He is an Indigenous Australian man, they culturally have a spirutual connection to the land and animals. A Goanna looks like a streamlined Komodo, unlike its bigger cousin it is known for its speed and fearlessness

I saw Greg first play when he was at High School. At 17 and 18 years of age he first played Queensland Cup against fully developed men and he carved them up. At 6'4" he would have been a great Wide Receiver in American Football. My son got Greg's autograph when Greg was 17 years old because even though my son was about 8 years old at the time he recognised that Greg was going to play for Australia. Greg is genuinely an unassuming guy . A great Indigenous Australian .

Gotta love GI , a big man of league. When they reach a certain level in league like this we refer to them as immortals. There are currently 8 and only 5 living. GI and JT are both in line to become immortals.

G I is in my opinion the greatest player of league to ever play/live... he played predominantly center but also wing and fullback.. so much strength and speed and so knowledgeable about the game

He’s actually not that out there as you think. He’s a man of many word. He’s quite a reserved kinda guy. Doesn’t speak much but when he’s in his zone, he expresses it in his footy. I’m lucky I’ve got to see this legend play Live a handful of times. Majority in Purple with my beloved Melbourne Storms & once in QLD colours. Absolute freak of nature. Could have easily transitioned to NFL. RB or WR. All day

His last state of origin when he was the captain is one of his best games.

One of the most athletic players I have seen. Suggest you watch any of his State of Origin games, where he is playing for the Maroons/Queensland, you will see the passion

Definitely should check out Johnathon Thurston - awesome story, awesome player, awesome role model. Was told he was too small to play and would never see top grade, in his 1st year he game up his premiership ring to his mate & captain of the team (who missed the grand final due to injury and couldn't play) and never knew if he was going to get another as he was transferring to another team (who was for years at bottom of ladder) - became one of the greatest in the game ... and finally got his premiership ring in 2015 in one of the best grand finals of all time (won in extra time).
