  • Ethiopia, the second country after Armenia to accept Christianity as a state religion, is home to the world's oldest Bible. Written in the ancient language of Ge'ez, the Ethiopian Bible predates the King James Version by nearly 800 years and contains over 100 books. Christianity arrived in Ethiopia in the fourth century A.D. through the efforts of missionary Frumentius, who converted King Ezana of the Aksum Empire.

Well i dont see it that way. But my opinion lol through Christianity wars have been fought and empirors built and broken i see the bible as a long strategy to unipolize the world because in the name of God men lost lives and in name of nations and kings people killed i just dont see this as a coincidence. Everyone believed differently but all we had in common was there was a living God. If you study kemet perhaps you might get some insight of how the devil became a black man and jesus white man anyways just an opinion i am still learning

1600 years ago is the time when king Ezana “proclaimed” making Christianity the nation’s official religion. But, 1600 yrs. ago wasn’t the time of the arrival of Christianity to Ethiopia because for 4 centuries prior to the king’s proclamation, Christianity was already being exercised and taught through out the nation.

Hiruth Seyoum, yes and the Christianity of the 4th century to which you are referring was true Christianity and why it was not referred to as a state religion because it was introduced the way Jesus instructed his disciples. See Mathew 28. While the one to which this man is referring is the false Christianity that exists today, hence a missionary. Have a look at my comment.

My mother and father in law both Armenian 🇦🇲 May they both R.I.P; they always spoke so highly and shared a love for the Ethiopian people and culture, I am Cape Verdean 🇨🇻 born in the USA. One thing that helped in bonding my absolute love for my in laws who were the best most loving giving people ever, was the fact that they spoke so highly of and had such a great level of respect and love for the Ethiopian people and culture. I believe it was first because of Ethiopias 🇪🇹 acceptance of Christianity after the 🇦🇲 Armenians as well as they felt that Ethiopians strongly value “family”much like Armenians 🇦🇲 … who truly believe putting family first!
I’m not going to lie, there were times when I really wished I was Ethiopian or Armenian 😂😂😂 Don’t get me wrong I love my beautiful people and am super proud to be Cape Verdean 🇨🇻 I’ve been married to an Armenian man for 17 years with 2 beautiful children! Yemeni tribes migrated to the Horn of Africa in search of fertile lands about 4,000 years ago, and mixed with Negroes. You can notice a few things:
      1) The Abyssinians resemble Arabs in appearance, in terms of a long nose, an oval skull, long hair, and a thick beard, which you do not find in an unmixed African, except that their color is slightly darker, and their lips are negroid.
      2) They speak a South Arabic language that no unmixed African speaks, only Arabs and Ethiopians speak it
      3) They belong to religions that originated in the Arabian Peninsula, such as Judaism and Christianity before the Europeans. These beliefs have a strong heritage among the Arab tribes and the figures of these religions, such as Abraham, Ishmael, Sheba, Hud, and Salih, are the ancestors of the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula, the Levant, and Iraq.

A nation or even group of people become great when they know themselves- their roots/ their beginnings their history. The moment they try to imitate someone else’s values and try to become something they are not, they fall and crumble because they loose their footing. So, study the history your ancestors have left behind. Remember they have gone through much trouble to leave the data’s recorded for you. It’s your inheritance. Therefore, your inheritance gives you a chance to see your past and present clearly. It also allows you to plan your future in a better/ sober way without going astray.

Ethiopia may have been introduced to European Christianity officially adopting it as its State religion in the 4th century; however, the Good News regarding YAHU'SHA was known sooner than the 4th century in Ethiopia; it was within the 1st-2nd A.D. There is a passage of Scripture in the Book of Acts where the Apostle Phillip is speaking to the Ethiopian Eunuch who served Candace Queen of the Ethiopians:
    Acts 8:26
“And the angel of the Lord spake unto Philip, saying, Arise, and go toward the south unto the way that goeth down from Jerusalem unto Gaza, which is desert. 27 And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candace queen of the Ethiopians, who had the charge of all her treasure, and had come to Jerusalem for to worship,... 35. Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached unto him Jesus.”

First and foremost, the Eritreans are the #1 beautiful people in Africa according to proven studies! Secondly, you are totally wrong about Christianity in Africa! It was Eritrea with the church in Debresina that adopted Christianity even before Armenia! Even Islam was introduced to Africa first through Eritrea! In fact, the world's first mosque is found in Massawa - Eritrea! Moreover, the Eritrean Adulite Kingdom predates centuries ahead to the Sabbean Jewish Axumite Kingdom! So, get your record straight! No fairytale!
The Tigrians who live in Axum now are slaves captured by King Alexander in Tikrit - Iraq [after he defeated Persia] & he gave these slaves as a gift to the Axumite King Wazema to serve his Sabiean Israelite people who were ruling from Axum. Thus, the Tigrians who live currently in #Tigray have no connection with Axumites!

It is so ironic, when I tell a westerner I am Ethiopian, they address me in a matter of fact way that I am a Muslim. It's not that there's anything wrong with being a Muslim as there are millions and millions Muslim Ethiopians. Their assumption that they are more Christians than us is what infuriates me. Second - if they claim that they have the true Ark then they should prove it. I'm quite sure the Israeli agents already were in Ethiopia to check this out and if this so called "Ark" is still in Ethiopia then it's mean the Israeli agents realized it's not the true Ark. Don't you think that Israel would do anything to get the Ark? Some mere Ethiopian priest would not stop them.

And before to contradict me I am an Romanian historian with an degree in international history and I am Muslim and that's why Ethiopia it's mentioned in Coran like 1600 years ago our profet Muhammad pbuh. Found refuge from the oppression of the pagans Arab qures in the court of the Christian King Najashi who was famous for his justice and moral values and protection of Abrahamic religions and he was descending from an Christian royal family who was first time documented as Christian in the first century. Maybe what you researched and misunderstood is the century when Ethiopia was recognised international by the Europeans Christians , or officially recognised by the rest of the Christian country's as an Christian country. Ps. And At that time Ethiopia was Kingdom, not country and was Kingdom all the way till 18 th century.

Book of acts tells of an Ethiopian Eunuch who was reading the Book of Yesa’Yahu(Isaiah) while visiting Jerusalem to worship. He met Philip and was told about The Messiah who was crucified and resurrected! Phillip then baptized him. Safe to say he brought the good news of the Gospel back to Ethiopia and shared with everyone. This all occurred in the first century

I would like to share with you this scriptures.
saying, “We give You thanks, O Yahuah יהוה Ěl Shaddai, the One who is and who was and who is coming, because You have taken Your great power and reigned. “And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath has come, and the time of the dead to be judged, and to give the reward to Your servants the prophets and to the set-apart ones, and to those who fear Your Name, small and great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” And The Dwelling Place of Elohim Was Opened In The Heaven, And The Ark Of
His Covenant Was Seen In His Dwelling Place. And there came to be lightnings, and voices, and thunders, and an earthquake, and great hail.

And behold, a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace the queen of the Ethiopians, who had charge of all her treasury, and had come to Jerusalem to worship, (You can read the rest at your leisure)
