  • I talk about the best, money making attachments we have for Ventrac. I also talk about all of our attachments but I focus more on the ones that we use the most and bring in the most cash!

    Bradley, thank you for sharing. I appreciate all the insights. Great idea of running the power bucket in the back and power rake in front at the same time. Good luck with surgery. Thank you for your service to our country. PS loved to see Norwegian Elkhounds. I have two, Thor and Elsa. Thor died in 2018.

      OMG!!! A fellow Elkie owner!! That's awesome! My surgery was a year ago, January 2022. I'm doing ok but even though I got the tumors removed, my body is stilled wrecked from other stuff, man :) I am sorry sorry about Thor. We lost one of our Elkies, Bryn, back in 2018 but we still have her sister, Anja. That helps a little.

    Great review of the attachments Bradley. What ever future jobs you get, you will be well prepared with the range of attachments you have. Praying for a successful surgery and a sound and efficient recovery for you. Last time I had surgery, they said go to sleep and I'd be fine after I awakened. Well, I woke up with half of my left leg gone. LOL! Probably a little dark humor there, but it works for me. Hey, I like your your new travel (transport) method, "Beam me up Scotty." Ya gotta watch Scotty though. He's getting little long in the tooth and slow! Once in a while the technology malfunctions and you might not be completely reassembled. Loved Star Trek. One of my favs. God bless my friend. May the joy of the Lord be your strength and peace through all of this!

    Enjoyable video - thank you! Outside of discussing a business case for Ventrac and attachment ownership-- any private owner will definitely enjoy getting whatever attachments get their unique chores done. All of them are all well engineered. And the more creative ways- and days- that the Power unit is put to use just adds to the satisfaction and justification of having one. ...Not to mention-- it WILL be fun! That's in the bag.
    Bradley - very best to you.

  • @PapaSanDoc

    First I want you to know how sorry I am about your cancer scare. One of life’s biggest uncertainties. Being a vet and a former broadcaster (over 30 years), I am thoroughly impressed with your production quality. You are creative and extremely professional. To me, one of the best continual, articulate presentations on CZcams. Conversely, my wife and I will be purchasing land in KY probably in the (hopefully) relatively near future to set up a small homestead. 20-30 acres or so. I have now been brought up to speed thanks to this and other videos of yours regarding the many attachments offered by Ventrac and their applications. My one burning question is whether the Ventrac can cut a moderate length hayfield, say an acre or so. If it is doable then the Ventrac will be the machine of choice and I won’t have to even consider a small tractor. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Hopefully you’ll feel up to answering my question soon. As you were soldier…

    Great video I have the tough cut, stump grinder, power rake and power bucket to start. Next I’m thinking of a flail mower

  • @billlumberge3508
    @billlumberge3508 Před rokem

    Here’s another example - your tire pressures will also effect your power rake level.
    Have you ever had a snow blower wear out a shoe or blade on one side more ? It’s your psi on your tires
    Want to cut a swale ? Then lower a tires or remove 1
    With that trencher -- watch out for fiber optics - they are are stringing out that line everywhere

    • @bluecordprecisiongrading2504
      @bluecordprecisiongrading2504  Před rokem

      Tires pressures are important but regarding the Power Rake, the "height gauge" is only a reference. The TRUE height is indexed after you set a height and start moving material. On the old Power Rake each crank is .125".
      I personally don't mess with tire pressures to cut a swale. I can do that without deflating the tires, then reinflating later for level grading.
      As far as trenching, we have an account with 811 and request a utility ticket for each job where we are moving soil with a piece of powered equipment as per the law. Internet companies rarely take the time to mark their lines, indicating that the work plan looks good and they don't have a line within the area...not true many times. They would rather send out a crew to fix a severed line than to send manpower out to mark it.

      Thanks, Ryan! The Ventrac Auger hasn't been in production for many years! This one was still new in the crate about 3 years back and was found somewhere in Canada. I was going to buy it and then my friend Paul bought it before I could...then said he didn't use it enough and offered to sell it to me. I don't use it much but it's pretty awesome to have! You need to have the Versa Loader as well. I'm sure you could buy an after market auger and have it fabricated to fit the Versa Loader. I'm pretty sure the auger diameter is 12 inches. There was also another auger with a wide flare at the top for tree planting
