the correct address, it may have gotten better results; but more than likely, would have left with the same amount of info as they did, but much more quickly and peacefully.

Apparently intelligence makes people want to commit crimes, so only dumb people get to point guns at everyone because they don't understand enough to do crimes. Or at least that's how it's interpreted in my head. Makes complete sense if your target demographic are the chronically poor and disenfranchised. Because if dumb people aren't smart enough to do crimes, why do we need police for the uneducated poor? If smart people can't be cops because they might do crimes, then why don't the cops stop THEM from doing their daily crimes?

What if the cops were at the right address, and he wouldn’t let his wife speak to them? The husband was quite defensive. Just because you are, or have been, in the military, doesn’t mean you are entitled to get away with being argumentative. But, the cop was in the wrong for his own attitude!

Personally, I think the majority of the blame should be on the male officer. I agree with AtA that the female officer needs to improve her skills at approaching people, however she did a good job overall not letting the situation get out of had and escalating further, especially with the male officer causing a ruckus. Good job to her!
