Let me tell you something about Robert Downey. When he was top of his game as Ironman he came to an AA meeting my father was hosting. My dad was shocked to find a genuine compassionate person, not a pompous Hollywood Star. Downey is the REAL deal. anonymity. Let me make CLEAR I'm not a member of AA and am under NO obligation to follow any rules of the AA organization. As a Catholic I DO NOT expect you to follow my churches rules. IF I was a member of AA I would follow ALL rules set down by the organization. I hope I've made my position Very Clear on the "anonymity rule" for members of AA.

I couldn’t have been happier when Iron Man blew up. I battled my own demons in my adolescence, and it was hell, but I didn’t do it in the spotlight like RDJ. I felt he was so ridiculously talented, and it would’ve been a shame if he couldn’t share that talent with the world. I found myself praying for him to conquer his demons. I was so glad to see him not only survive, but flourish. It also helps that he seems like a pretty cool guy. He’s one celebrity with whom I wouldn’t mind having a chat.
