He won 2 League Championships, FA Cup and 2 League Cups before being sacked in 2007/08. He would later go on to manage Inter Milan, Real Madrid, return to Chelsea for 2 years, Manchester United and Roma. He added further Italian League Championships, Coppa Italia, European Cup, Spanish League Championship, Spanish Cup, English League Championship and League Cup, and League Cup and UEFA Cup at Man United and European Conference League at Roma. The Champions League and a major league title in a competitive country like England, Spain or Italy? Highly doubtful. I think that time has passed.
He was a great manager, now he's just a good manager. His record from 02-12 speaks for itself, but look at the drop off since then. His last league win was Chelsea in 2015. Why is everyone on their knees for mourinho. Hes obviously one of the greatest managers of all time and his chelsea, real madrid, porto, and inter teams are historic. But he started off strongly at united but he deserved the sack and outed pogba for no reason. People seem to forget that pogba was united's best player and mourinho treated him unlike that. His football was stale and the same happened at tottenham, although he should have won a trophy before he was sacked. Roma, good cup performances, underwhelming league performances. He's not cut out for a 38 game league campaign at the highest level, but still an elite cup manager. I think the shift within mourinho that has made him fall off is instead of dying for his players in the press, he singles them out, and with the combination of boring football, he ended up in turkey

Teams that lack experiences he bring in 1 or 2 experiences player, lack ambition he gave them a small success but big long term goals, he will be harsh to those that lacks discipline, but all that in order to win matches, and winning is the fuel for a player confidence. Conte largely had his team + Kante, and should have won with Chelsea then given that Hazard, Fabregas, Matic, Costa spine. And oh yeah won the Europa League at Man Utd, getting the most out of average players like Antonio Valencia who failed under Moyes and LVG. Spurs was a failure, but it's typical Bottleham. Roma finished 6th this season. I watched every Roma game when he was the manager there and his style of play changes with different opponents. He's not boring or always parking the bus, but it's super pragmatic. Every player in Roma wanted to play for him when he took over, but the reality of the situation then was that not everyone there had the quality to make the club go to CL. Roma literally did not have enough players so much so Jose had to dip into the youth club to bolster his bench. The management grew tired of his whining, and Serie A officials hate him too. Roma was also in financial difficulty with FFP restrictions. You cannot compete at top level when the bench is comprised of youth players and your first team have to play every single game. Plus Romas one and only quality striker was injured the whole of the 2nd season. I love Roma but Jose's stint at Roma was unfair to him. Wish him the best of luck.

The archetypal Marmite manager. You either love or hate him, with seemingly no in between options. In my opinion he became a bit of a one-trick pony, relying on tactics and a man-management approach which were revealed to be ineffective during that second Chelsea spell. I thought the sniping and moaning, the seeming lack of humility, the refusal to adapt, the constant grudges… it all became tiresome. Great legacy, and a very successful manager at the top level, but at what cost to his sense of self? In recent months/years he has looked a shadow of the man he was.

I just wouldn't like him on my team cause he would make us play like a small team. I remember one semifinal with Barça he played with 10 defensive players and Drogba. His number 10 that game was Ramires... hahahah NO thx! (he lost btw) And for people that says he's better than Guardiola because he coached teams like porto or roma that doesn't make any sense. The difference is that Pep doen't need to go that "low" because he was never fired in his carreer not even once, Mourinho was fired several times. They also said its over for acceloti but............
Just know that mouriho had not been allowed free playing since his Chelsea Doctor downfall in 2015 as the fans have always turned the clubs against him, and mind it roma never took care of him in getting him valuable players not to mention quality players.
Yet, maybe its an honeymoon period or probably am right as we might see, it appeared mouriho, as confirmed by the uecL and back to back euro finals for roma, it seems mouriho got the best out of the roma players that the new coach ( de rossi) is now enjoying with about 7 wins out of 9 and only 1 loss.
The media and the former bad fans at man United and Tottenham couldn't let the roma players give their best respect for mouriho by playing all their hearts much as citizens players does for pep because they carried over a bad labelling for mouriho unto roma.
Yet, he wasn't assaulted at roma as he was in earlier 2 clubs.
Moreso, the people that were on mouriho at man United, Tottenham, and even the late Chelsea spell in 2015 could now see that mouriho wasn't the problem at those places as non is doing well currently except a moment of epL and ucl at Chelsea.
The terrible fans are off his back and i can only expect him on a new restart of life at a new bigger club - Liverpool, Chelsea, bayern, even psg and maybe Madrid should acce gat to leave.
Once mouriho could do his job without those terrible fans and media, you'll find out hes better than pep.
Mouriho has been compared with some numbers of one season coaches since his assault-times at man United and Tottenham, but now, where are all those one season wonders.
Tuchel, neggelsman, ten hag, poche, flink, etc.
There's only 2 coaches that have measured up to mouriho since his 2015 Chelsea downfall and thats pep and klopp.
Acceloti is a third but he was also said to be useless until appointed by Madrid.
Klopp may be another benitez but at least until he leaves Liverpool before we can confirm.
Aside those real 3 equals to jose performance since 2015, which othwr coach have been consistent as mouriho was >>>
    1. 2015 epL trophy at Chelsea and carabo cup
    2. 2017 europa and carabo at United
    3. 2018 epL at man United to be confirmed in 2025 by man City ban.
    4. 2021 carabo cup final at Tottenham unplayed 5 days to the cup.
    5. 2022 uecl cup at roma
    6. 2023 back to back euro final europa cup negatively lost to sevilla
    Who else is consistent.
Once he have a decent job just as Acceloti, then you shall all see that his downfall was just a product of haters attack.

Those superstar players at United grew a bit of an ego. They should have just bowed down and followed instructions(and accept the abuse). People are very difficult to manage. you need THEM to show how good you are. But if they dont want to, u screwed. A Manager needs utmost respect to do his job.
