- Alisha and her boyfriend Quincy scramble to bring everything inside from their patio after receiving a tornado warning in Dallas, Texas. The tornado is already approaching and Alisha states that they have around two minutes to get everything inside. Alisha holds the door to keep it from swinging wide open while Quincy quickly brings in his tools and other supplies. Luckily, both Alisha and her boyfriend were able to make it through the tornado unharmed.

Tornados aren’t like hurricanes .. most of the time you don’t have time to prep for a tornado. Also, pretty sure they weren’t in the direct path. Nothing wrong with putting your things inside when you’ve got wind gusts that won’t destroy your home

Sometimes there are only just warnings, but they're usually longer than two minutes, you just have to be checking the weather service before the event to keep track of things. And you certainly shouldn't be prioritizing camerawork.

If we had been in the center of the house by the bathroom we would have been toast.. boards came through the bathroom and the ceiling , the roof and the center of the house came off on half the house and the opposite end too... It basically came through 2/3 of the place. We were in the living room on the end it didn't hit ❤ I thank God for forgiving and letting us live a bit longer! 😊😂❤

Glass can sustain the uniform pressures associated with wind speeds of 200 miles per hour. It’s the flying debris you have to worry about unfortunately. Stairwell?

Ever see a tornado take a high rise down? Yea, they don’t . So what is wreckless? Glass that is 10 x more resistant to impact than a typical home with 1/8”ds units? High rises use minimum 1” units 1/4-1/2,1/4 , tempered, sometimes laminated . Of course it can and will still fail in a powerful enough tornado but the tower always remains standing. Are you suggesting they design without glass so it’s safer if there is a tornado? Might as well build cement boxes .

I’m only seeing this now but around a similar time last year I was alone at work when a tornado almost dropped right on my workplace. I had ten minutes of notice and I managed to move my car to a more sheltered place, lock the doors, and hide in the innermost part of the building. It damn near sounded like the skylights were gonna pop with how the hail sounded. The tornado in question luckily didn’t make a direct hit on the building or a very long touchdown, but if it had it would have hit right at me and very likely hurt the few other people in the building at the time.

I found myself standing in the doorway at work back in January when the tornado hit.The winds were so strong and pulling the door just like that because it opens outward. I managed to get it closed and went and got on my knees and started praying.The tornado passed over us but around the corner right by the highway you see where it went through the woods and just cut down these giant trees. I thank God/Yahua always for sparing us

I’m not being rude to anybody here but tips because I am a tornado expert, do not start going outside and grabbing your stuff please do not film because that can be a result of danger because you’re not worrying about yourself you’re worrying about catching the footage of the tornado and you need to go away from windows or doors because it can shatter and telling your face result in injury or death thank you.😁
