    This smooth amala is calling my name 😋BTW, so people use hand mixer to make amala???
    One trick that has always worked for me in making lump free amala is to not pour the yam flour when the water is at the rolling boil state. I let it reach that state, then turn down the heat so that the water bubbles settles. I mix the yam flour in at this stage, increase the heat and then boil further. It always works!

      Wow! Another tip learned! Thank you for sharing Ibk. I can already imagine how that works, good thinking! I'll be trying this method when next I make amala.
      And yes, I did see someone make amala with hand mixer on Instagram. It's one of the reasons I decided to make this video. Thank you very much dear🤗

    Please is this also how to make amala lafun(the white one)?

    • @remremdfoodie
      @remremdfoodie  Před rokem +2

      No. For lafun, you let the water boil then turn off the heat

    • @remremdfoodie
      @remremdfoodie  Před rokem +1

      You add the cassava flour after you've turned off the heat. Then mix until smooth. No need to put back on heat like amala

      Trust me, if it was more than this, I'll put the pot in between my legs. This quantity is small for that 😂
