Larry: "If someone was going to die, I'd stay and die with them"
Also Larry: "If someone wanted to snuggle up to me to get some warmth because I am occupying their sleeping bag, they can fuck right off."
lol
King shit
Lmao and I love ur username btw😋
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol brilliant
Mistakes by Larry:
1. Is 4 hours late.
2. Lied about knowing how to kayak.
3. Didn't ask for or take advice.
4. Took the hardest option even though he knew he sucked at kayaking.
5. Left his kayak.
6. Left crucial gear on his kayak.
7. Didn't look where he was swimming.
8. Didn't stay put when on land.
Mistakes made by Saul:
1. Assumed Larry had a clue.
2. Left in the dark.
Mistakes by Larry could go on and on. He didn't even tighten the dry bag. He though he don't need to, as it is "DRY BAG" 😁
Only one mistake on Saul- he should left Larry when he was 4hours late
Saul also let larry pick which route in the end. The strongest person should decide the competence of the weakest link at that point..
@@dana102083 exactly the opposite. Saul could do both, he was asked larry who is the unexperienced one, which one he thinks he can take… larry should’ve told him lets go the easy one cause i suck at this
@@fabiom65 no..larry already lied to him so his buddy shouldn't have appreciated his flawed judgement any longer. Yes they should have taken the easier route and stayed together and larry shouldnt have been given an option.
One more.... No Spray Skirts.

Larry deserves a seperate show called, "No REALLY... I SHOULDN'T be alive"
😂😂😂😅
Fkin ell mate.. that made me laugh hard... oh god 😅😂😅😂

😂😂😂
Larry’s pompous attitude during the trip and after says a lot about his character. The total lack of insight and self-awareness is just astounding.
Agreed
Hit nail on absolute head.
The real tragedy here is that all the naked ladies on the party island didn't get to experience the superior intelligence, charisma, and supreme excellent athlete that is Larry
He is the adult version of Fogell from Superbad ‼ ..minus the glasses😂🤣

Yoooooo hilarious lmaoooo

Ah, duuuuude! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
If I were Saul, I'd take an evenings feet up, scrolling through these comments and taking screenshots of my favorites. Then I'd text the best zingers to Larry and add, "Ain't it great to be alive. . buddy?!" 😅🤣
At least Saul can read these comments reassured he did what we all would’ve done 😂
Whats that murder Larry??
I was shocked when Larry still wanted to kayak back across, knowing he can’t kayak, just to be “competitive”. He’s a danger to everyone around him
There are classes you must take prior to entering frigid waters of the Puget Sound. Besides this, you always check weather reports prior to any attempts of crossing large bodies of waters. A kayak’s speed is 3 mph, the currents in the Puget Sound can be 2-4X that speed.
A decision driven by dangerous insecurity rather than competitiveness
He was just young and wasn't thinking rationally. He's not a danger to everyone around him😂
@@Blessingzzz theres a reason why car insurance for young people is so high
Fruckin' funny!

Never leave a man behind. Unless it’s Larry.
“Let’s paddle back” instead of stopping at the nearby island for help. He deserved being left.
But the guide should make that decision, you can't let a person who doesn't know the area make that choice...It was Larry's friend fault 2
Saul absolutely should have made that decision. He was dead wrong for asking Larry at that point.
One of my favorite parts of watching these on CZcams is reading all your snarky comments 😂
This episode is once again a reminder that the people you surround yourself with can completely derail your life

Just like my narcissist gf.
If the roles were reversed Larry would have took a hot shower and got a meal before alerting the coast guard.
😂😂
Rusty No you wrong they usually have quick game of monopoly then shower and meal.My friendship sorely tested
Lol, he does seem like the kind of guy that would!
💯
Or maybe tried to make it to that island they wanted to go and hit being naked on the ladies....before realising ooops am I missing something????😂😂😂
Larry literally blaming Saul for “leaving him & almost killing him” literally made my blood boil😡. He lied to his Saul, made every single wrong decision, and has the audacity to think Saul should’ve stayed. Larry seriously would’ve killed them both….. 😑
I don't think saul should feel guilty for leaving Larry on that island, I would have done the same.... deliberately 🤣👍
100%
Easy for larry to say how he'd die with his mate rather than leave them. He put sauls life in danger by lying, then makes him feel bad for it, id have left his dumb ass and gone for help aswell. Larry wouldve got them both killed. He didn't even have the brains to take a flash light ffs
I didn’t know I was watching an episode of “I Don’t Deserve to Be Alive.”
Next episode:
Larry tells “friends” he’s an expert climber and lands a spot on an Everest expedition wearing sandals and a vest 😂
First few of these I watched, I really enjoyed watching adventurers, who respected the danger of what they were doing, minimised risks as much as possible and through their competence and intellect did their utmost to save themselves.; even if, sadly, sometimes unsuccessfully. The recent ones I've seen have turned me into a curmudgeon, shouting at the TV, 'You're a complete idiot & asking for trouble', 'Darwinism rules'.........'bah humbug'....etc
😂😂
Lmfao 🤣
🤣
LMFAO!
Hilarious how his kayak was able to make it to shore without him

Good point.
The biggest winners of this story were the women at the resort they were planning to go hit on.

Even though Larry survived, he still deserves the Darwin award.
Well, look at that!! At least Larry can finally say he won at SOMETHING! 😅😅😅.
I’m only 13 mins in but I have to say, Saul has the patience of a saint dealing with Larry
I'm genuinely surprised that Larry didn't jump back into the ocean once he saw the helicopter.
LOL!
Holy shit lol
😂😂😂
Hahahahhaha
Haha. Larry seems to suffer from narcissistic personality disorder which causes him to make poor decisions.
However, the decision to leave his kayak comes solely from intellignece, or in Larry's case, lack thereof.
I found it rewarding when Saul left Larry. That saved both of their lives.
Larry is that guy everyone hopes won't show up at their house party 😂
Larry talkin about he wouldn't have left him but he wouldn't even let his friend sleep next to him to get warm!
And Larry was using other guy’s sleeping bag because his was soaked

Larry sounds like an absolute nightmare. Being friends with him sounds like as much fun as being friends with a lightning rod during a thunderstorm. He says "you don't leave your friend behind" but if I was with him, I'd flip him the bird and tell him that "you don't ask your friend to die with you because of your own stupidity".

Larry could get lost in a broom cupboard!
Lmao this should be the top comment
😂😂😂
Best comment of the whole episode! I had to rewind to make sure I heard it correctly.
Larry not letting him cuddle up to him at night was so selfish and absurd. It's like he didn't really understand how much trouble they were in.
Exactly and saul's was kind enough to let him use his sleeping bag.
This is the comment I was looking for. Just beyond ridiculous. This whole episode is just filled with Larry’s mind blowing stupidity and selfishness.
why are you gay?😁
In this defense, though, Saul didn't say "no homo"
/s, obviously!
Larry was fucking riduclous.
It is the very definition of toxic masculinity
You know what’s not correct Larry , lying to your “buddy “ making him believe your a kayaker and placing his life at risk because of your own self decisions!
I couldn't believe this. This is about the DUMBEST crap I have ever ever ever seen in this show these two. Both of em. He shouldn't have lied but the experienced guy should have made CERTAIN to go someplace so intense they're both sooooo wrong for having done this. Wow.
Exactly!! "you don't leave your buddy", omg where do I start right. You also don't lie to your buddy about your experience, you don't show up 4 hrs late on a trip like that. Then also, you don't jump out of your raft and decide to make a swim for it while that's probably the only thing that would've kept him alive had he gone out to sea. Also they would've found him much sooner had he just stayed with his raft
If he stayed, they both might died together. Tough decision
Larry is a 100 percent asshole but Saul should have taken him on the shorter route back from the island once he realised how dumb and ill prepared larry was. Seems he was sill competing. Anyway still all Larry s fault.
I think Larry is a complete idiot. Lying about what he cant do.
This reminds me of something that happened last year, in Hawaii. 2 young women had left all their belongings on the beach in front of our resort for several hours. No one knew where they had gone and other guests notified hotel staff, who in tern, alerted the life guard stations that they were missing. Within a half hour, a large search began.
They were found 3 hours later on some rich guy’s yacht. Evidently, one of the friends had decided she wanted a cocktail and had flashed the privately owned vessel from several yards away. A small motor boat, with a steward in it was launched to pick them up and bring them aboard the yacht. They had been partying all mid-morning, into the late afternoon.
When the search team told them they had caused a massive scare, they started complaining that people had rummaged through their personal belongings on the shore and wanted to press charges if any of their things ended up missing.
Zero gratitude, Zero apology and Zero accountability.
Larry is in the same category as those girls.
aw come on dont be so harsh. He had good intentions but under extreme stress , made a poor decision. Maybe Larry could have towed him without the boat . Those girls you speak of should have had their belongings removed to cover some of the costs of the rescue effort.
Those guys aren’t friends they’re butt ugly enemies obviously. Id never talk to friends like that. And certainly not be afraid of cuddling together for survival warmth at night. I know my buds aren’t queer or anything....& even a queer bud would keep you warm & not attack you knowing you’re not like that. This is survival first.
This is really stupid. Two really stupid bullheaded idiots in the sea for no reason at all.
Bye bye idiots!
Larry is in an even worse category.

Actually he was right not everyone is selfish like soul and you so shut-up Larry rocks
@@aaliyahali5537 Every piece of survival literature will tell you that if your life hangs in the balance, and there is someone there that is dragging you behind, your first option should be to go ahead and get HELP, regardless of whether or not they agree with you. If it weren't for Saul Larry certainly would have died, if Saul had attempted to stay behind, their ordeal would have likely ended fatally for both of them.
I love reading comments like yours that proliferate nothing but ignorance when it comes to exposure in the elements, and frankly, I would never go about on any kind of outdoor or wilderness trip with someone of your mentality because it would get us both Killed. Larry should be thanking Saul for getting back to land ALIVE and being able to muster Rescue Crews as quickly as he did, Larry is an outright moron for abandoning Ship and not at the very least grabbing his Flashlight, Flares, Drybag, ect. You clearly know nothing of Survival Situations, you should probably stay far out of the way of the Wilderness, because it does not care about your feelings facts are fact, and the fact is that if you find yourself in a similar situation, you MUST leave your party behind and try to get help as soon as you possibly can, because you will not physically be able to survive for your friend.

Lol. Larrys "drybag is soaked". Larry says in an annoyed tone that Sauls dry bag is DRY.
In Larry’s self righteous mind he says he ‘forgave’ Saul and doesn’t hold a ‘grudge’ WTF??? He should be down on his knees THANKING SAUL that he left to give him a chance at life! How brain dead and entitled can one person be??

I cannot stop laughing at this comment.
What kind of person thinks they're better off in the water without a boat? 😂
A narcissist that shames and guilt trips his friend for saving his life

Lol why'd you think Saul left him in the straight
@@laeseries1163 The unfortunate thing was, he felt guilty about leaving Larry behind, when at the same time Saul knew only HE could save Larry's a$$ by getting help!

The worst friendship I've seen in my life.
I know right.. more like a love hate, his friend was so generous to give up his sleeping bag, and the way he was towards his friend was not cool.. Larry screwed up from the beginning..
Not necessarily - while I don't agree with Larry blaming Saul for making what he thought _was the best decision at the time to save both of them,_ at least he didn't break off their friendship and they still hang out. Clearly they both saw continued value in that, and even returned to same area, which often when these scenarios occur, it actually breaks up relationships of all kinds, because people just associate it with the traumatic event.
2 morons out in the water and for what??
Unbelievable. 💩💩💩
Who needs enemies, when you have friends like these two?! 😂
It's amazing that these two actually went kayaking together again!
Can we agree that those two who depicted Larry and Saul are absolutely amazing actors? You can just feel the realism of the situation!
No man ... They are C actors.. Not even good enough for B movies
Yeah the way they are talking like a bickering married couple is on point
it's not them?
it is the actual people. isnt it?
I am often impressed by the acting on the show. Seriously. Especially the one where the son and his dad go rafting and get pulled under the ice, and he hast to leave his dad to find help.
‘Mother Nature and her LITTLE currents’, may be the funniest and most moronic thing I’ve ever heard. This guy is a walking I SHOULDNT BE ALIVE!!😂😂😂😂
I love how the show doesn't sugarcoat Larry's terrible personality and complete incompetence.
I dislike Saul’s personality more, but Larry is far more incompetent.
@@Rattlsnke it’s a tossup, for sure. They are both people I wouldn’t want to be near
Larry’s a narcissistic self centered egomaniac. At the end says he doesn’t hold a grudge for him leaving… doesn’t hold a grudge… for Saul leaving and getting help that rescued him. Wow
I couldn't stand either of their personalities.
So many stupid decisions. But You have to admire the fact Larry was able to save himself after making the idiotic decision to swim. I don't think I'd survive 9 hrs in the water.
Every decision Larry made, from lying about your skill to deciding to get back in the water and swim again, was the wrong one. Larry lived despite himself.
This whole thing was Larry’s fault, everyone seems to know it except Saul, who Larry still is laying a guilt trip on… I can’t believe I watched it all the way through, Larry is so frustrating!!!
This guy left his kayak with gear… wow!! is he on future episodes 😅
The most frustrating thing about this episode is that Larry doesn’t seem to have learnt anything and hasn’t taken any responsibility for putting his friend in a situation where he had to leave him. Saul has to live with that for the rest of his life, and that is entirely Larry’s fault.
Exactly!
I totally agree!
Oh please....they both made mistakes. The important thing is for their friendship to be restored. Its pointless to debate who made more mistakes.
@@swilhelm3180 True 👍

Larry is such an expert Kayaker, he doesn't even need a Kayak.
Haha
😂 yep Larry is a hacker and he needs the pump. 😳 no athlete would have left the boat. You shouldn’t have gone in any ocean with those little currents.
LMAO haaaaaaaaha
@H N QqQ
You are correct sir lol go Larry 😆
This is exactly what happens when you try to save someone that's drowning, they always try to grab and end up pulling you down with them.
That's different though. Someone who's drowning is panicking and not thinking clearly and has no intention of pulling anyone down with them. Larry made the conscious choice to do all of these stupid things.
Also FYI if anyone tries to save someone who's drowning, this is why you should approach them from behind (if they turn around and face you, drop underwater and come up from behind again- keep doing it until you can approach from behind) then loop your arms under their shoulders/armpits, and lean back and pull them back onto your chest as you float on your backs. It will help the person relax and it will be much harder for them to take you down.
Larry would be the ultimate survivor in the Final Destination franchise because he somehow survived not only this incident but his entire life to the point that the episode was made. Truly staggering levels of luck.
At every turn, every decision Larry made was jaw dropping.
Yeah😂😂😂😂
Someone needs to tell Larry that he isn't an athlete and he can't do that.

Did Larry look a bit touched in the head? Or I didn't see him correct?

If you read what I said in context, compared to his friend Saul, Larry is “beta” compared to Saul who out of the two of them is the “alpha” male.
Both terms come with a lot of controversy as to not only what do they mean, but how can we use these words to make any kind of sensical “sense.”
Or how to use both words as a comparison between at least two males, or even a group of males. Ie, Compared to all the other guys in this team, Eddy is the alpha male.
Or Compared to Saul, Larry is the beta male. Using either term as a stand alone definition is “not very helpful” as “both terms need each other” in the same way as opposites attract. The word “opposite” has no meaning unless it is used to make a comparison between at least two things.
To say in the context of what you’re referring to, saying Larry is “beta” and Saul is “alpha” doesn’t mean that Larry is not good at sports or even that he can’t stand up for himself.
It simply means in the context that we are referring to, which is that in the actions and the unfolding and completion of this whole story, one of these guys can said to be the “beta” male compared to the other guy Saul, who can be said to be the “alpha” male.
I’ll leave it there because personally, even though I used these terms, in the strictest grammatical sense, both terms can be misused and could cause a person to stumble and fall into a pit. A bit like you just did Muhammad. Anyway, no offence intended! 😊
@@terarmy4767 lmfao who are you to call Larry a beta male? You can clearly tell that he’s alpha he was an athlete and speaks his mind and cares about no ones opinions. Any real alpha can see that Larry is alpha.

😊 Well, I truly love God. I am not religious but very spiritual person. So, I believe 1) Religion is the beliefs in someone experiences But spirituality is having my own experiences. The mainstream religions people promote religious ideology by giving guidelines and guide but In my spiritual life; I do not want anyone or anything between God and me to restrict my freedom to worship God. 2) We do not need any authorities to do good work. The god work is the good work always. In contrast; organised mainstream religions are claiming that they have the authorities to do God works as leaders so on. 3) God is not capable of doing wrong thing, change the past for us and create anything out of nothing for us. Nothing means not anything. So, even God is limited. The mainstream religious people believe that God is unlimited. 4) God wants us to take responsibilities for our righteousness life but not for all the consequences of our actions because they are continued to exist among us. So, How can god punish us for all our consequences? The mainstream religious people believe we are full of sins because of all our actions. 5) Freewill is an illusion. People always choose the perceived path of greatest pleasure. So, we do not have choices all the time. In contrast teachings of the mainstream religions are promoting people to do god's will always because we all have choices of freewill always. 6) We can not separate everything into groups. So, everything for good and evil and there's no success and failure for everything. If everything is real then real things can not be threatened. Once you come to understand that God/The Holy Spirit is in each of us, You will no longer need a Book to tell you how to live. Then why we need religious scriptures? The Virtue is the expression of the basic goodness in our actions. The Basic goodness is the fundamental worthiness of every individuals. We are worthy to God always in everything. 7) Beliefs in a cruel God makes a cruel man. No matter what; every living creatures has the right to live and What makes their life cheap? Everything depends on everything. Nothing too big or too small in value. We can not love and hate at the same time; Being a vegetarian means love without cruelty happily. The mainstream religious people are killing people and sacrificing animals in the name of God. They promote God's cruel punishments. The Punishment is endless for Sinners/Devil according to religious scriptures. But God is love always. Overcome hate with love. If all religions for peace, unity? No way. Because they are not for peace. 8) Well, The God gave us everything to go from moment to moment in our lives as we do our part and pray only to thank god then the Love is in progress. The Love is always for everyone. We are always worthy of the God's love. Our greatest fear is; not to be loved by anyone but we are all loved by someone. When we eliminate all our unnecessary differences among us then true peaceful life is possible with the true love. If we can't find the peace within ourselves then we will never find it anywhere else. 9) This is the Fight for independence and freedom of humanity to worship God freely without religious guide and guidelines to restrict us. Unnecessarily, We do not want third party controls over us in anything ; especially in spirituality. 10) Revive Survive Thrive. Sincerely, The Real Peacemaker against religious oppression.

Moral of this episode: Never have a friend like Larry 🙏
Special Larry Edition of I Shouldn't be Alive and why Larry has no more friends. 🥴
Are you kidding? That guy literally left Larry to die yet you’re the one hating on Larry? I swear all you people have no brains.
^Found a Larry
@@user-si2sn5gw7b he didn’t tho. Stay on the kayak and you would be rescued pretty much immediately.
@@user-si2sn5gw7b okay Larry
Good grief. First, Saul did the right thing by leaving Larry and his sinking kayak, in order to get help. Had he not done that, they'd both be dead. Larry's decision processing is a dangerous liability as proven in this crazy event. Larry apparently doesn't get it. Bless your heart, Larry. I wish you well.
Larry is like my daughter. I took her paddleboarding in Croatia and she can't paddle correctly to save her life. She kept getting swept out to sea. I finally paddled out to her and had to pull her back to shore with my paddleboard and I was freaking out the whole time. We barely made it. I wanted to strangle her lol cause she kept trying to put herself in a dangerous situation. She likes having her life flash before her eyes! Keeping her reigned in is tough.
but you were the one taking her for paddleboarding
Stop bashing your daughter for your bad decisions. You should be ashamed of this comment.
I think him leaving his friend to get help was absolutely the right decision. What good would it do them to both be swept away without anyone knowing?
@ Vidalion, Exactly!
Yes Larry wasn't exactly in touch with his own capability. And dude knew that
To better decision would’ve been to the island and leave the boats and ferry back. Saul isn’t in the right here either. He knew his friend was inexperienced and knowingly led him into a life threatening situation. Both dumbasses.
Bye bye Larry....take care" lol
The water never got that bad. He didn't haft to leave him. He really could have died because of his friends selfish decision to leave him behind
Larry summarized himself so perfect “They say the best thing to do when you’re lost is stay put. I gotta get goin.”
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 then says he keeps making bad decisions lol
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
the fucker survived, lol.
When didn't he just get back in the boat again
It’s like he’s trying to elude rescue,at all costs
Larry trying to play the "no marine left behind" is full of it. dood is fukkked up real nice
always keep a sponge in your kayak to periodically sponge the water out so it doesn't get outa control. Also, always keep a whistle in or on your PFD (life vest) to call for help.
larry cant share his blanket and expect his friend to die for him.
Please, the guy can’t even show up on damn time.
@@vessela7484 He's a walking (and swimming) cluster!
It’s not even his blanket. Saul gave it to him 😂
Reminds me of my nieces and nephews when I buy them ice cream and they refuse to give me a bite 😂
Yep , that was really crappy.
Hes just trying to get to those clothing optional hot tub patrons
They need a new branch of this show called “I am an idiot”
"I shouldn't have been an idiot" 😂
That show is constantly airing on cnn
@@abigalanderson7494 LMFAO Agreed.
@@Denies1992 would’ve been perfect for them lol
It should say, I’m an idiot because this show ain’t even real. 🙄🙄🙄
Larry wanted Saul to stay with him until they died together. Which is the best idea. They would still be good friends today in the afterlife. I think Saul should keep taking Larry everywhere until this inevitably happens and restores their friendship. I think Larry should be a tour leader so he can make lots of new friends in the meantime.
So Larry goes accross the channel without ever having been in kayak, packs cotton clothes, picks the most dangerous option to get out of their predicament, refuses to listen to Saul's paddling advice, leaves his boat after getting swept away, leaves his flashlight, flare, and other essential survival stuff, mentions he's ready to die, knows that he has to stay put in order to be found, then swims out to sea AGAIN when he's cold, exhausted and dehydrated... Seems like Larry was more on a suicide mission then on a self-rescue mission.
The fact Larry went on this extremely dangerous trip with absolutely no experience shows his ignorance and blaming sal for leaving him is ridiculous
I worked with Larry a couple years ago at my old job. I was an RA and we all worked at different houses, 3-4 of us to a house. I was sitting on the couch with a coworker when Larry walks through the door. He was sporting this odd hat that looked like a beret (but wasn't) and was wearing a pair of "swimmies", those inflatable plastic things little kids put on their arms to float in a pool. I thought it was a gag at first but he ended up wearing them all shift. My coworker started laughing and wouldn't stop while we were watching tv it was getting uncomfortable lol. So I asked him what the deal was with the swimmies and he said "It's a long story." I only ever worked with him that one shift, don't know if he got fired or what. Had no clue about any of this. I guess it really was a long story lol. It all makes sense now.
I agree and even though you don't leave someone, I feel Saul made the best decision to try and save Larry. Larry lied about experience, which could have costs both their lives. Glad they remained friends & kayaked together. Testosterone is not always best idea to be macho!! Lol
@@perpetualmotion357 I hope they did. Fuck, Larry. The shows title lives up to its name for him since he shouldn't be alive. I mean by a pure biological level he is ABSOLUTELY DETERMENTAL to our species survival. His genes will weaken us collectively if he's allowed to breed.
I agree
@@perpetualmotion357 haha no way
This is not being competitive, this is being stupid..
They give men a bad name, it makes men look like they cant contain their hormones and will kayak (for the first time) in dangerous currents just so they can see naked women. You know there's strip clubs in town for that but then again they wouldn't be allowed to strip themselves and show off their he-men bodies.
Na its being competitive. Trying to sort out who is the more stupid
Yes 2 idiots not goes good it was most stupid thing no expert would do same nonsense .
Competitively stupid lol
Agree.
I’m naming this episode “ better call out for Saul”😂
Larry: You left me!!!
Saul: You're the reason all this SHIT HAPPENED!!!!!
The comments are better than the episode! It's unanimous, everyone thinks Larry is a douche bag. Lol Saul needs new friends.
@H N I think he made the best decision he could. I mean the guy was not very helpful. He had a pessimistic mind. And the guy probably felt he was better off alone. And there's nothing wrong with that.
You lie...you Pay'
Larry boy!!🤔
@H N hahha I think Marie is the only one that fits... I met a julia rose before
@H N he did didn't he? I thought they were both yelling to each other but couldn't hear?
@H N ye they were in a park having a walk, not, jesus they were in fucking waves with wind blasting and current draging them out, by having kayak swamped larry was slow and probably far behind and would mean massive energy and time waste, only option other then what he did, was to use the pump to get water out, but that would have wasted lot of time, so maybe they both would been dead
This was the hardest episode I've watched and not for the right reasons. Larry did everything wrong and takes no responsibility for anything
Oh? You havent seen the one where the chicks are on the side of the mountain after one broke up with her boyfriend yet then I'm guessing? 🤣
Or the one with the scouts that go into the grand canyon in the middle of Summer ...
Good times!
EGGS-ACTLY
His decisions were stupid but blaming Saul for going to get help and talking about how he "wouldn't abandon his friend" is a piece of shit move
Thank you so much. You are so right. It's upsetting that they are still friends.
@@colin8477 yes He refused to take much direction, so he should not be taking potshots at anyone else.
Wow, it’s impressive when someone makes every possible mistake they could have😂

Its believabke after watching his attitude though the whole thing, he thinks he's the shit
As the saying goes " Who needs enemies when Larry's your friend ? "
😂😂
I love how everyone is having a go at Larry when clearly Saul became aware his friend was inexperienced and didn’t adjust his behavior despite been the leader the entire time. Larry was foolish. But no matter how you justify it Saul was diabolical - only proven at 22:34 how do you explain leaving a friend who just said they haven’t kayaked ? They clearly didn’t have a conversation. Also if you got the sense your partner wasn’t qualified, why would he even bother daring him to kayak back. He doesn’t know what he’s doing and can’t know the danger. Agin it doesn’t excuse in any way his decisions. But it’s baffling reading comments totally ignoring Sauls behavior was shocking. It was HIS trip and his lead. He didn’t even ask Larry if he had kayaked. He just assumed. For the third time, Larry was foolish, but there comes a time as the leader of that trip you have to adjust your behavior. Case and point; if his one true motivation WAS to go get help and save friend, why didn’t he just communicate that to his friend? Larry would have stayed in the kayak then floating with debris once it sank. As the experienced kayaker, he could have also reminded him If the entire goal was to save his friend to take the flares and flashlight with him and start waving in 30-60 minutes or at first sign of a goat. I don’t judge anyone in a survival situation, this is more to even out the, IMO, incredibly unfair commentary that is one sided reacting to this story told here.
Exactly. You can tell a lot of the people leaving comments have never been in leadership positions outdoors. Sauls three choices thing was unexplainable to me. He was a terrible leader.
Judging from Larry’s adamant insistence repeatedly that you should never leave a friend behind, I doubt that conversation in the middle of rough waters would have gone very well. Further, Larry had no clue they were in a life and death situation at that point and something tells me that trying to teach Larry about ocean tides and currents might be more of a task than you might realize, especially considering that he still believes his super strong swimming skills are what saved him. I agree about Saul’s error in giving Larry 3 choices, but Larry is clearly not very bright and it’s difficult to “lead” a moron full of bravado who lacks the common sense to realize when he’s making a life and death decision… and the WRONG life and death decision, over and over and over again. Thank God Saul was at least smart enough to know when shit just got real and made a fast, decisive, CORRECT decision when it counted the most, unlike Larry.
@@amyb2253I don’t disagree with a word of any of that. But I think you’re being generous with Saul’s actions. You’re right Larry did not know how dire it was but Saul did. Wouldn’t he be telling him then??
For instance you’re implicitly saying Saul purposefully didn’t tell Larry bc he anticipated it not going well. I’m picking up on the implication, but actually address that - is that actually why you think he did that? Bc it was better to avoid a confrontation? I wasn’t there, and I’ll be open to it if you say so and are convicted about that. But interestingly, there’s really no other answer than those two. Either he left without communicating it out of a sense of survival in which case he was acting out of self interest which I do not deny increased the odds of Larry’s survival albeit indirectly by way of reaching help- & not bc he had that in mind.
OR alternatively he left without saying a word bc he feared a confrontation would ensure. I’m open to the latter. We have similar stories even on this series such as the father son pair where one of the sons left without telling his father and had his friend tell his father for him before miraculously swimming. But that of course wasn’t to avoid confrontation. I do agree it wouldn’t have been pleasant with Larry but my point stands he could have relayed the gravity of the situation and simply said atleast “grab your gear you’re not prepared I can atleast get to safety. You’re game enough to survive a little water aren’t you?” There’s plenty of ways to gamify this and de-escalate so you don’t essentially condemn a moron to death . Something tells me Larry atleast would not have sabotaged their chances and would also have considered grabbing the torch out of a sense of a challenge. To be honest many of these stories feature moronic decisions: it just turns out Larry is pretty candid about his ego going to really illustrate how they got there but ppl don’t admonish those quite this bad and I can make a case for a good amount of the stories told here where worse decisions were made. Larry is just openly Mr bean haha but he seems to be aware of his lack of knowledge once it’s out he’s a buffoon on rhe water. My thing is Saul didn’t try. I’ve kayaked before in similar conditions . Everyone is indeed responsible for their own survival ultimately but you still have a trip master who ensures basic materials and skills are met. It’s pretty clear at its most elementary form that was Saul who did nothing and adapted his behavior negligibly at best once he confirmed Larry was woefully underprepared. At that point he made decisions with new information in mind that overtly lowered Larry’s chances line failing to arm him with valid information he specifically had and also Larry specifically didn’t have re: survival. That’s perplexing and something I literally can’t imagine not doing . Imagine doing that to your mate - you know they don’t know simple life saving information.
Well, at least a bunch of female hot tubbers were spared having to escape from Larry.
Ha ha ha too funny 😂

Larry would probably chicken out and wear board shorts after claiming he was an orgy expert all trip.
