I totally agree with How to be Me, and Chinchilla's Fingers. Please make sure they are both the live versions though.
Chinchilla is talented AF. Live version of Fingers is pure expression of anger, and it is one of the best live performances I've ever watched.
They both have such beautiful voices.

I love his one shot one take approach to a lot of his videos. He can visualize how sound will be picked up on the single lapel microphone that is used to pick up both of them. You can tell it's just the one mic because you can hear them bring up the gain and noise floor when she's the only voice from further away.
Maybe it's as close to heaven a human can be , Trough their voices on this Mortal Plain.

One of the finest tunes ever written or performed, the mental health message is raw, honest and tragically needed.
I loved the emotion you showed during this most beautiful performance as it deserved every drop. I have said this before but I struggled to find a duet as good, maybe Billy Preston and Syreeta " With You I am Born Again " 1979 , some 44 years ago. I just find their chemistry extraordinary , Ren does call Chinchilla his younger sibling!! How to be Me is another stunning track they do together and the vocals in Chinchilla's Fingers Live on Hunger TV will blow your mind.
I'm always on the hunt for a good male/female duet and this is definitely up there a the top. For chemistry I also loved the band called 'The Civil Wars' - they actually had a little too much chemistry and broke up as they were both married to other people. I also enjoyed the lives studio version of Gotye and Kimbra singing Somebody that I used to know. And of course you have Tina Turner and Brian Adams, two great raspy voices together. Now going to check out With you I am born again.
The first time i saw this one i teared up. Not because of the Lyrics but because of the sheer beauty of it :)
I still tear up often and that's after dozens of listens over a few months. It's a pretty song for sure.
Right near the end for me the last build without the guitare is so emotion and powerful. I've never had a song do that maybe its due to the live not over produced sound that he gets from the one take concept.

Fighting depression and not giving in is difficult. You take the pills they give you to numb yourself but you're not really there anymore, and you're afraid of the days where you feel good because you know it wont last.

Ren was misdiagnosed a decade ago by doctors. He actually had Lime Disease but they thought his mind was playing tricks and gave him strong drugs psychotropics and told him he was crazy. The Lyme disease ran amuck for 7-8 years. He is currently in Canada receiving treatment to undo all the damage done. his life was dramatically shortened by the misdiagnosis but he is doing his best to stay in shape and recover all the stolen years past & future. Basically it's like having a broken leg and the Dr telling you it's all in your head and prescribing a bunch of super strong psychotropics for 7-8 years. I saw an interview the NHS would make fun of him for asking for more tests on his blood. They are the pig in his videos.
I've been on both sides of the track; believer, non believer... Addict, recovering (every day) addict... Sometimes, people just take you to church. This is life's gospel. Ren & Chinchilla made a song to reach people who needed it most. That's what makes them great. Loved the video and I love seeing so many different people reacting to his music. Be well, good people.

Don't be ashamed of being teary I was crying full on at the middle... I think this really speaks to everyone. We all have our demons, big or small and we all DO try to push them down with our everyday activities and hobbies, hide them from our aquaitances, it's all normal until it becomes just too much.

You should check out the recorded version if you haven’t already. This is raw but the harmonies in the recorded version is so good. Still doesn’t beat the emotion you’ll feel watching the video though.

Chinchilla (Daisy Matilda Bertenshaw) is 26 years old, from London, UK, and a rising star on the British music scene. She was a supporting act on Sting's 2019 European Arena tour and the opening act for the 2021 McFly tour. Chinchilla has also played some big European music festivals. I want more from these two together! Their voices just compliment each other so perfectly. MAD PROPS to Sam as well!! Sam is Ren's videographer. Being that Ren Gill is an independent artist and has no big record label supporting him (SUCK IT SONY! for dropping him as an artist when he got sick!) they have to find locations for filming that have good reverb and they can do one take recordings in at little or no cost to the filming budget. Sam is also in Ren's band 'The Big Push' and they've been friends for years and met when they were both Buskers in Brighton Beach. Chinchilla is a superb solo artist. You should try her live song 'Fingers'
So just Incase the messages of this song has been missed Ren has struggled throughout his life with illnesses including mental illnesses and autoimmunity disorders. He is talking about taking medications for depression and mental illnesses cause every doctor gives you medicine and says of this will cure it and it 99 percent of the time does not even anything you don’t feel like yourself you feel like you actually died and are this other person hence the words Chaulk Outlines.
I think "How to be Me" by Ren & Chinchilla should be the next one you should see!

Not that I know the lyrics this song hits harder. Talking about being tired of pills so you try something different, until you get addicted so you try something else until you get addicted to that also then you end up in a chalk outline. That's my take atleast
