In this tutorial I will be showing you a number of ways to fix Windows 10 startup problems either in the form of Automatic Repair Loop, Your PC did not start correctly, infinite booting or some other similar start-up problems you might be experiencing with Windows 10. This could happen after Windows has installed certain updates that it finds incompatible with the software distribution or after you make certain changes to your system settings or certain applications you have installed on your PC. If you’re able to figure out the event that led to this problem, then you wouldn’t need to try all fixes, you could simply pick the method that is more likely to solve your problem and implement it.
Method 1: Use the suggested restart option
Method 2: Using the start-up repair tool.
Method 3: Use the registry backup command called regback. This command replaces your registry configuration with the last known good configuration you have on your PC, so basically changing your registry configuration to the configuration of your most recent successful bootup.
If all fixes fail, then you can consider running a system restore, for that you will need to make a bootable USB with Windows 10 installation files, I have included that in this video: • Blue Screen of Death (... .

Ah windows, such a lovely time when I want to do a simple quick reset of my PC and it turns into 3 hours of fixes not working forcing me to completely wipe all my data

Since windows 3.1 there's far too many files that are dependant etc enterprise type OS so it's best to wipe and clean install and this time partition the main drive and also back up the system once you have all the programs installed < purchase a USB stick 3.0 to copy backup to and forever be OK or forget all of that and just make a virtual machine all within a vhd file..
Windows seven and up can create and attach vhd drives..

@@LylaD05 use recovery, put in another flash drive with lots of space, instead of loading up a backup file etc, use the file explorer to copy over files, note: in future don't save files to the user, save to another partition other than the main windows partition C drive usually so it's easier to copy files from, in repair mode user files maybe locked and permission's may not be available. I cannot believe it's mmxix and people still saving important files on computers they know may crash and fail.. external storage is cheap now.. I have a microsoft surface a real one not a laptop 😂 there's no obvious way to remove the hddrive so I have to know how to format and reset windows, clean install, I always save created files to my sd card.. Many people are worried about losing files they didn't create but downloaded, It's a silly thing to care about losing and in the first place that type of stuff should be downloaded straight to memory card and not to the C drive..

OH MY GOSH DUDE!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I am FINALLY able to access my laptop again since 2017 of unable to use to it. I really did feel like I lost my laptop and all my files. I was thinking of getting a new laptop but with how expensive they are getting and with less GB space, I really felt I was never going to afford one. Just today I decided to try out a previous method thinking my laptop wouldn’t turn but but it did after connecting the power and realizing it was an infinite boot loop. I really appreciate your clear and straight forward approach to helping us all with this problem, and for most of the protocols all was going well. But toward the end, at around your 5:15 point in the instructions, I didn't receive your list, but received several "Not Enough Space" in a list. "Not enough space" is pretty much what got me into this problem to begin with. I had been operating my computer without cleaning it up and now the Automatic Repair continues to appear regardless of what I do for it. I have obtained another computer in case you have a tutorial or instructions for me on using one computer to reconfigure another computer. I goal is to fix my original computer because it has on it files which I must have, and do not have anywhere, backup copies of those files. Do you have any suggestions, or another video I should watch? Thank you, Michael.

This vid is still super helpful in 2024 on Windows 11. My issue was simply my additional USB connected SSD. Soon as I unplugged it, Windows booted up no problem. If I had to guess probably just not enough space since I'd just downloaded a new game the night before

My pc always crashes when i download windows iso file then one day the pc ran into a big problem, everytime i shutdown the pc the next time i boot it up it says windows didn’t shut down properly and the pc couldn’t save any changes i made to it anymore. You're life saviour, because i was in a similar predicament. But what makes my situation more challenging is that my laptop has a black screen that is only partially visible at the edge or top of the monitor. To view the content on desktop screen, I always use an extra monitor to extend the display. I immediately recognized the problem as being on your video after making up the letters at the edge of my laptop screen. (I wasn't able to use external monitor during this process)
In order to navigate, I use the knowledge I have using the keyboard to navigate by hitting the "tab key" on the key board.
I use the 2nd suggestion option from your video, and guess it correctly on the keyboard, and the issue is now resolved.
I wish the comment section has the image option to upload images, to show you my laptop is now working.

a friend at work asked me to do something simple and it ended up in 2 days of trying to fix the boot record. the instructions in this video is the only thing that worked.
i cant tell you how relieved i am to finally have it fixed so i can get on with what i was suppose to do.
I'm so confused I've changed my email password since I didn't remember it and it says it the wrong password every time I try to reset or do anything that requires me to put my password, how on earth am I supposed to do this I can't just buy a new one
