This TV show always makes me realize how happy we actually are. It really makes me be thankfull for what I have!!
yearly reminder to be happy!
This show is funny 😅
It reminds me to stay comfortable in my warm bed!!
If I'm having a horrible day I watch the show cops, no matter how bad my day is I'm not an 80 pound heroine addict being chased naked down the street on TV, shits okay
I was thinking the exact same thing. My hangover isn't that bad bc I have everything else comforting except a warm skinny cousin to cuddle 😂😂. 3 days on the island lol they make it seem like a mth.
For being stuck on a Deserted island 🏝 these guys were absolutely hilarious. The actors definitely make their Survival stories more realistic to watch.

I used to watch "I shouldnt be Alive" 15+ years ago when it was on discovery. The hiking date one got me hooked. This one was definitely a fun light hearted one. Back then I didn't know anyone who watched the show. It's nice to go through the comments to find so many that enjoy the show like me. 😊
yup, me too. The hiking date ib Palm Springs. They found a dead hiker? Crazy!! I looked up the dead hikers story. Pretty sad.
@soulofhawk1742 oh yeah! Gotta look that up. I still have to finish the series. I'm trying to turn my niece onto the show. The dog that ran for help in utah was a good one too. She did situps to stay warm! The nurse who got lost in the grand canyon for 20 days is nuts. She was lucky asf😆
Yes we're all here
I have the whole series on DVD, including season 1 and 2 which were actually kind of hard to come by. Season 3 and newer were much better marketed.

That’s what I wanted to do for work. But the current took me in a different direction.
And I thought the acting was particularly good too
It has to be torture to be so thirsty, surrounded by water you can't drink.
Oh yeah, the irony... the biggest space of water on earth is actually the biggest and most brutal desert on earth. No Shade and absolutly no drinkable watersource anywhere.
You can make sea water to fresh water. It takes time, and you need to have like few bits & bobs for it, like 2 stones & a cup with some plastic
But those lost In the desert would drink that same sea water
@@jenniferjadunauth1433 No they wouldn't. It would make them dehydrate faster. Meaning the organs inside the body will loose whatever reserve you have and shut down the body faster.
Water water everywhere and not a drop to drink
As terrifying as this experience was, it def was the most enjoyable to watch. The mind set of these 2 played a huge role in their survival. I'm glad they made it home to their loved ones

I'd honestly always make sure I had a full proof form of communication. I think t's important to have someone to call at least once a day to make sure they know your ok. After watching these shows I've actually made a habit of always letting someone know where I'm going when I leave the house.

I lived and sailed the Sea of Cortez for 5 years. It is one of the most beautiful and the sea so rich in life. But man, it is not for giving. It is a desert. So dry that bees use to fly out to our boat even when we anchored out nearly a mile. They could sense fresh water and would swarm us for any water. We would put a pan out and they would swarm it. Same with our galley sink. Hundreds. We never got stung. That’s how dry it is there.
Those guys were way over their heads before they even started. I participated a few times looking for kayakers lost and in trouble out there. Seas kayaking was a popular tourist activity. I Once rescued and saved a lady that absolute would have died had my wife and I not found her. Very wonderful but unforgiving to the unprepared. I
I know nothing about the area but as there have been a couple of these episodes off the coast of Mexico, including ones with fatalities, I believe it.
Ahhhh so cute with the bees, i make them a "watering hole" in summer, and thy all gather round like impala round a river in Africa lol. Bees and other pollinators struggle alot even in the UK during the summer for water 💦. Like ur comment here 😬
give the area a nick name ..tell us
PsYcOpiNk Off topic but bees are so sweet, their little bug fuzz and cute tongues! I like giving the weak ones some sugar water during the heat, I live in the Asscrack of Alabama in the US, so it gets pretty hot
I had to teach my kids that "bees are not viscous if you mind your business" they love to drink from the little plastic kiddy pool in my yard and i have had to play bee rescue a few times, they are ALWAYS greatful to be saved and have never stung any of us. I am allergic to them too so my kids get a huge kick out of it when they're all scrambling away and mom has to come get the bee while the boys are being cowardly LOL
I've always enjoyed this show but this is probably the best I've seen due to the acting. I laughed watching that guy jumping back and forth trying to catch the crab I'm glad they made it out alive.❤❤❤
I know!! I watched this video stoned and it was really something at some parts, especially the crab scene
I highly doubt they behaved the way they claim I'm sure it was much more serious and desperate. They were dehydrated, starving, and scorched by the sun even if you were somehow willing to be positive, your brain chemistry wouldn't be capable. Yep. I grew up in Vermont and was in the Infantry 27 years. I often spend time alone in the woods, but leave an itinerary, ALWAYS have at least a day pack with enough for4 days (which can be one ration and water plus iodine tablets, a poncho and a gun (often in VT, there is no cell service, but 3 shots is a widely recognized distress call. Fire 3 shots, and people know that means somebody is in trouble and after 10 minutes fire 3 more and they can get a decent azimuth, even without a companss and distance estimate. And, you can hunt and while most animals in VT are not dangerous, I would rather be armed than not and of course some basic first aid equipment. I was lost with 2 friends in the Florida Everglades for 2 days until we found our way out. I tell you this the 2 worse things, thirst and freaking mosquitoes 🤬
That sounds really really scary too all the alligators and shit omggg
@@Thecatnamedkiwi crazy
Go on the show!
Scary

When you watch one episode of this series, you have got to watch all and you have got to hunt for more when they don't automatically come to you.
The acting can really make OR break these episodes.
Thank God for those men that came upon them and chose to help them.
Loved the light tone of this one with some laughter added in. Afterall, "Pelicans don't kayak" 🤣
Could have Calle 911/ Mexican SOS
This is gold! Definitely helping the hangover! The acting is straight out of high school drama class. Usually these are intense and serious, but this is awesome. They had to have done this on purpose. That cactus bit was hilarious! ... lol
This duo is made in heaven ❤I’m glad they survived it was indeed a near death experience 😢
I highly doubt they behaved the way they claim I'm sure it was much more serious and desperate. They were dehydrated, starving, and scorched by the sun even if you were somehow willing to be positive, your brain chemistry wouldn't be capable. No calories or water for energy and the intense heat would all affect their cognitive abilities. This is a fun dramatization but no way this is actually how it happened.
The reenactment of crab hunting had me rolling!!!
Survivors: A little bit of humor of course helped.
Actors: Got it!
I have never laughed at one of these the way I just did lol
Reality: I highly doubt they behaved the way they claim I'm sure it was much more serious and desperate. If I was stranded on a desert island I just pray that it is with these guys
This one of my favorite episodes. These two are so funny in a desperate time.
Watching this series has gotten me to the point where instead of going to sleep on the plane, I want to be on the lookout for castaways
"Pelicans don't go kayaking. " lol
I wonder if I can survive that, what can one do to train yourself to survive such situations?
@@ernestmulenga6782 I wouldn't attempt that. Lol
🤣
Hilarious, trying to catch the crab, it only has a brain the size of a pea,
I'm thinking you dont have much more mate, but I am so glad these guys survived.
Probably the funniest survival episode I have ever seen
"I'd know that crab anywhere" lol!
I hope the people who saved them are gonna watch this at some point of their lives realising “hey that was me!” Haha
No they need to contact the Mexicans and thank them, if it was the other way around they wouldn't have saved them!
@@darrellalexander8259Ten to one, the Mexican fishermen thought the two were drug runners run afoul.
why would you go out into shark infested waters on that little flimsy sail boat in the first place? 🤦🏾♂️
You would think people know better but that's why I love watching these shows cause they teach you what NOT to do.I am very comfortable exploring the world from my livingroom!
it's silly but some people really crave adventure
Sounds like something I would do...
Good Point.🤔🤔🤔🤔
For the adrenaline rush Same reason people go on rollercoaster rides ..it's fun !🤪🙄 ( personally I hate rollercoaster rides.. too scary 😳)

Hammerhead shark: That hurt my feelings
*Amazing the view of that mountains*
It's unbelievable how much trees do to help humans even if the tree is a cactus !
Just as long as it isn't a mescaline containing cactus tripping hard on the middle of a desert island with no supplies might not actually be the best survival strategy.
@@5688gamble 😂😂😂
Living in the desert all my life, I'll give you a fun fact... not all cactus can be consumed, some are toxic
They were very lucky that cactus was not toxic! In another ep, an elderly couple ate prickly pears & ended up regretting it.
Where are you from
Tool Girl!🤘🏻
The only good one is round, flat, and has buttons arranged upon it...shaped like a tennis ball that got stepped on...just make tea out.of the buttons and enjoy
Didn't know that..
Glad you both made it. It truly pays to be prepared skill wise and ready to take on the very worst that could happen. Hints the saying prepare for the worst and hope the best.
For such a serious story, these guys are funny! 😆 😆 😆
The crab scenes and music 🦀 had me in pieces 🤣🤣🤣
I just got to that part as I read your comment. LOL VERY FUNNY
They should’ve held onto the cinco de Mayo balloon. It’s reflective and could’ve been used to alert the planes to their plight.
I’m glad the hammerheads and other fish were denied a tasty human meal during the three days. In nature versus human movies I usually cheered on killer bees, piranha and crocodiles because humans in those movies act so stupid they shouldn’t be allowed to affect the gene pool. But I’m glad these two guys survived. As a builder of a sailboat that was capsized on its maiden voyage in a freak storm I can identify with this story.
Love that they kept a sense of humor and always looked out for each other

For me the biggest surprise was they still had the keys to the truck and a way to pay for the snack food and gas
Me too
me too
They could’ve had money in their truck, and some trucks have a pad lock that you can type a code into to unlock it. They probably left their keys in the truck
Traded the spare tire or tools or CDs or whatever they had
“I skipped that class in school” 😂😂
That was great! The first one that I didn't have to stop 50 times to get my anxiety down. Great laughs
Incredible story of bravery and determination. I don't think they would have made it another day.
