Tactics, is still and will always be, my favorite rpg game. With all the advancements in tech, still nothing can beat how much of an experience tactics is, no matter how you play because of how good the characters and the story is. WOTL only made me love Tactics more. Then theres the gameplay, it makes you want to play the game multiple times just to get a different experience. Then theres the modding community, Tactics and WOTL, have some crazy mods, theres so much fun to be had that is missing in most games today. Vinns Lair just got a whole list of games taken down, never let beautiful works of art die because of companies.

The playing Raiden that is controlling an avatar that looks like Snake? That's just Ghost Babel. At the end you're called "Jack". The pre-game mission in MGS2 is VR, but the main game is reality. Raiden could just be having some post-VR mental stress. Like, that much VR is gonna mess anyone up. Just imagine holding the virtual boy to your head for like 5 hours.

I agree with everything you said. One thing I believe is a highlight for me is when you get to the apartment building world and each apartment tells you a lot about each of the residents and their relationships and how life was in the building. That was a very sweet touch often overlooked. To me, thats the best level of the game

The PC port especially was borderline unplayable at launch, especially if you were on a Pentium 4 (which met the requirements and I was running at the time) instead of a dual core CPU. It would cause the game to hard lock and sometimes take your system out during the cutscene after the intro hospital part! If it wasn't for some heroic Russian fan modder it wouldn't have been playable at all for me!

So this extracting knowledge from the unconscious is something I do a lot I feel. Whenever I have a difficult problem that I can't answer I usually send it to my unconscious mind to work on then I will either get the answer just popped into my head out of no where fully solved or when I go back to the problem it has progressed closer to completion it is extremely useful and takes away a lot of stress as I don't have to dwell on problems as I know I'm working on it even if I am not dwelling on it

Spoilers: To me my favorite part about Steins Gate was how the second season ties in with the end of the first. For a long time the end of the first season left a bitter taste in my mouth since it was a little too Deus Ex Machina for my tastes. Kurisu's sacrifice felt cheapened. Then the second season was enjoyable but I wasn't sure what the resolution would be. When it all got tied in to how the first season ended I was honestly very impressed.

It certainly is the most fascinating final fantasy to date.

The class struggle is also a highlight of this game at times. The Corpse Brigade storyline is one of my favorite, because it really made you wonder if you were fighting for the correct side.

I just always assumed Arsenal was still partially submerged with the RAYs walking on the deck still covered in a few feet of water. After the fight, Olga, Fortune, Snake, etc. arrive on the scene, Raiden gets choked out and we're all on top of Arsenal. I doubt Raiden was out for a long time while everyone relocated. You can also see some of the octagonal paneling on the deck, similar to what lights up under your feet when you move on the lit platform during the fight. Maybe it's like a helipad or an elevator for RAYs that allow the Arsenal to remain submerged, but deploy units from within it. The lights making it easy to see in the dark.

FFT is the best final fantasy game - and ironically a spin off.

Codec differences just a way to confirm whether the player has experience of the game mechanics or not....not every little detail and message should be investigated and taken literally...if you have a desired conclusion and work backwards like a conspiracy theorist you will alway come to odd conclusions like this Truth is there's many ambiguities in the game just like real life where many things are not by design...they just take place and dialogue is added to make some kind base coherence to move the main narrative forward.. As the game basically says, it was all real but pre-organised to test Raiden's mettle. Snake being there was the unforeseen...and that's it!! The rest acts as a prophecy like any good sci-fi pointing at a future that may not make sense but may come to be... Think you'd benefit from reading some classical and pre-modern literature as well as early/mid 20th century sci-fi....all are packed with ambiguities as that's part of the reality we live in... The game makers providing "answers" is partially a bit of fun and many of them contradict eachother as you know...I would prob do the same to lead the avid fanbase on (as most of us also realise this, but its fun to investigate nonetheless as your entertaining channel does). Long story short, enjoy it for what it is ie the themes it touches on and the ambiguities it points too. As a scholar on post-WW2 Japanese literature which is mostly centres around beauty in ambiguity + general disillusionment with soceity/cukture as many of the old ways and assumptions unravelled with imposed & oartially welcomed Westernisation I would highlight this is a very typical Japanese way of writing a story albeit packed with Sci-Fi themes. Just enjoy the ride...there isn't some monumental truth to be found here. Just a good story with interesting ideas.

I had this game when I was a kid. I didn't play it for a while, and then I did, and then I met this other kid who knew everything about it. He eventually loaned me the official strategy guide and that fuckin' thing was the size of a phonebook. Uhhh...that's a...well see, there used to be a book (paper with words on it bound in more durable media like cardboard or leather) and this particular book (see above) used to have everyone's name and number in the city in it, and then they'd give everyone one for free. Why? Yes. But the internet didn't used to exist in the bad old times. If you wanted to show a stranger your dick, you had to antiintuitively put on some pants so you could go somewhere and do it in person. Yeah, I know; barbaric. The reason the game looked bad even by ps1 standards is because there was so much on that one disc. It was like a thousand hours of gameplay. There was a secret 100 level procedurally generated dungeon if I remember correctly, at the bottom of which was a secret character, and there was basically nowhere that even alluded to it in the game; I don't know why.

I remember playing this game for the 1st time as 10 yr old kid on cuba, on a ps1. English wasn't my motherlanguage so I kinda understood the story. Years after I restarted this game on psp and some of the story was more understandable. And even if I don't know each deep meaning etc I was so impressed of the deep story here. To me this game is my favorite😃
