Borana had two sons Macha and Tulema. Tulema is Showa Oromos.
Macha is Wollega, Illu-Babor, Jimma, Guji, Borana Gutu, Orma Oromos.
Borana Gutu tribe are a subtribe of Borana Clan just like many other tribes.
The names of tribes overlap because they are the names of ancestors. Even among Barentu Clan in the Wallo tribe, there is a Borana subtribe. Which is why there is a woreda called Borana in South Wollo, Amhara Region.
within Wallo tribe there is also the Rayya subtribe.
There is another Barentu Clan Rayya tribe in Sikko-Arsi in Bale.
and another Rayya under Borana Clan.
There is Karrayu tribe under Barentu Clan, and a Karrayu tribe can also be found under Borana Clan.
Many names are repeated for tribes but the Borana Gutu in Borana Region/Kenya are not the oldest Oromos this is a common misconception among those who mistaken their name for our ancient ancestor Borana who is the father of Macca and Tulema.
Infact Tulema Showa Oromos are older as a direct descendant of Borana.
While Borana Gutu Oromos are under the various branch of subtribes under Macca.

We Oromos have a very long tradition of keeping lineage aka knowing our extended families and ancestors. This means an average Oromo knows each relatives extension for example the extension of our cousins, our aunties, our uncles, our grandparents etc.
PLUS Oromos are an ethnic group that divides into 2 major subethnics called Borana and Barentu which is FURTHER divided into tribes.
Oromo tribes are FURTHER divided into subtribes.
Oromo subtribes are FURTHER divided into clans.
Oromo clans are FURTHER divided into subclans.
Oromo subclans are FURTHER divided into kinships and so on and so forth.
So the likelihood of "accidentally" marrying your family is technically impossible!!! From what I've stated above regarding how our ethnic group is divided. Oromo generally back home prefer to marry into their tribes (which is the 3rd category of ethnic hierarchy for example: Hararghe, Wallaga, Jimma, Arsi etc).
But our sense of unity under Oromumma (Oromo identity) means we generally ain't fussy as long as our partner is Oromo to conserve our collective culture.
