    Thank you for the video Dada.
    I'm vegan for 3 yrs now and no alcohol, tobacco etc either.
    I do eat onion, garlic and occassionally mushrooms, but i don't have any cravings for any tamsic foods. So much has changed in me after i went vegan, that nowadays no food attracts my senses, i eat only when I'm hungry and just to keep the body healthy. It seems that slowly I'm moving towards one meal a day, since i dont feel hungry. I do my runs and yoga in the mornings but not get hungry until noon. I eat a well balanced cooked vegan lunch and in the evenings before sunset i just eat some fruits. Feel great energy throughout the day/night. Namaskar.

      Your diet structure is similar to mine, though I am certaintly not a vegan. Coffee in morning, paneer butter masala with jeera rice at noon, and mango and coconut water around 6 PM. It's strange, if I don't do yoga or exercise, my mind gets convinced that it needs to eat more food!
      Great sleep and wonderful energy right now. I'm trying to ween off the coffee drug, but it fits into my routine at the moment. And if I don't drink coffee, the mind believes that it needs to eat breakfast!

    After 39 days of fasting..only water and another consecutive 20 days of vegetables, fruits no meat or fish. neither dairy products I made a garlic soup ( at least 200 grams of garlic ) despite that I was advised that I should avoid garlic and onion by buddhist monks . After two hours my sexual desires were increased dramatically and I had to go to " a massage house " immediately . Years latter happenned the same, with prawns. The first time I was in Seoul and the second in Egypt.
    I remember that during these 60 days of no consumption of animal food my body was shaking and I thought that was insufficient " protein " . I ate at least 36 boiled yolks ( no fat ) and still my body was shaking frequently .
    After a few days I understood that my body was demanding " something " and I could not identify what it was. I went to the supermarket and I asked to my body " what is your need ?" after a few minutes I was buying beef and I bought 200 grams of beef. Once at home I was going to cook the meat but I had an strange feeling and I cutted a small piece of raw meat and I chewed ....instantly my body was totally relaxed. In this precise time I understood that my body was demanding " fat " and then understood why yoguis drink small quantities of milk.

    Hi Dada,
    I'm in a relationship and my partner had a problem with eating too little and having an emotional trauma based on food suppression. I find myself having difficulty because I am empathic to her state of mind and see the unfolding nature of fear and how it takes time to unravel its clutches on the body and mind.
    How can I change my diet while still being respectful of her inclination to indulge frequently, and not participate, without feeling guilty, and instead having compassion and love?

Although I feel very healthy and good energy, I have lost quite some weight even though I eat a very balanced diet and try to increase the daily intake. I have started adding eggs and diary to also help prevent further weight loss and it helps but not regaining lost weight.

I don't know what your weight was or how much you have lost. Are you below average weight now? If not, then I wouldn't be too concerned. Are you eating sufficient carbs? Thanks sir for the video. Very correct. The way you described was exceptional. Just wanted to know your experience about deep mediation. How can you explain the difference between the experience of meditation concentrating on some god (an image or so) with one that concentrates only on breathing (Vipassana)?

    • @MeditationSteps
      @MeditationSteps  Před 4 lety +1

      Namaskar Bhaskar, meditation is based on the principle of "As you think, so you become". So we should chose an object of concentration that will elevate our consciousness. If we only focus on our breathing, this will not elevate and purify our consciousness, but if we concentrate on Supreme Consciousness, which is the subtle most entity, this will certainly expand and elevate our minds.

    • @bhaskardr2
      @bhaskardr2 Před 4 lety

      🙏 thanks a lot sir but still there is one confusion. Actually, Buddhism philosophy says that the supreme consciousness is inside you and you can become enlightened only when you become unknown whereas the Sanatana Dharma philosophy like you mentioned above believes in concentrating on supreme consciousness to get enlightenment (the true peace, joy and bliss). To be more precise, when I started vipassana meditation, I felt differently than when I started concentrating on some Godly image. So, my confusion is which one to follow as in the vipassana, whole day I will be in trancelike state having mild pressure on ajana chakra but meditating on some Godly image, that pressure is only during the time of meditation. So sir, please guide me what I’ve to do or is there something which Im still missing??

    • @MeditationSteps
      @MeditationSteps  Před 4 lety +1

      If you eat a balanced and healthy vegetarian diet, you will get sufficient quantities of protein. Most people consume too much protein and the excess is expelled from the body together with calcium and not enough calcium leads to osteoporosis. To calculate how much protein you require, calculate your body weight in pounds, divide by two and that's how much protein you require in grams.
      Go to www.nutritiondata.com to find out which foods contain protein.

      The eggs are definitely tamasik. The old cooked food may or may not be tamasik, depending on how it was preserved, for sure it loses its vibrancy within 1-2 hours after it has been cooked. The proper food, when cooked with love and cosmic ideation, if taken makes you high for another three days. It is a very powerful means of success in life. Too much of spice in food is not good, if the taste of food is unbalanced it will unbalance the mind also.
