    One thing I like about the D4 is the fact that the hose swivels at the canister end, and not only on the handle end. Most canisters seem to only swivel at the handle...causing the unit to flip over if you're not careful when pulling it along. Great review !

    Just purchased the D4 yesterday after watching your scbo comparison video. I did up for the small turbo attachment right away, as a smaller motored solution for cleaning up our cat tree is something I've wanted for years. Next thing on the list will probably be the upgraded hard floor tool but the kind lady at our local store was taken aback I'd purchased any accessories and advised me to hold off on any accessories purchase until I used it. Thank you for all you do and in narrowing down the choices.

    Your review (and your other ones on the K and E canisters) really helped me determine which Sebo canister vacuum I needed. I clean houses and commercial spaces for a living and I finally decided to make a great investment in a vacuum that would hold up. Your review was so detailed, and I appreciate you taking it apart (I've taken my other vacuums apart to repair them myself) because it really helps us visual learners see how everything comes together! Keep doing your reviews this way, it's worth every minute to watch!

    I have a Sebo D4 premium for about 8 years and it’s a great solid machine. I do use the Sebo fresh and they do help with smells from stuff still sitting in the bag. The bag is huge. I will usually replace the bag before it gets full just because of the smells - the bags last so long.
    I agree the hard floor tool they include is basic, but it does work ok.
    Overall a great machine. No issues.

      @@PerformanceReviews Big bag, big vacuum cleaner. A lot of us make the compromise of a small machine with a small bag because of storage space restrictions & small apartments, etc. I worked as a janitor & we used full sized Nacecare (Numatic) machines (not the little 'Henry' ones). These vacs had huge bags because of the enormous area that was covered every day.

A little later on that Saturday morning I exchanged it for the D4 some other dude came in and bought it). Local dealer did awesome though getting me an E3 from their warehouse that morning so that I could come pick up on my lunch break lol. Really really happy with this brand of machine. Even bought a used X4 earlier this week just to try one of their uprights and it's awesome, so much so that I'm gonna get a new X7 soon lol. As for being concerned about purchasing a discontinued model, I wouldn’t worry about parts or support availability given sebo’s in-house production business model and sharing of many components between models.
      Besides, purchase through an AD and you don’t have to worry about anything for 7/10 years

    I think that it’s the best domestic canister vacuum produced for longevity and premium performance. There’s one area where I was disappointed in the E series’s design in that I’d hoped that it would have employed the D series’ top fill design as opposed to the traditional flow through design that it took, similar to Miele’s. That an a additional five feet of cord would have made it worth the cost differential between an E1 and the Pure Suction I’d purchased and added a few accessories.

I then watched your video of the differences in the Miele models, which primed me to find a dealer near me....then I saw your review of the Miele vs the SEBO and I am sold 100%!!!....so my question to you is: which SEBO, the E3 or the D4, would be best for pet hair and dust (lots of both!!!) 80/20 carpet/flooring, regardless of home square footage? • @LlyleHunter
    @LlyleHunter Před 3 lety +2

    Sebo is the only power nozzle canister vacuum I’ll buy. I’ve had the others and determined that I’m better off with uprights and suction only canisters with good accessories. Other than Sebo I find the sockets on power nozzle canisters to be too troublesome so I keep uprights and good suction only canisters in my house. The design and interchangeability of Sebo’s wiring and sockets make for a practical exception wherein the entirety of the hose assembly isn’t required to be replaced in order to have the machine running and that it can be done for less than $22.00 and In minutes at home with a screwdriver makes it easy. Replacing an entire hose for the price of an inexpensive vacuum isn’t the reason that I was in the market for a fine vacuum. It was to avoid spending on a succession of lesser vacuums and the costs there in.

    I have the D1 which is the straight suction version in the D series, I'm pretty sure that one is no longer available. It's a great full size canister. I think Sebo is one of the best, if not the best brand of vacuum you can get, whenever I'm asked which brand to get, Sebo is the first one I suggest. They are well designed and well made, whether you want a canister or an upright, you can't go wrong with a Sebo cleaner. I do have an adapter that will allow you to use standard attachments, the hose end is slightly larger than the 35 MM size used on other European brands such as Miele. I also have a Sebo Felix, another great cleaner.

I know the filters are really good but would the hepa filter prevent this? My son has the Sebo Dart and I've noticed a bad odor when turned on. It says to change the filters every 15-20 bags but he's gone through maybe 5 bags. The vacuum is about 8 months old.

We are very active, and go in and out of the house many times per day. We bring a lot of traffic, as do the dogs. I do the floors, carpet etc plus a large sectional couch and tables daily. I’ll vacuum my mattress twice a month as well as the pillows. • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  Před 2 lety +1

      The electrical cord on vacuum cleaners typically do get a little warm but should not burn you if you touch it.
      As far as the red light going on occasionally that is to indicate the brush roller is not adjusted properly. Or the brush roller is starting to wear out typically about 4 years is the life on those. The other thing that can cause it is there's only four height adjustments it's possible your carpet could be in between one of those settings and just can't be finally tuned enough. Enjoy your SEBO D4 don't hesitate to bring it by a local dealer.

      Well I wouldn't believe anything really posted on vacuum land. Most of those people why do they like vacuums are very unadept to reality. As far as cleaning ability on carpet this and most rainbows are about the same. This nozzle might deep clean slightly better but the difference is negligible.
      Most people at home don't have the ability to do proper testing so you'll have to take CRI's word for it.

      @@PerformanceReviews the D4 for me as a lot more airflow than my rainbow. The rainbow PN is IMO very good at agitation but the over unit is too light a d bounces on my carpet. The ET1 is good and heavy but little agitation. I'm gonna try out the miele but I can already tell I'm gonna be more impressed with it than the Sebo et1.
      I have a feeling that the et1 may be the best of the best if I had a central vac.

    I'll be honest... I'm not sold yet on this SEBO and maybe someone can enlighten me. So currently I have a Dyson Animal Ball 2 and love it for the most part, but for sure it has some faults that just really annoy me.
    Currently been looking at the Riccar Tandem Air Pet Premium, but some reviewers have said that aren't as good as they once were in the past.
    The thing that I see a lot of reviewers of vacuums seem to show is how models agitate the carpet to help suck up as much as possible, which models like Dyson and Riccar uprights seem to be out of the world at. But this SEBO doesn't seem like the agitation or even the suction is much to be happy about.
    I want something better than my Dyson. Cost is not a factor as I'm willing to spend any amount as long I'm getting the best and most solid piece of machinery. Some say the Kirby is the best... but didn't take me watching too many reviews to realize the machine is just over complicated with switching from floor mode to tool mode and lots of complaints about how heavy it is.
    So... sell me on the SEBO? Or maybe a Milele or something else?

    • @PerformanceReviews
      @PerformanceReviews  Před 2 lety +3

      My job is to review products here not to sell you on anything.
      That being said agitation has very little to do with cleaning. There are plenty of vacuums without a brush roller that will out clean machines with a brush roller.
      I'm not sure where you get lack of suction or air flow from looking at SEBO?
      I'd recommend you try one for yourself and make your decision. Visit a local independent retailer.
      As far as Riccar I think they're poor reputation speaks for themselves.
      High maintenance low quality and made in China not the USA as advertised.
      If "money is really no issue" get a central vacuum installed that's as Good as It gets.
      Hope you find the right vacuum for you.
