You know what's interesting. I have eyes like Ethiopian ppl and get mistaken for Ethiopian often. The thing is, it's because of the dark circles around their eyes. So once ppl find out I'm not Ethiopian, all of a sudden, i just look tired and get sleep advice. I say all that to say, do Ethiopian ppl see thier look as tired and exhausted? It's very insulting to me to be seen as tired eyes and you guys are seen as stunning with no mention of the same tired and exhausted looking eyes. I'm American and anything that ppl assume. I used to go to an Orthodox church with Ethiopian people. They were kind and beautiful. Very quiet, but I made sure to always talk to them, and they began to open up. They read to me a little bit out of their liturgy book, in Amharic, and there were phrases that sounded exactly like Greek. Like Kyrie Eleison, which any liturgical church person from Catholicism, Lutheranism, and Anglicanism should recognize, as "Lord have mercy". And they had other Greek-sounding phrases. They're humble people, and MAN, is their food good.

I've had good experiences with Ethiopians here in the US, they tend to be very polite, considerate, respectful, well spoken, and educated. I enjoy Ethiopian restaurants because they never have pork, shellfish, or things mentioned in Leviticus.
