- Almost 24 hours later, it still doesn't feel real.
.
Nothing like a natural disaster to put you right into an existential crisis. It was unexpected, but that's life. I hope everyone is taken care of now that it's passed.
.
There's a saying about rebirth from ashes but I think we'll probably write a couple albums about it instead.
.
Here was my experience.

That EXIT sign is so surreal...!
I remember my friend and roomie and I were in High Garden the DAY before this happened. The night of the tornadoes I just thought they were bad thunderstorms and my roomie banged on my door and we didn't have a basement so we took cover in the most central part of our house that we could find. They were supposed to rip through our area but didn't even come close. I still can't get over how crazy this was, and how badly they also hit North Nashville and Putnam.
I remember this night, I didnt have power for almost a week and my house had tons of damage to it.
I moved back to NY just before this and the bomb in the metro.
This was literally the saddest event I have experienced in my 20 years of living in Nashville. So many small lives were destroyed. Thank you for covering the damage in East Nashville.
I’m also super surprised they let you near attaboy during that time. So sad.
AAAAHHH!!!! I HOPE ALL SAVED AND OK
I live in tennessee one of the 15 tornados just barely missed our house
At 0:38 hear a fire alarm
Nooooooooooo😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
I vividly remember the tornado, my school was destroyed.
I live in Murfreesboro about 20 miles from Nashville...Murfreesboro gets more tornadoes unfortunately 🥺...But Nashville is my home town, so it makes me sad...
Hey
I here specter alert advance if wanted to know the model name of those siren
I here so many alarms even a gentex commander at the end of the video I want to know how and why do fire alarms go off when some of or part the building starts braking because of the tornado
Uhm, well it could start with the electrical system being impacted with such force, It could be when the tornado hit the building and started uprooting electrical wires. I'm sure there are so many factors here that would make sense. Also, fire alarms are sometimes pulled from a lever on the wall which could have been on the side of the building that was being hit. So many sensors and if you've ever had experience with a fire alarm a fly could set it off so the fact a tornado did is logical, tornado damage usually involves alot of electrical system damage and destruction especially when they take out entire transformers.
Wow
Hey Shotsbyp, do you have an email address at which we could contact you regarding this video? We would be interested to discuss a license to use this video if this is generally possible? (i.e. via email) :) Cheers, Felix
3:15 that exit sign
Yes you should know the answer
I was asleep on this night when I was woken up by a loud bang of thunder. Curious I turn Accuweather on and in Red it said and I Quote: Large Tornado in Eastern Nashville. My dads work place factory was completely destroyed. It was a factory he worked with for years giving his customers clean clothes and rags and wash cloth's. My uncle and his father lived around East Nashville and they caught part of it on camera. I was hoping and praying this thing wasnt heading towards my home county. Thankfully it missed us and went along and moved out of the state quickly after a few hours later.
My mom was kinda panicking as her brother lived around that area along with his father (AKA her Stepfather). Thankfully again it missed his neighborhood by a few miles away. After the night passed alot of people on facebook were uploading videos of this monster the next morning. And holy crap! This thing was big it was a confirmed EF-3. Thats considered a Major Tornado on the Fujita Scale. But compare this to the 1998 EF-5 and no contest that Titan destroyed miles of buildings
1:03 Look at what you did!!!!!!!! Tornado look at what you did!

So!? Because I hate tornado, loves: sunny, rain without thunder
