Ford F150 super cab (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) rear door will not open. EASY FIX 😎

Fix the rear door latch of your 12th generation Ford F150 (2009 - 2014). Both of my read doors stopped working at almost the same time and from what I've heard this is a very common issue with these vehicles. Luckily, it is an easy fix, save your money and do it yourself!
This only requires 3 tools!
10mm socket
6mm socket
a flat head screw driver

Quick question if you happen to read this soon. i have the same issue. Couldn't u just take the door handle off and then pop the csble back on without removing the entire door panel ? Thanks for the vid !

Thanks brother appreciate it very much!! you save me at least $200 or more with the mechanic, and it was exactly the same thing and the same door that you showed us, that little thing come off, put it back as well and I also add the zip tie working great now. I guess ford messed up on those models with the door mechanism

Thanks! You helped make this repair on my 2013 F-150 relatively simple. Both of my cables were out of the guides on the latch. The zip tie takes out that extra bit of slack in the cables and should prevent them from backing out in the future.

I am prepping to swap out my left rear door cable (random car alarm while parked and when the alarm is not set, the lights come on randomly as if the rear door was opened). I couldn't find a supercab panel removal video for this job, the closest I found was on the crew cab, which is significantly different! I appreciate your stable photography and positive attitude. Also, I didn't even know that the door latch was potentially going to be an issue in the future! Well done.
