    It is very well made, quiet, powerful and would be the cleaner I'd recommend for people with larger homes and pets.

      @@burpreynolds I just happened to be at the right place at the right time. Interesting, most of the accessories fit the Henry Allergy model so I use that one exclusively for cleaning the car and garage. Found it in Canada with only the box Scruggs but machine in excellent shape.

    Thanks for all the information. I’ve had this exact model for 6 months and I agree it’s heavy. I’ve noticed it flips over if you are not paying attention to the angle of the tube where it meets the body, if it’s at its opposite rotation the machine turns over. Your tip about taking the brush out is great as we have a lot of long hair in this house. 👍

    Wow friend I just got my D4 onyx today it’s amazing the vacuum store even gave me a free box of bags and the dusting brush and clip to put on the extension wand !!! the head fits between chairs I love mieles like you but I’ve been loving the Sebos I have a X5 as well and works great as well even on hard floor . I can’t believe there not so expensive in the UK . I paid 1300 dollars for it the mark up is crazy here in the US for German machines !!

    This is an excellent review. Your step by step analysis convinced me to purchase the Airbelt D4, here in the US. They currently run about $900.00. We have two cats, and have both bare floors and area carpets (rugs). I'm looking forward to replacing my 30 year old Miele 227 with is very up to date deluxe model. As my wife has allergies, It's the deep cleaning of the carpets, and the removal of the cat hair and litter tracked from their feet that led me to this.
    Thank you.

    Well, I received my Sebo D4 Premium with the ET-1 brush roll. Overall, it is a FANTASTIC vacuum. The suction is truly amazing and the motorized head cleans the carpets like nothing I have ever witnessed before. I purchased the premium parquet hard floor brush and love it. It has wheels which makes cleaning floors a breeze. For me, the hose is average length but the cord is the longest I have seen. I have a 3000 square foot home and I was able to clean the entire first floor, the stairs and the landing and hall before I had to plug it back in. None of the vacuums I have owned have made it that far. It did topple over a couple of times and got caught up in the cord (which is typical for a canister vacuum).
    I agree with Roger's review completely. The button to turn the brush roll on/off is an engineering failure. It is so hard to press that one could break a toe. I had to use my finger. However, it is nice that it turns off in parked position so I didn't need to turn it off much. I do think they should provide a much larger button or take Roger up on his idea and add a larger one on the back. Also, I would prefer a step button to raise/lower the power head versus having to bend over to adjust the height (but I do need the exercise). A light on the brush roll would also be nice. I would also like to see all the controls added to the handle - just makes more sense. However, these are tiny things. The machine is amazing. Couldn't be happier. I only got four rooms cleaned and look forward to getting the other six done this week. If you are thinking about this cleaner, give it a shot. It is big and somewhat heavy so take that into consideration. I do not have pets and we do not wear our shoes in the house. It hasn't been too long since I vacuumed. I could not believe the dirt and dust in the bag. AMAZING! Thanks Roger for recommending this vacuum!!! Happy Vacuuming!

    I don't know why power head vacuum cleaners aren't more common in the UK as in the 80's and 90's there were several manufacturers with power head cleaners in their ranges. Upright cleaners used to be the most popular choice for people with lots of carpet and cylinders were purchased by people with more hard floors and rugs to clean.

    I do want to thank you again for turning me on to this vacuum. I was dusting my ceiling fan with it at 2:30 am. I don't really like the dusting brush. It is too small. It is nice for small areas but i like to dust all my furniture with the vacuum and I find this to be too small and stiff, no pun intended. I ordered an adapter and the long Dyson dusting tool. I know it is sacrilegious but I have to have something that will make it easier to dust or I just won't do it. Did i mention I hate dusting?
    I am so amazed with the suction power on the Sebo. I have never owned a vacuum with this much power. Interesting. I tried one out at a dealer before I purchased it and the suction wasn't as strong. However, it was a floor model and I don't think it was well taken care of. The bag was quite dirty which tells me he probably was reusing it which would definitely cause a loss in suction. I trusted you on this and it has paid off. You were spot on about the button to turn the motor head off/on. Terrible. I don't know what Sebo was thinking.

I vacuum almost every day so I don't want my bags to fill up too quckly but also don't want them to start to smell really bad from taking forever to get full. Do you think the D4 or E3? • @David49305
    @David49305 Před 8 lety +1

    Roger, when using the extension hose, is there a loss of suction at all? I would like the hose to be as long as possible so I don't have to putt the machine around the room. I have a few large rooms and don't want it following me around.

    How filled up do you let your bags get on this vacuum before you change the bags? I have never used a bagged vacuum in the past so forgive me if this is a really silly question lol. The manual confuses me when it says "the nature of the contents of the filter bag will affect point @ which it needs changing...the filter bag may over fill before "bag full" indicator turns orange." So it's just a big mystery... I have 2 cats that shed and track litter daily & right now you can't see the bottom of the bag but there is still a lot of empty space in there.

    • @ibaisaic

      It’s a good machine for larger homes but it seems very expensive in the US. It costs £379 ($482) in the UK.

    I bought the D4 700 and the suction is a joke. It really is WEAAK! And for insane price. I cannot describe how dissapointed i am in this product. No doubt it's build quality is GREAT and will last for 20 years. but it's just so weak. I can not clean any carpets with this. I wonder if buying the carpet brush roller head for another 190 eur will make this product usable.

    • @ibaisaic
      @ibaisaic  Před 6 lety

      I would not recommend the 700 watt Sebos, especially the straight suction ones unless you mainly have hard floors. The model in this video was manufactured before the first EU regulations so it's over 2000 Watts. They did 1200 watt versions that had greater suction than the 700 watt models. The power head would make a huge difference to the carpet cleaning performance if you can get one that fits your version.

      @davidlarsen1981 Před 6 lety

      ibaisaic thanks, appreciate the thorough reply. I felt mislead really, especially at that pricepoint :(
      Duped into having to now also purchase a powerhead, that by itself is more expensive than a cheap 2k watt noname brand.

    not worth it guys. 5 years later, if I had to do it again, I would either try the smaller version or go with another brand. Im not impressed with some of the design flaws and how it has held up over the years.
    It does have the suction to pull a sick whore off a piss pot and a bag big enough to store a cadaver but other than that its not worth $1,200

    • @spencerwilton5831
      @spencerwilton5831 Před 3 lety +1

      That's because it's not a $1200 vacuum. It's under £400 in the U.K. which means it should retail at around $500 in the US. Only your protectionist tariffs and crazy import duties and taxes make it insanely expensive.

    • @sl1237
      @sl1237 Před 2 lety

      I am looking at the Sebo D4 then saw your comment. What are the design flaws? What hasn't held up over the past 5 years (7 now)?

    • @toobglued
      @toobglued Před 2 lety

      @@sl1237 it is over engineered imo. The first thing is it is HEAVY AS HELL . The hose comes off canister at a shallow angle and does not spin 360, only 270. A nuisance when dragging it around.
      It's so heavy if you drag it by the hose it eventually Makes it suck air at the connection at the canister.
      The power rug beater is off balance, when you lift it off the ground it tilts to one side
      And the handle loses power connection down to the rug beater and it intermittently comes on and off
      I have taken it apart several times tried to clean the contacts but it basically is a piece of crap
      The wire is about 40 feet at probably 16 gauge and it gets wicked hot if you don't unravel it the entire way.
      Get A Miele.
      Every time I use this vacuum cleaner I want to throw it out the window.
      We have a nice and cordless V7 and I use that 90% of the time now.
      The positives? It's a HEPA vacuum, and it does have good power but just about every vacuum cleaner nowadays has good power.
      Do not buy this Seebo canister D4 it is definitely a piece of shit. It is the most retarded vacuum cleaner I have ever used. And frankly I'd like to take it back and shove it up a salesman's ass :)
