  • *IF YOUR DOOR IS JAMMED SHUT, Just use a flat head screw driver to pop off the inside of the door handle. Then use a 10millimeter socket to take the two bolts out to release the handle from the door plastic. Then on the inside you will see two cables, they are for the top and bottom latches. One of them likely popped out. Just use a needle nose plyers to pull on it and door will release.
*Then jump to the final 6 minutes of this video to see how I fixed it so it didn't happen again. Hope this helps.
This is a 2011 F-150 SuperCab I have that had the rear passenger door jammed. I removed the inner door plastic and found it was just a loose cable.
This shows how to remove the plastic and what I fixed

Thank you so much. After seeing what the likely problem was, I simply removed the door handle and sure enough that was my problem also. I was able to reattach the cable using a pair of pliers. No need to remove the door panel!

How do you do this fix if you're unable to get the door open to work on it?

Sorry just saw this. Mine was stuck like that too.
I tried to loosen up the plastic so I could get access to the handle from the inside and see why it was stuck. If I remember right, after I got part of the plastic off I was able to reach inside and open the door manually flipping the latches holding the door shut with a tool.
      Hope that helps

What if the lock on the bottom won’t open and the cable is jammed? I can’t get inside that hole

I have the same problem with my 2012, had one autobody guy diagnose the problem. But can't figure out how to fix it.

I'm not sure. I'd say if there's no way to break it loose after getting the door plastic off and exposing the inside, you might have to have a professional figure it out.
