I remember seeing this movie in the very early 80’s in our local library and have been trying to remember what it was ever since! The quest finally completed.
Wow Wow it took me ages to find that wonderful and amazing film.I was so thrilled to watch it over and over when I was a child and today I've found it and I had tears in my eyes. The way they act is so beautiful and real. The best film with so many good memories. The message and it's impact are very strong. The melodies are absolutely pretty and all that film is full of excitement and deep emotions. The way both of them act is outstanding and excellent. Perfect film with great tension and performance. The way they cry in the end and then he stands up and she runs to help him.. they burst into tears together and that part is so powerful. I love this marvellous film and I'll never forget it. It was so beautiful and unique🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

It was a real significant sign for their survival ! Even when I was a child , that was a part that I will never forget. I am sure many of us can feel the same. Many parts in that amazing film can still make me think , how I used to watch it and it made me tensed up , as if it was a real horror film . This film is so powerful and all the memories and times I used to watch it are unforgettable. The pretty and deep melodies, their great performace, and all about the scene is perfect. I can watch it over and over again, with tears in my eyes, because time flies and those years in our childhood will never come back ! Such an excellent film with big lessons from the begining to the end of it. The weakest person can become so strong and courageous.. the most captivating one like him can be so afraid of that awkward and dangerous situation. Finally , he learned to appreciate and to thank her for the strength, and the resistance, that she showed all along. Defintely the best short film, that we used to watch after school and so many years after , twice a week they put it on in the TV. Wonderful memories and precious moments . Just when you are bigger you learn to appreciate terrific films like "Snowbound" 1977. Still today I've watched it with deep emotions and nostalgia. 👑👑💝💖💞❤♥️
I saw this in school when I was 12. This is the best snowbound I ever seen. Today's snowbound is nowhere as good as this one. I call this the original Snowbound movie! :)

This book was required reading in 6th grade.After reading and tests we were shown this movie.Will never forget"Robert Redford"...lol...really entertaining film..

One thing about this movie, I did not originally see it when it was shown on TV in 1977 but I recall that there was a TV Movie that was originally shown in 1975 called "Hey I'm Alive" with Sally Struthers and Ed Asner and based on a true story of two people stranded in the Yukon for some 40 days after a plane crash. This one seemed to be a rehash of that but depicting teenagers in such a situation. Actually the teenagers depicted in this movie were typically immature in certain ways but still quite level headed in other ways. It seems the two were at odds with each other just like Billy Nolan character and the Christine Hargensen character in the movie "Carrie.." The guy did not try to make a move on the girl or vice versa. Would two teens have been like these two in such a predicament? The guy only had to go to the "bathroom" once. The girl not at all. Maybe the storyline has its own "message" but I guess like a lot of "Afterschool Special" movies the fiction is not done expertly enough.
I had to watch this in 8th grade and we were making fun of it. Funny fact, years later at the toll booth near the beginning of the movie, I got on the Mass Pike going the wrong direction and had to take a 60 mile detour to go back the right way.
I think this may be a trimmed version. I swear when I saw this back in the day when Tony left the car to look for help he found a car with bodies in it.
"@1971SuperBrett" I remember the Afterschool specials but I was not the target audience as I was a teen back then. I only recall some of the episodes. I don't recall this one but looking at it now, it seemed it depicted the 1960s since the car that "Tony" was driving (that got stuck in a snow storm) was a Voltzwagen Beetle (the original type) and they were fading out if not faded out by the time it was the later 1970s (that is what I recall). But also it seems that if these TV movies are for adolescents it may be too much to showthat Tony found dead bodies in a car (ironically even Aesop's fables which were largely meant to teach kids' moral lessons had harsh depictions of what can happen in life). But it was also rather intense that the little dog died horrifically by being killed by larger wild dogs. It seemed to me that the owner was a little too careless. Out in the wild and the cold, letting the little dog walk in the snow. The girl should keep the dog very close to her.

Magnificent music from an outstanding film !! ☝🏆🥇🏅 I can declare with all my heart that it is much better than any book. There is no comparison with no offense The book was very good one 👌👌 but that film was a masterpiece. Wow Wow Wow !!. 🙏 🔝🔝🔝🔝🙏💎💎💎💎 That film was the best ever !! They were perfect !! Saw this as an after school special as a 9 year old in 1977.
I saw this movie in Middle School for English class back in 1988, we had to write an essay after watching it and it is a great movie.
This was actually NBC 's Afternoon Special called, "Special Treat" from Feb. 1978.

@@JillianandAddie I remember him looking in the driver's side window and seeing frozen bodies in the front seat. It scared me as a kid too!
He mentioned it in the car when the dogs attacked and I was wondering what he was talking about, bc all I seen was blood on the ground.
