    I am currently stitching “Today I Choose Joy”! Imagine my surprise when I discovered in this episode that you are the Julie who designed it!! How fun! It is such a beautiful chart! It calls for Weeks Dye Works Iris and Kudzu, as well as DMC Dark Grape (3835). I am using DMC Antique Violet Medium (3041), Pine Green Medium (3363), and the called for DMC Dark Grape.
    I was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer in January 2022. I couldn’t buy your chart fast enough after I saw it shown on a FlossTube two months later. It depicts the attitude that I am choosing to have despite my terminal diagnosis - making the most of each day that I have and choosing joy! Thank you, Julie, for your beautiful design! I’m enjoying your FlossTube very much!

    I can’t count the number of times that my jaw hit the floor during this video. First of all Jane your stitching is gorgeous, and I think it might break my heart to see all of the beautiful things in your drawer of no return. I hope with Julie’s gentle nudging, that some of those who make it out of the drawer and will be displayed proudly. And Julie, speechless. Just speechless.

    I too loved the off script. You ladies together are so funny and it’s so apparent the strong bond you have. You should do a bonus episode showing works from Janes drawer. Maybe she will be inspired to get them fully finished and on display! Of all the floss tube I watch, you two are my absolute favorite. Keep the videos coming!

    You two are so much fun. Unedited!! I do like seeing all the Shepherd’s Bush… so win! And, Julie… your projects are on my radar as well. Several years ago, a few guild ladies in my local EAC Chapter each bought a copy of your pattern for your Hardanger Bag. We did it together as a workshop. So, after I discovered your website, I now feel like I have “met the designer”.

    Love watching you girls, Julie and Jane! Couldn't find a new show tonight so I can still watch you cause I'm behind or late to the game girl. Don't know about those spooky stitchings but what a great Grandmother you are to do that. Your Blackbird stitching is very nice . I like you choice of Cayenne color. I really like your love of fabric Jane, as an "Old" cross stitcher we collected patterns and now they have Beautiful hand dyed fabrics who can resist? Enjoyed much, of course. Love the challenge for Julie, hope she will give the 40 ct a try!

    You guys are so funny - I love it! Jane you must admit darning is much easier than hardanger picots! LOL. Also, to keep track of your buttons, staple the button pack to the back page of the chart. This is how I use to do it in my store. Julie- if you’d like to try out different silk threads, I can gladly put together a sample package for you to try out the different types. Just send me a message with an email so I can get info to mail. Trebizond silk was used quite a lot by Thea Dueck of The Victoria Sampler for hardanger klostern blocks. It doesn’t sit as easily as PC5, but it looks amazing. Shepherds Bush kits I believe use Soie d’Alger but there are also several makers of over dyed silks. Great job with the videos guys!

      @runningwithscissorsstitchi5320  Před 2 lety +1
