Nashville Sirens Sounding During Tornado | FS 508 & Ambience | 12/09/23

Here's a full-length cut of the some of the siren activations I captured during my chase in Tennessee back in December. The 508 is located on TN SR12 and Old Hickory Blvd, near some railroad tracks. The ambience was also taken on SR12 but along the Cumberland River near a bridge.
I was not expecting anything more than a bust during this trip. But then things happened, and the storms initiated fast. I was able to intercept two, tornado-producing supercells. Unfortunately, both were rain-wrapped and considering the rotation signatures on radar, I kept my distance. They were also higher-end PDS tornado warnings with one being a tornado emergency. Overall, the outbreak dropped a total of 18 tornadoes, with sadly 7 fatalities. The strongest of which, an EF3 which slammed into Clarksville.

3:39 I have had an idea for an animated desktop I've wanted to make in Clip Studio Paint for half a year now, and this is damn near close to what the audio in my head has sounded like. I've been struggling to find "distant tornado siren sound" audio and this is the closest I've come.
he has MANY other videos on his channel that has siren ambience ONLY clips... just gotta take the time to actually check them all for what you're looking for and drop a comment asking for permission to reuse his audio/video.

I still remember sitting on the phone with some people tracking this storm on my computer and good god… even just seeing it through a computer screen was horrifying.

One day I was home alone and I heard this and I thought this was the fire fighters but it was a tornado and my brother was friends when the ceiling fell off

I remember in the december 2021 storm hearing one of st peter's 2001-130s and surprisingly it was going off in alert and that was the only time I heard a st peter's siren in alert. During tests they sound in attack. this 508 has something simular to the 2001s in st peters It's solar powered.

Wow! Definitely different from what I expected to hear after seeing Charlie Davidson’s siren and chase video from 2009 with the ATI. How long ago were the ATI sirens replaced?
It's been about 11 years since the replacement began. So it's been awhile. But now that I think of it, the 508s/Eclipses have already outlived the ATI system which was only active for ten years.
@@DSRX100 oh wow! They must have found them rather unreliable if they were only active for that long.
@@GMTX-kg8ep The ATIs were hot garbage. The newer system is a lot more reliable minus some battery issues.

The "attack" aka fast wail should only be used for nuclear attacks or other wartime emergencies as recommended by FEMA/Civil Defense.
