I love that Gordon jokes around about hating vegetarians, but when it comes to actually cooking he is serious about respecting them and calling out chefs who don't.
Joking is one thing, but feeding someone something that they dont want to eat is another (goes both ways, there was a story about vegan feeding some allergic substitute to non-vegan making him end up in hospital).
You never know if it's a dietary issue. You should always treat a customer's order as though getting it wrong could kill them.
It's just basic respect. Someone says they can't eat something, it's not funny or cool to secretly give them that thing.
She could’ve easily choked on her food because of the fact that she had no idea that there were bones in her tomato sauce. She got very lucky
Well yeah they’re paying customers.
The woman who said the ravioli was hot when literally everyone else agreed it's cold is beyond delusional
It's kinda of like a libtard. Delusional.
Arguing with a world class chef is liable to get you killed. The delusional part is she said it went from cold to hot. Gordon Ramsay kept his cool throughout service and that's a big credit to him.
@@TheMrCC21 John Taffer and his experts and his crew will now get y’all with this food industry in the crossed contaminated kitchen right in front of Gordon Ramsey. That pork bone sauce clip always drives me up the wall because guess what dude, even if that person wasn't vegetarian they shouldn't be finding the bones on their plate!!
Exactly wtf I don't want bones in my sauce smh
@@paulcoleman292it’s weird like I’m eating witch sauce. You’d find bones in a witch’s sauce
Not to mention, eating pieces of uncooked bone can lead to internal bleeding. Which is why humans can eat dog food, it contains pieces of bone. 1000 Ways to Die, had an episode of a guy eating dog food and died from it. Pieces of bone caused internal bleeding. Never eat anything harder than clay.
@raymondamador1487 huh, the more you know! Learning something new every day
Why is there pork bones in a sauce anyways?
Whenever I see that poor guy getting sick off the lobster I KNOW he was feeling awful because most people say they’re fine if it’s even slightly tolerable.
I hope he was ok.
she stuck her finger in the ravioli and was really giving it back to the customer 💀
It magically went from cold to hot. She doesn't know how temperature works with food.

@@thomasthedankengine1624nah lol, it’s just a reference to the “watch this or i’ll get fired” video
@kennynelson3189 oh okay
Wood fired pizza?
I can't believe that guy is baffled by the fact that it's a problem to serve a vegetarian something with meat in it. He can't see the point. If he makes his sauce with pork bones that's absolutely fine, just make sure that the vegans and vegetarians know about it lol. Don't surprise them and be like "oh that's how we do it!"
For some people one tic bite can make it so they can never eat meat again. It can be very serious. My father is a strict vegetarian because he has a hole in his heart and he breaks out in bloody hives and meat ropes through his stomach. People just don’t take it as seriously and it baffles me too.
Or make a separate sauce that is vegetarian friendly
Vegetarian or not, the bone in the sauce is still a choking hazard isnt it?
400 likes! Glad to see we're all so passionate about health and safety 😂
Indeed, even if they dont choke, can cut your esophagus on the way down.
Yes it is a choking hazard, not only that but it's also easy to make a veggie-base sauce the same as a meat-base sauce.
As well as internal bleeding. Rock hard bone that can't be digested, would be a death sentence.
Chip ya teeth too. Been there. You can sue?
How long does the bone need to stay in the sauce? Can't they just take it out just before service starts?
If ur going to be a owner of a restaurant, you must be prepared for criticism
Tell that Amy lol
If you apply to be on a show called "Kitchen Nightmares' you better be able to handle criticism
Right? You gotta be able to take criticism constructively when it's valid or let it roll of your back when you feel it's not. Personally, I would take to heart every word of advice from a Michelin star chef, and ignore the odd Karen-esque complaint that all businesses get from time to time. You'll never please everyone all the time, but if you're not pleasing anyone ever, you might be the problem!
Most of them seem to feel that it’s not the food that’s the problem, even though that’s what people go to a restaurant for.
Ones of the most thing do the chef to teanchme are the critics, because is the most thing you recive in this industry
I’ve never seen Chef Ramsay so supportive of a vegetarian 😂😂
He cares about people, he hates bad chefs.
Because vegetarian are delusional n are unwell but you can make money out of them.
Have to understand that some people may be vegetarian for health or religious reasons and it is not acceptable to ask why.
Think it's more that he doesn't like people who are vegetarian for "moral" reasons.
@@FaithRox Exactly. But Gordon is always joking about vegetarians he's never meant it.
@@FaithRox It's not that either, he just likes taking the piss out of people and if someone is vegetarian he will use that against them.
Gordon really doesn't like vegetarians, but he damn sure respects that those people need properly cooked food to eat.
Gordon is a fake
As a vegetarian, it's funny AF.
Exactly, Gordon wants people to get the food they ordered, even if it’s a 😱 vegetarian ordering lol
We can joke about Vegetarians all we want but in the end, if someone asks for a Vegetarian/Vegan option then you do not contaminate that with meat products. I don't care if they are a one by choice or by actual medical stuff, you respect the Vegetarian/Vegan options.
Exactly!! I have a pork allergy, a fuckup like that would have me hospitalized! And even if I just didn’t want to eat meat, that should be respected too!
Gordan: “you’re serving pork bones, in the sauce, to a vegetarian?” The guy: 😐
Even if the person wasn't vegetarian, there shouldn't be bones in the sauce.

The thing that baffles me about this episode is how calm Gordon is.
oh yeah he's calm on the first period, but when he gets into the fridge and finds raw meat next to cooked meat, he loses that calm manner completely.
Which is actually understandable bc raw meat/cooked meat together, and escpecially if it's chicken, is a major health violation and by far the stupidest thing you could ever make.
I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE STUCK HER FINGER IN THE FOOD AND GAVE IT TO THE CUSTOMER!
as someone who doesn't eat beef or pork for religious reasons, i would be horrified and also would never eat at that place again if i was served something "vegetarian" with that many meat products in it.

What religion is that? 2023?
AS A HINDU MYSELF, I THINK BEEF IS THE BEST MEAT .

Lol
Gordon seeing a bone always disappoints
"We could possibly kill them": I think they used that sound bite in the opening theme for that season.
Owner: "I DO give a shit about the restaurant!"
Also Owner: "I don't want to talk to an angry customer."
90 % of the time gordon is stuck being a psychiatrist for the owners smh
Psychologist. Psychiatrist proscribes medications.
@@itsnotabanana2524 with how most of these owners act maybe he does after the filming is done xD
What shocks me more than the vegetarian issue is that John had no issue that there were bones in the sauce. That’s a hazard!
I hope the customer that got sick from the lobster sued that restaurant.
Some people are allergic to meat, its not always a lifestyle choice to be vegetarian.
I have never had anything like this happen, but I can already imagine how haunting that’s gotta feel to have cooked something from a decomposing animal and then have someone get sick
Can’t wait for the new season, so we can get more of these great titles.

First time I seen him stand up for a vegetarian lmao
It's about professionalism as a chef. If someone orders a meatless dish you serve them a meatless dish, it's what the customer ordered.
he does it another time for pescetarians when a restaurant was blackening all the meat in the same pan
@@knottheory79220 Exactly. His opinion about Vegetarians changed over the years, but even if back then he did not really like them, he has respect for them. And in the end, it is a difference if it is a personal opinion or a job.
I mean, talking or joking is one thing. Actually feeding someone something that they don't want to eat is whole different level.
it can make them sick, that's a reason for it.
Owners who refuse to accept responsibility for their failure is absolutely astounding.
Owners like Rita are those who don't believe in the "The customer is always right". For them, the customers are always wrong, and they (the owners) are always right. I'm beyond shocked at how stubborn and delusional restaurant owners can be
Exactly. Customers are right like 15-20% of the time.
Season 8 premieres on Fox September 25, 2023. Kitchen Nightmares is back after 10 years. I can't wait!

Omg I’d crumble to dust if I went 19 days without sleep 💀💀 I’m both deeply concerned and deeply impressed by whoever set that record
How do people open restaurants and serve food like this, when the first thing they teach you about cooking even before you begin is basic food safety? Mind boggling.
I really appreciate that even though Gordon likes to clown on vegetarians, he does stick up for us when it comes to our food. I haven't eaten meat in almost 14 years, my system is NOT adapted to it anymore, I likely WILL get sick if I eat it, even if it's just trace amounts like using pork bones in a sauce.
I love that the uk show was mostly Gordon ragging on vegetarian food but then he came to defend the vegetarians in the us 😂💕
Well there’s also a safety risk , Vegans and Vegiterians can develop poor reactions to meat
@@adrianawilliams4810 yes exactly and I don’t think it’s morally ok to feed someone something against their ideals either especially when they’re paying you for it
I do not blame the lady for being on her phone while she wasn’t getting paid to work, F that
then dont volunteer for the job
if she'd led with that, i think gordon would have handled that differently
She volunteered to help out, to help the owner, and honestly being on your phone when no one is coming isn't that big of a deal
I think that there are a few reasons. 1) it looks unprofessional for a business. 2) you are there to help, as a volunteer, you should know what tasks you are responsible for for the day.
There are two people up front with no customers coming in. I'm not asking for them to break their back not getting paid, but being a volunteer doesn't have anything to do with following rules as u still represent the business and owner.
I mean if you volunteer that means that YOU want to help without getting paid. If you don't want to help then just dont volunteer and find something else to do? I really dont get your point
Tbh if you're ordering lobster tail at a pizzeria you shouldn't be shocked when its trash lol
I thought it was an Italian restaurant? Isn’t lobster tail in some Italian cuisine?
Half the joint was a pizzeria the other was Italian. The guy basically owned 2 restaurants right next to each other.
"That's how we F***** it up everyday Chef Ramsay"
Coffee won't help someone who is in the washroom sick.
That's exactly what I said. Coffee is the last thing you need when you get food poisoning.

ngl the volunteer woman working the front was right. She should 100% be able to be on her phone lmao
Gordon new show always is legendary
I won't eat out and I love watching this show. The only thing I'll have in a restaurant is coffee. Lol. 😂
What gets me is how the hell do you mess up a pizza???
Simple - undercook the dough.
RE the pork sauce: Do we know if the vegetarian told her server that she's vegetarian? Because the vegetarian could have assumed that a normal red sauce is vegetarian, and the server didn't know she needed vegetarian sauce, and it was a misunderstanding. We don't know that they intentionally served non-vegetarian sauce to a vegetarian.
The bone fragment was definitely bad though. If you're cooking your sauce with pork bones, you need to put the bones in a mesh bag or something. And note that on the menu.
Vegetarian or not, sauce should not... No wait, let me put it more clear, sauce CANT have bones in it.
@@Koza6969 it definitely should not have had loose bones in it, and should have been noted on the menu. But if you've ever made chicken stock or beef stock for soups, you use bones. Bones don't end up in the final product because you strain it. I can see the logic in using bones for a pasta sauce. My problem is that they didn't list the sauce as non-vegetarian on the menu, and part of a bone ended up loose in her dish, so they did a careless job. It's like when you make a sauce and add bay leaf. You take the bay leaf out after the sauce is made. The difference being, though, that the worst a bay leaf could do to most people is give them a unpleasant mouthful.
It also needs to say. It shouldn't be assumed a regular red sauce has meat unless it's advertised as a meat sauce specifically
I would call the health department if that happened in Australia and report the restaurant especially finding a bone on the vegetarian meal that is just no words for that
what a big f******up omg 🤬🤬🤬
I feel like this is the appropriate place to celebrate the return of Kitchen nightmares next month (or october I forgot)
Bruh some people don't deserve to run a restaurant
You get busted on the phone, then get right back on the phone to say you got busted on the phone. But she isn't getting paid.
There are too many people running restaurants in that don’t belong in business
Gordon saying wtf sounded like Uncle Roger 😂
Why not make 2 sauces where one is for vegetarians and one for meat lovers?
I doubt he cared really. The menu obviously didn't mention there was meat used for the sauce, and the waiters/waitresses couldn't have known either because they would have told her. He just has no respect for anyone's food safety, which also explains buying that lobster that was obviously not good product.

new season starts in 35 days on Sept 25th. Who's watching?
I don’t understand the need for a bone in some sauce anyway. Plus you could choke
People have allergies. The customer HAS to know what is in the food they’re ordering.
8.23. She's not being paid. She looked. She's looking after customers that come into the store. What is the problem?
That chef in the kitchen drives me nuts, especially with the damn lobster tail. “It’s not my fault, this is how e should do it”…fuck that shit, as a chef if you smell ammonia in fish that’s very very very bad. I’m not sure if that was staged or not, but that dude could’ve died

Kitchen nightmares without the kitchen 😔
And they wonder why they’re failing!! 😂😂😂
worst nightmare, customer gets food poisoning
Aside from the fact that it was a bone, did the vegetarian not ask if there was any meat products in it? Like if it didn't specifically say vegetarian you should ask just in case no?
I go out to dinner with my cousin and his wife once a year and this make me wonder what the hell I'm eating!!!!!
I hope the man sued the restaurant for bad lobster
Kitchen nightmares was actually made to find all the mentally ill and raise awareness about their struggles
Imagine serving lobster that you can smell ammonia off of...might as well add some rat poison to that "vegetarian" sauce and some clorox to the soup
When did so many kitchen nightmare haters spawn so quick 😂
Bones aside; a warning on the menu about pork or any kind of meat in an Italian sauce could have saved some trouble . . or was there?
Pork, veal, sausage are supposed to be in spaghetti sauce. A vegetarian dosen't have any business ordering that in the first place.
My family has a history of allergy diseases where we can be allergic to things like meat, saw my aunt have meat and throw up blood once, I’m the same with soy and milk, I can’t believe some people do this, it’s bad enough we have to check everytime for allergens but let alone when people don’t take cross contamination sick or hide things without disclosing
