Your tutorials are great and helpful but that intro is pure ear-rape. Please make it quieter.
Lol Thank you. Yea there are times I forget to adjust it before I export it.
@@BarbrosGaming its horrendous
BUT I watched anyway and you saved the day so TY!
@@BarbrosGaming I like the intro
Do you usually listen to low-volume videos? Because my previous video was way louder...
Thank you so much this was actually super helpful!!!
+xXMeezyXx You're welcome! Thank you for the amazing feedback!
I’ve been searching for an hour and I’ve finally found it the most helpful video
Late to the party, but I'm so glad I found you. Will be using this in my next video for sure - thanks very much for making it! :D Subbed and liked of course.
Thank you. I used to think there was something wrong with my laptop when I editing but you were the only person who clarified that it lags in editing.
Bro thank you sooo much, you don't over complicate your explanations. It was such a help, I couldn't understand the whole overlay thing until now
Thanks so much this was really helpful! I wanted to do this for a while but didn't know how :D
Yes, now I can finally add green screen memes hehe
hehe same
Y e s
Nice
Me too
I don't know if it's like this for everyone, but for me when I use Size and position the background needs to be the bottom track, and the smaller video or picture always needs to be in the track above. If I have it reversed it doesn't work.
Thanks for this video!
Yes, I figured this out too. I should have read your comment instead of pulling out my hair. lol
@@drewcor7709 Thank you
this cleared a lot of frustration for me thank you. shotcut has a lot of shitty features like this apparently
@@samuraiedge3861 how else would it know which vid to overlay then?
This effect is also commonly known as PIP, or "picture-in-picture".
That's what it's called on my current editor too.
Man thank you soooo much
this was super clear and I was really helpful
thank you man!
Welcome! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment!
Do you know what could make the size and position filter make the smaller video's resolution go bad? that is what happens on my laptop, it's an i5, for no it has 4gb ram, i don't know how much that affects it. on a different laptop it doesn't show that behavior. thanks
Excellent! Thank you so much. I plan to add this to both my regular videos and my CZcams Shorts!
Thank you ever so much for this simple tutorial, really helpful with great advice!! new subscriber right here!
I have a question how do you overlay a video so that you can see both of them at the same time example say I have a outline of a clip and I want to see both the original and the outline on the same screen playing at the same time how do I do it?
thank you so much, it was very helpful. I have a question. What if I want to switch the order... here you are using the same videos in V1 and V2 so it does not matter, but say.. like in Power Point, you have the option of bringing a photo to the front or sending it back... so how can I do that here.... like instead of V2 on V1 , if I want to switch the order, put V1 on V2
Thanks you helped!! love it, screen laged in preview, finished ur video and blam!! =) Subbed
Thanks man, still helping people out in 2020
i have my regular video and the downloaded subcrube button video but im only seeing my main video . in other words they are not both showing simultaneously . can someone help? why arent both showing even though i have both at the bottom of shotcut overlayed
the more i thought overlay gonna be tough the easier it is ahaha thanks :)
Thanks for the tutorial dude. Unfortunately, my filter options are completely different. Click the '+' to add a video filter but just opens a list of 12 options, none of them have anything to do with 'size & position'. No other tabs to search through. Any thoughts? I've recently downloaded Shotcut about a week ago.
Hello sorry for the delay. In the filter tab at the bottom there will be a picture of a screen which represents all video filters. Then there is a picture of a speaker next to it which represents all the audio filters. There there is a commonly used button. You should find the size and position filter under the screen filters tab. Hope this helps.
Just downloaded the software, 2:15 I do not have that screen you clicked on at the bottom of video filters
when shotcut didn't work I downloaded videopad and it had a really easy video overlay feature and it's freeware too
OMFS THANK YOU!!! I have been trying to a) find free software that will do this and b) HOW to do it for freakin' ever! I only found both because of your videos. thank you so much!!! *subbed*
Thanks bro you helped me a lot! now I can post my video
thanks buddy, now i can do overlay easy by shotcut, thank you very much! really appreciate it
Thanks, man! Really helpfull!
THANK YOU REALLY MUCH THIS VIDEO WAS REALLY HELPFUL KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MAN!!
Thank you so much for that!! I'm glad that it helped out!
I have a question. Can each video overlay be adjusted in regards to the transparency of the overlayed image video. For example : setting main video to 100% and the 2nd videos set at 50% transparency so you would be able to see through each video one uses? Almost like Photoshop when you layer the images and you have the control to adjust different settings within each image? Thanks for your help 😀
bro quick question. OK I got how to do the overlay but can we do an overlay at specific moment and the switch back to the full screen and back then and forth
Thanks man, just downloaded this program to use
This was very helpful
Thank you very much for this. Been struggling with this part of the editing
Awesome no problem!
it's freaking awesome dude ! thanks !!! i need it so bad !
Thanks for this, super easy!
Hi there. Is it possible to change the audio after you already exported the video? I tried to add new audio to avoid copyright infringement and now it's scratchy and doesn't sound right. Do I have to start all over or can I make it work? Thanks.
Yes. You can mute out whatever audio you don't want in there with the "mute" filter. Then just place your new audio on top of it.
First of all sir you got a like & subscribe because you just taught me something and I'm beginning video editing at I thank you so much for this you only if you only knew how much this meant to me
Thank you for this tutorial, Barbros!
This was very useful, thanks!!
Thanks a lot!really needed it for my project.
Dope! Very useful video man. Thank you
Helpful, thanks!
hey I've just started to edit videos and I saw your video and I'm just woundering if you can edit audios that you exported like how do you minimize the audio of it and how you maximize the audio of it
Thanks a lot. I gained some new info from your video today. Thumbs up
I'm trying to do the opposite. How do you reverse it and get the larger video up front?
thanks for that. I just started using Shotcut so the tips are very helpful 😀
Thanks, Dude. Works great even with Portable version of Shotcut.
Thanks for this info, dude. I am now closer to making my project happen.
Awesome! I am happy to hear that! Hopefully it all works out!
Awesome, thanks so much man! Gonna use this for a music video :)
very helpful!
how do you allow for one audio to play then stop while one other video plays then start the audio over the other one again.... if that makes sense... Thanks!
You're amazing, thank you!
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much, it worked for me. From what I did it worked but make the top video the smaller one because i first it hid behind the bigger video and I had to resize both small to figure out which one had to be on top of the other video. Hope that helps to.
very nice video wanted this from a very looong time
thanks for making it
Awesome! i made my first meme thanks to you. instant sub bro
is it possible to darken the horizon and make the rest of an image lighter in shotcut
Best video ever thank you!
Hi, do I have to make multiple timelines if I want to have a few pictures on screen at the same time? Is there an easier way? Thx.
No. To prevent from doing this you can make your collage in something like photoshop then export the image then open it in Shotcut as one image. Besides that, yes you would need to make several timelines.
thank you so much, great help. Thanks
nice & simple tutorial! thank you for this!
Nice video man, fast, simple and educative. Well done
thanks man this saved me
I liked it
as always ...gj bro
+zolaneger Thanks man!
Greetings!
Does anyone knows how to smoothly overlay video while the video is playing, or can reference me to a tutorial for this? For example, I'm recording an electric guitar cover, but in the middle of the video, I'd like to overlay another video with the guitar solo.
Great video, thank you for the help!
Thank you so much!!
Awesome, thanks bro
is it possible to reshape it or do i have to do some greenscreen stuff for that ?
i'm having trouble layering multiple clips. I only wanted picture and picture at certain times through out the video, and only two of the three actually display over the main video, the others are hidden.
Be sure that your pictures are on their own track on the timeline. When they are, be sure your timeline for the pictures is at the very top.
nice tutorial, direct to the point!
Well done, Thank you
Very helpful and quality rocks way to go barbros
Thank you sir you are awesome yourself!
Very useful, thank you!
you are a life saver!
Helpful video. Very helpful.
Awesome! Glad you think so!
It is the same with audio right if you prerecorded on something else?
Thank you so much! This is so easy 😃
Thanks for that!
Thank you for this video you helped me out so much
You're welcome! Thank you for leaving the awesome feedback!
Can you shape the overlay like in a cicle or figure?
hey man, this is awesome. thanks for the explanation. I want to overlay a video but only want the talking face of the character on the other video. does that make sense? How do I do that?
Nevermind, I found the answer. Do you know how we can swap heads?
hey so the tutorial was really helpful but i got a quick question
when i do that the video will be slowed down as you said
but that will make it super hard to cut parts out or edit anything else
is there anyway i can add videos without it being slowed down
thank you
Absolutely! You don't have to slow down the whole video. You can slow down just a portion of it.
Very Very Useful, Thank You !!!
Thank you so much I'm glad it helped!
Many thanks!
Thank you very much.. really helped me :)
+WhatsUp You're welcome! I'm glad it helped!
osum

You're welcome! Thank you for the awesome feedback!
thank you this helped alot
how to play both videos at the same time? witouth having to resize one of them , i want to see both play at the same time.
Well you're going to have to resize one of the otherwise they will be on top of each other with one blocking the other.
@@BarbrosGaming yeah makes sence but im an animator and im trying to make an outro with a video that plays in the background so that my character layer thats in front with no background can move separately kinda like how frames and layers work in animation, i would just do it in my animation software but it wont work with video files hence why im trying in a video editing software, anyways thanks for the answer.
Thank you for this useful tutorial
Thank you!
thanks dude works for me
Awesome glad to hear that!
ty for your video!
YW!!
Great video! Thanks for this tutorial very easy to follow. Planning to do a reaction video of a MV this weekend. You mentioned it would be laggy. Laggy only while editing or laggy in general even after exporting it? Would appreciate if you get back to me soon!
you helped me so much thank you!
You're welcome! Anytime!
What if I wanted to make one of the videos a little opaque so they're both full screen
Thanks so much, Now I can do reactions:)
Awesome! Glad I could help!
