More videos about Psycho-Pass will always be welcome. The more time advances, the more evident becomes the fact that our future comes closer to Brave New World than 1984.
When he talked about how art and creativity is stifled in Brave New World, the first thing I thought of was: wokeness, diversity checkboxes, and politically correction. Scary how the dystopia thought up in 1932 is coming closer and closer
@@kagekun1198 it’s survived the red scare, we’ll be fine.
1984 was a gross exaggeration to more effectively highlight the ideas and tells of a dystopia rather then an actual future
Yeah 1964 it's something that difficulty would work in a large scale, but it can go like that in certain places, i mean i'd say that North Korea is just a less advanced 1984.
Now Brave New World is indeed closer to our actual future.
I think Fahrenheit 451 is still the closest
Psycho pass is one of those anime with a really thought provoking message without sacrificing its "easy to watch" nature. Sometimes its really easy to say when a series is really "deep" but most of the time they fall into obscurity because they can be hard to digest for most people. Psycho-pass, ironically was able to balance that element and made it a really enjoyable action TV series with a masterfully crafted philosophical background. I've only seen a few anime do this, and psycho-pass is probably one of the best examples of this.
Angel's Egg would be a perfect example of your point about 'deep' anime that likely just turn off most viewers.
I love psycho-pass. Would love to see you delve deep into the other themes in it!
Yes hearing max break down the whole books read in the first season would be epic just imagining that is exciting
Seconded
the stress level system is such an amazing integration in the anime. I love the contradictory scenarios of low stress level of psychopath, while we have an actual real innocent person got trapped into high level stress situation & then "suffered" by the system, often to the extreme AKA death.
Also, I might be interpreted not accurately since it has been a long time that I watched the anime (all seasons). I think the anime also kinda subliminally implied that Sibyl system is a rather a more matriarchal totalitarian system, where emotions become the fundamental decision making in which govern the society.
Sounds like the direction which the US is taking lately
It's not so much that emotions are used for the decision making, it's that bad actors manipulate the emotions of the people so that their decisions gain public support. The emotional bs is just lies and subterfuge used to take advantage of useful idiots. This is how Marxist movements always gain traction, because if people were acting out of reason they would see the falsehoods for what they are and the movements would flounder.
Yes! Finally you analyze this criminally underrated masterpiece.
Is it really that underrated?
@@vree_ not the best thing in universe, but yes, underrated.
It was super popular on /a/ when it came out tho.
If you think this is underrated then you haven't an actual underrated anime in your life. Hidamari no ki is underrated, gosenzo-sama banbanzai is underrated, windy tales is underrated etc. not this.
Yeah like everywhere I go, every time someone mention Psycho-pass (season 1), people call it a masterpiece. The main character gets criticized somewhat often but that's about it. Maybe people talk less about it nowadays than when it came out, but it's definitively not underrated.
I actually started re-watching Pscho-Pass, since I only ever watched The first season. And it was scary how much I saw the real world in the anime.
Ikr, cameras and a lopsided system is on course towards that kind of Orwellian dystopia, the more in reality people gloss over.
from what I've heard about the following season I'm glad I've only seen the first season..... I'm under the impression the story never needed a follow-up it was complete
@@randomsandwichian And now works like 1984 are being derided as extremist propaganda. I wonder why.
@@pradeepdungdung4379 There was also a movie which was pretty decent and primarily featured the season 1 cast. It was about an attempt to export the Sybil system to another country.
@@darkprinc979 I recently saw Psycho Pass SS and I really liked it
I recommend another dystopian anime named "From the New World". I found it made a much greater impact on me then Psycho Pass even though I loved Psycho Pass.
Agreed, it's very interesting
Oh, yesss... The best critique of superhumans in fiction.
Hell yeah Shin sekai yori ftw
This was a great anime. I loved the philosophical elements throughout
Philosophical elements were the best!
I agree, this has to be one of the best anime's I've watched. And this is an incredibly well thought out analysis of the show. You even mentioned things that I didn't even realize!(like kogami and makashima being ying and yang)
Along with this, the subsequent movies and seasons are incredible as well, as they dive into some other ideas and problems that come as part of this kind of society and issues that our society has a problem with(for example, judging a group, which is interesting because the Sybil system takes a contrary view to that of a movie like Irobot, which is interesting due to the intrinsic purpose of the Sybil system).
Very wonderful video sir, thank you.
I absolutely love gen urobuchi's work I highly recommend his other anime (Madoka Magica, Fate Zero, ect) they are absolutely fantastic works of art
Saya no Uta and Kikougai too
I'll be forever grateful for watching both Madoka and Psycho-Pass without having the slightest hint about them. Amazing rides, which I recommend without a doubt.
No wonder it had those vibes from those aformentioned animes
Don’t forget Kamen Rider Gaim. He’s not only an anime guy
Just don’t start with Episode Zero of Fate Zero. XD Bro, I could not watch any Fate series after that experience. It was a boring start for me, but my husband made me watch Heaven’s Feel as a new start off, and made me want to watch the other Fates.

Making this time stamp for when I come back after I watch psycho pass. I always wanted to watch it and this is the push I needed. I’ll start today ! See you in a while Max, keep up the great and amazing content, but feel free to breath and relax when you need to. Hope 2023 has been good for you so far and continues to be a good !
Although not on the same level as Griffith or Johan Liebert, Makishima Shougo is one of the greatest because he is very sympathetic.
He's very underdeveloped tho
I'd love for you to keep analysing Psycho-Pass. It's one of my favourite anime of all time. The themes, philosophies, politics, psychology of the characters and everything in it gives ample material to think about and dissect.
Excellent video, Max. 👍👍
I just discovered your channel from the Planescape video and your latest video is an analysis on my favorite anime. I love the philosophy and conscious thought and the questions the system puts to you
Would be great to see more in-depth videos about Psycho-Pass S1, as well as S2 which while not as great or ground-breaking as S1 it's still a very interesting and thought-provoking watch with some interesting ideas of its own.
This is why I love your channel. I'm not really big on anime, but the way you pitch this show makes it something I definitely have to check out. I would have never given this more than a passing glance otherwise.
Season 1 is the most thought out and best executed season. The show should have just ended there. Everything after falls apart since it a different writing team and their lack of ability is extremely apparent.
Psycho-Pass is easily one of my favorites. For the reasons stated. Even unexplained, those reasons lived somewhere deep.
Yes, you should totally make a video about "Do android dream of electric sheep?" and other Philip K Dick books. His books were one of the main source of inspiration to The Matrix trilogy, and other sci-fi stories you have already talked about.
And I recommend to start by reading "How to build a universe that doesn't fall apart two days later": in this brief text he explained what he wrote about and what wanted to achieve with his works.
I recently found your channel and have immediately fallen in love with all of your videos, thank you for all of them. I'd love to see you do a video on Ergo Proxy!
Psycho-Pass! I started watching this a few years ago. Watched the first 3 episodes, then drifted away from it because I had so many other shows on the go at that time, and not much free time anyway! I fully intended to carry on with it at some point but I forgot about it! Such is life. I'll start watching it all again now from the beginning thanks to this video!
In the end, Shogo Makashima was right.
I tend to find the best stories are the ones where the villians are right and even though they lose to the hero, they still win.
Psycho-Pass is one my absolute favorites. I would love to see more vids covering topics from it.
One thing I'd like to point out: Sybil arguably doesn't need to be removed, but, rather, changed. Akane recognises the use of Sybil while also being aware of its flaws, but while the flaws can be dealt with, the benefits might be irreplaceable. After all, Sybil was the only solution that worked to make Japan the only peaceful country in the world. Then, Sybil might just have to be made more human through the development of empathy. In this regard, I think Akane is the key piece, for we've already seen that Sybil has changed a few times simply because Akane argued that it would be better for it if it did. So far, Sybil cannot dispute Akane's logic, which might make Akane the one with the most sway over how society is managed. And because Akane is highly humanistic, Sybil could potentially become so as well and a true utopia might be achieved.
Well written!
I think a true utopia can't really exist. But accepting that and still trying to do and get the best for a high number of people and more fairly distributed is what we should strive for.
i would enjoy a deep dive into the works that add to the world of psycho-pass. keep up the good work
I would absolutely love to hear more about psycho-pass from you! Your video was very good even though I am personally more inclined towards the Sibyl System than you seem to be.
Psycho-Pass was the (2nd) most profound anime I've ever watched, either tied or very close to Ghost in the Shell. I'd love to see you dive more on both of these.
just binge watched all of season 1 because i saw you did a video on it and i hadnt seen it yet. I really liked and enjoyed this anime as it asked many questions and encouraged me to think
Woah. I watched the first season when it came out. I forgot about it and am now realizing there multiple seasons, spin offs, and movies. Thanks for the Saturday night plans, max. ✌
I would love to know more about psychopass! Please do more
Oh my god Psycho-Pass is one of my favorite anime. Please, please cover more.
I think that you should’ve mentioned the reason for Roichi creating art and that he actually liked the Sibyl System, when it was introduced
So glad you're finally coveting this anime I knew you'd find intriguing and a masterpiece I'm my opinion
Yes please do more analysis on the themes it presents!
Great video! It would be awesome to see more Psycho Pass videos.
I would love for you to talk about the books mentioned in the anime. They are on my to-read-list but I guess a good video like this one(that made me watch psyco pass) would probably motivate me to read those books
Excellent video man, we need more from psycho pass🔥🔥🔥
Certainly one of my favourite shows of all time. Would love to watch more videos about it
One of the many aspects of human civilization I don't come across often, is the principle of collective understanding. In cases like Psycho Pass, the line is drawn at an impossibility, or single point of reference. One person bearing the truth, one mind being enlightened. Yet, in reality we see quite the opposite, and ironically so. The reach of these messages, the sheer existence of their stories, is what prevents the possibility in the first place.
It's as the Yin and Yang suggest, with order there shall come chaos, and vice-versa. There is no doubt in my mind at least, that this will always be true. With any form of discussion, whether spoken or silenced, there is change, and by extension perception. With perception comes possibility, and possibility is the first form of uncertainty.
Although uncertainty may be seen as synonymous with chaos, it is this misunderstanding which prevents its true expression. Uncertainty in my eyes is the indifference which provides order and chaos. The medium with which choices sublimate and take form. If it were any farther abstracted, then uncertainty would simply not exist.
Before the birth of the universe, there is the idea of all things mixing in the ether of nothingness. It is this nothingness, this supposed ether, which is uncertainty itself.
Choices as they come about, are the birth of uncertainty. The gift, the sun, and the light and dark within all of creation. In the aftermath of uncertainty lies three pathways. It is only through the traversal of uncertainty, that one can escape a world of chaos or order. A society must naturally traverse uncertainty. A singular place of life and death, a shared existence, permeates a collective understanding. The uncertainty which has brought the order of humanity, prevents the expression of its destruction by nature.
It may sound naive, yet there is no greater fear than a humanity hushed, by a hand not its own.
Awesome video, Max. You've got such a good eye for media!
I find it interesting that you would release this video at roughly the same time as DAVOS 2023 spoke on the risks of mind reading tech.
I would love to hear more about the philosophy you picked up on in the anime and how it relates to the themes as presented. I think it is something we all need right now.
Have you played Noita at all? It’s a very difficult roguelike who’s lore is a mix of finnish mythology and alchemy/hermeticism, although the story is told in a very souls-esque fashion.
I'd love you to do more vids on psychopass and it's literary references.
I'd also like to point out on your yin yang comparison between makishima and Kogami, while ko does have a predominately black design with white in it, Makishima does not always have black in his design. I think they are trying to show that he is an imperfect pair to Kogami.
Reminder that Psycho Pass is a decade old now
And that it is still very relevant today
I love psychopass season 1 for the same reasons. It presents us with a real philosophical dilemma and a "dystopian" system that you can understand people getting behind. The Sybil system has all but eliminated crime and it places people in jobs they're suited for, etc. It's only when you start looking closer that you see the problems. And the villain has a good point: he's fighting for freedom but even if you agree with him in theory you know he'd do more harm than good.
I would love a video of you delving into those sources
I haven’t watched the video yet, but having read Brave New World, there is an amazing anime that is also worthy of being the BNW of anime if not more so. Shinsekai Yori or From The New World is a fantastic exploration of a future society, but I think it does an even better job of showing a “new world.” It similarly has its own facade of perfection that is betrayed by the cruel secrets used to prop up the order of this new world. I love Psycho-Pass dearly, but I think From The New World is a masterpiece and grossly unknown. I wouldn’t say it’s underrated because most people I’ve seen rate it very highly, there just aren’t nearly enough people that know about it. The first few episodes imply a more innocent show so I think many overlooked it but it is simply getting you familiar with the world so you can understand what’s happening when the cracks in this society reveal themselves. I haven’t watched again recently, but I’ve long considered it the best anime story I’ve ever experienced from beginning to end. I cannot recommend it enough, especially to those interested in these kinds of concepts.
strongly encourage for more psycho-pass videos.
Oddly I had the same thought that Psycho-Pass seemed eerily of our time when I was watching it about a year ago. What blows me away from the creative side of it rather than simply the philosophical is how they were able to weave together so many different sources of argument into a cohesive and compelling narrative, including making the more intimate and personal elements relevant to the larger ideas.
It was made over a decade ago too, which in a way makes it not exactly prophetic, but was certainly very aware of emerging issues in society. It's simply brilliant.
On the topic of "Brave New World." I would love to see a video on the updated remake version of the series (2020 TV Show version), in which unfortunately got cancelled even though it's also an excellent recent sci-fi series.
Please do a DEEPER Dive! And the other season/progression of the story and ultimlity where it ends. Also the movie talks about early adaption of the sybil system in another country. As that country struggles to use it and the citizians reaction to the stytem. Then just the further progress of the mc's. Such a huge fan of this anime. Need to go back and rewatch again. TY for this piece of art! Maybe give Trigun a watch if you haven't already, cheers!
Really nice analysis video keep up the good work.
Finally!! On point analysis.
You should do Ergo Proxy as well.
Loved this video! Please do more Psycho-Pass!
Only season 1 is worth watching… but boy howdy is that first season a wild ride.
For a philosophy junky like me, it was absolute brain candy!
I almost never rewatch the second season and ive watched this series thrice now. i remember it leaving a really negative taste in my mouth. However, there is one bit of philosophy that i kinda want Max to comment on in that season. If you know the ending, you know what i mean lol.
season 3 was ok, but I agree on season 2, that one sucked monkey balls.
How many episodes is the first season? I struggle to watch any form of media at all, but if it explores themes in a way I haven't heard about before, I'm definitely down to watch it.
Honestly season 2 wasn't too bad, I've yet to track down season 3
@@DeusPsycho 22 episodes, but minus intro/outro they are like 20 minutes long each
I def recommend you look into the metaphysics of Bankai, from bleach, tito kubo is a wizard for sure. Great vid
Hey Max. Great video for a great anime. I'd love to see more videos delving into the various components of Psycho Pass.
While Psycho Pass does provide a fascinating vision of a nanny-state dystopian future, just like with Thanos' prescription of "wiping out half the population to save the other half," the path that the Japanese government took to ultimately form the Sybil System missed the mark on the root causes of their society's shortcomings. Ironically, the way Japan solved its food crisis (with hyper-oats) was a more forward-thinking solution than the Thanos snap. For other issues (such as the way that it dealt with unemployment), it didn't dig deep enough because employment itself (and the power structure that benefits most from this form of exploitation) is sacrosanct in the world of Psycho Pass.
I know that this video was not meant to go into that level of detail, but that's just one aspect that was either not considered or not implemented in either season of Psycho Pass or the movie. In any case, I look forward to more Psycho Pass analysis from you, should it come to be.
Dear Max,
This anime is one of my absolute favorite works of art and my favorite anime. I think you did a wonderful video about it and WOULD like to hear more about the works referenced by Ko, Makashima and others. I also wanted to point out about the cymatic scans, a theory I have on why no one questions it and how it functions. First I think by this time the tech is already commonly understood so the people have no reason to talk about it. Second, my theory about how cymatic scans work is that the dominator is equipped with advanced sensor that collect biometric data such as heart rate, temp, and brain wave activity to give Sybil clear and easy to analyze information similar to that collected by polygraph lie detectors. Naturally this would include micro facial expression mapping use the F.A.C.S. system developed by Eckman and used by the CIA today. This would explain why it cannot judge psychopaths, because they would not show micro expressions or biometric changes do to their actions, since the necessary emotion stimulus to cause those changes wouldn't be present. I'm curious to know what you think about this theory and I hope you are able and willing to respond.
Your faithful and satisfied viewer,
Oesius
(P.S. please forgive me if my letter format is a bit sloppy. I don't often write letters.)
By my understanding, everyone in that universe has been implanted with biometric readers since birth, which is why everything they enjoy in their own lifestyle is tuned to their daily preferences (literally change the look of the room by full holographic projection in one scene, including clothing, if I recall correctly) to keep their emotions and efficacy (ie. work skill) in tip top shape and within acceptable parameters. The ultimate dystopian future.
Great analysis man. I’m looking for someone else to talk in-depth about it so hopefully you respond
Would love to see you do a video on Ergo Proxy and/or Serial Experiments Lain, those are two of my favorite profound animes and they are incredible.
Did one on Serial Experiments Lain: czcams.com/video/Zc6MsSmJJzU/video.html
One on Ergo Proxy will come inevitably. :)
We definitely 😁 want more Psycho Pass discussions
One of my favorite anime, easily. Would love to see more!
Please explore this series more! It’s one of my absolute favorites. Wondering what your takes on season 2 and 3 are? Season 1 is a masterpiece.
One of the best anime series ever created, please do more video about it!
I'd like to see more videos on psycho pass.
I highly recommend some of other gen Urobuchi's other work mainly Madoka Magica, and Fate Zero they are absolutely stellar works of art
The only constant in my entire life has been my mental agony which in turn causes terrible physical pain and even though there are some days where all I want to do is just give up instead of continuing to fight a never ending battle with mental illness I none the less persevere. Furthermore I use that pain to fuel my undying drive to keep pushing forward no matter how intolerable life becomes and yet the greatest gift such adversity has bestowed upon me has been without a shadow of a doubt perspective. Not only perspective in my own life but perspective on humanity as a whole which in many ways translates into having a truly unvarnished and unbiased perspective of the problems facing the west in the modern times. I see that the root of all such problems come from people becoming so hopelessly detached from the ultimate reality of this world which is that of struggle and suffering and instead view their soft, insolated and privileged lives as merely the natural state of being when it is anything but and as such only continue to take modern society for granted by constantly being dissatisfied when they have more than anyone in the history of humanity. Even worse they become more and more self obsessed, vain and utterly delusional thinking that the rest of the world owes them something or should bend over backwards to accommodate them. However in short it can be summed up simply as people devolving into a state of permanent childhood where they wish to be taken care of and protected from all the dangers of the world even at the cost of their liberties and the liberties of others and if you have a problem with it then you're an enemy unworthy of either respect or empathy.
Would love that analysis video ❤
LOVE this vid! love that ur watching more and more anime
Less go, also please do a video on reverend insanity
You miss out on quoting the final episode where Akane Tsunamori harmonizes these paradoxes in a conversation with Kogami - SPOILERS AHEAD OF THE END. I RECOMMEND YOU WATCH THE SHOW FIRST.
Akane-- "The law doesn't protect people, people protect the law. Humans have always fought against evil, and sought out a righteous way of living as a group. Those Feelings, the accumulation of society's feelings are the law. They aren't just provisions or arbitrary rules, they are the fragile and irreplaceable ideals we all carry in the deepest recesses of our hearts.
Compared to the power of anger and hatred. There's something that easily can be broken down:
People have prayed for a better world since the dawn of time, hoped for better future, sacrificed their own freedoms for its sake...
in order for those prayers to hold meaning, we have to protect the law, that promise of a better world, to the very end.
We can't just give up on it because it's flawed."
Kogami - "If there ever comes a time when people feels the way you do. The Sibyl System will disappear, there won't be any latent criminals, nor enforcers. Because there won't be any NEED for them...But until then..."
I will watch all of any video you upload regardless of the subject. Your analyses are profoundly thought provoking.
Of course we want more of psychopass. More please!!!
Season 1 is one of my favorite animes of all time, btw i would love to see u make a video on the anime Ergo proxy
I thank you for bring attention to psychopass. The question of how to bring about balance is unanswered.
This was my second anime i ever watched and convinced me to watch more and more, easily my 3rd favourite anime
If you could do that followup video for this it would be incredible.
More videos on Psycho Pass would be great.
I'd be down for some more Psycho Pass content.
hey , I wasn't sure how to send a message on here, but wanted to let you know I'm also autistic and I love your content to the point where your talks on alchemy in videogames inspired me to write a short album about it. i just wanted to thank you for putting out content that's appealing to people like me. il link in comments for anyone interested.
I absolutely loved psychopass. Love the characters
Bro, you convince me to watch the anime, thank you!
This show is a good alternative to GitS, very good sci-fi.
I bought S1 & S2 + the 1st movie on DVD, but sadly there doesn't seem to be more releases in the UK, even though there is more available here in Germany.
Loved it, please make more
Ive been waiting for for this
please make a video on the books and philosophers of psychopass
There are the entertaining ones, and then there are introspective titles like this that makes you think.
That's why ever since I started watching animes of a much more heavier tone like Trinity Blood (sure, slightly cringe, but still a class in and of itself), I've been so much more critical of animes ever since, and why I look out for others like it. The mid 2000s were the best so far, and nothing much has come up to beat that.
I think this might be your best video yet? I need to think about it hahaha XD. I for one would like you to delve deeper into this vides's topics please. Keep up the good work with what ever you do next Max and stay yellow.
Please more videos on Psycho Pass!
Ok I'll have to come back to this video after watching the show, thanks 👍.
Excellent episode 👏
Yes! Dive deep into 1984 and Do Robot Dream of Electric Sheep.
Also, is that Mass Effect Soundtrack in the background?
Видео очень классное! Буду рада, если сделаете еще🤩
Glad to see you're watching more anime. I know people like to stereotype anime as horny moe mecha cat girl isekai stuff (To be fair, there's plenty of that to go around), but there are some real gems. So many unique and thought-provoking stories that really stick with you, and Psycho-Pass is one of those.
You mentioned there would be spoilers. I immediately stopped watching this vid and started watching the anime...I'm 5 episodes in and I love it so far. I'll be back to finish this vid after I finish the series.
It gets better and better all the way until the end. Episode 20 will tear your mind to pieces.
I'd like to hear your take on THX 1138. In my opinion it is the most accurate dystopia to real life. Captures the uncomfortable sterility of a Brave New World.
Max, you should watch the rest of the series!
Excellent analysis. For a game that discusses similar ideas, I would recommend looking at the Shin Megami Tensei series (particularly 4) and its spinoff of a spinoff, Catherine. The main series tackles a lot of similar themes about balancing order and chaos, and Catherine uses the concept to look at an isolated societal issue.
I will definitely be looking more into Shin Megami Tensei soon.
I for one would be interested in a video discussing "1984".
Going deep into the sources would be quite interesting. Would also like to hear your thoughts about season 2. It's only a half season, but goes much harder.
Season 2 is bad tho
@@anomitas I completely disagree. It was more compressed, sure, but also a lot better at showing how terrifying such a system is, when it's a solution becoming much worse than the problem it's trying to solve.
What's really scary is that much of the foundation for and global conditions for the creation of something like the Sybil system exists in real life. There is now technology that can be used, and is being used in China, to monitor people's brain function to determine if they are focusing on the task at hand. It has been stated by people at the world economic forum that we need the ability to implement a way to monitor people's health "under the skin". The advancement of wireless technology is making it easier and easier to implement the surveillance state. We now live in a society where your movements can be tracked 100% of the time, and there are cameras everywhere that can identify you via facial recognition software. Human freedom is on the wane, and the global economy is in the process of collapsing. Just recently the U.S had a bank collapse (SVB or Silicon Valley Bank) and civil unrest is increasing almost daily. Just like in 1984, the government is the biggest dispenser of disinformation and misinformation, and there are people who just believe whatever they are told by the "authorities" because they are essentially living an unconscious and unobservant life. The traditional works of literature like _1984_ are now coming under attack as "extremist propaganda" in certain places. In these ways and others, the dystopian fiction that we have been watching have already come true or on the verge of it.
It should be also noted that Psycho-Pass really seems to like a bit of word play. The title itself could easily be pronounced as Psychopath, and Sybil could be pronounced as Civil (which I just noticed while watching this video). It's very fitting because Sybil only has the pretense of creating a civil society and is in and of itself made of psychopaths. I wonder what other treats are hidden in there?
There are extensions to the story as well. There's a Psycho-Pass movie which aired in theaters and also a visual novel available on Steam and maybe other platforms which is called Mandatory Happiness. I don't recall too many details about the movie, but it was about an attempt to export the Sybil system to another country (Psycho-Pass Japan seems more representative of real-life China in many ways). I haven't played all the way through the visual novel, but it appears to be about a rogue a.i whose goal is to make all of mankind happy, by any means necessary.
For a real-life example of someone like Makishima Shogo, look up the Oklahoma city bombing that happened back in the 90's, in which a federal government building was destroyed. I know someone who read the manifesto of one of the perpetrators, and it seems they were attempting to make a statement of how the government was using technology to enslave people. Noble and correct statement, bad methods.
Please make more psycho pass deep dives
Max need to watch that one episode from Duckman. Where Loretta the Super-Computer made changes in Duckman’s society.
Very similar to Deus Ex once you think about it.
