Henrik Edward Larsson born 20 September 1971)
joined Celtic in 1997. He won four league titles in seven years with Celtic, scoring 242 goals in 315 competitive matches
Following a contract dispute with Feyenoord, he was signed by Celtic manager Wim Jansen in July 1997 for a fee of £650,000 In Larsson's Celtic debut against Hibernian at Easter Road, he came on as a late substitute. He inadvertently passed the ball to Hibernian player Chic Charnley who then went on to score, resulting in a 2--1 defeat for Celtic. He scored an own goal in his first European game, although Celtic did go on to win 6--3 against Tirol Innsbruck. After his poor start to the season he went on to score 18 goals in all competitions, and was Celtic's top scorer for the season. Initially Larsson played the role of support striker alongside Darren Jackson, Simon Donnelly and later Harald Brattbakk. In November 1997 Larsson won his first medal for the club with a 3--0 win over Dundee United at Ibrox Stadium giving Celtic the Scottish League Cup. He scored the opener in the final day of the league season against St. Johnstone to clinch the championship for Celtic. It was the club's first league championship win since the double winning season 1987--88 and stopped Old Firm rivals Rangers from breaking Celtic's record of nine titles in a row - Sport

what a true legend and such a humble guy to score as many goals as he did overtaking lorimer and rush speaks volumes. in the modern era footballers not all but many are like mercenaries. so to stay at Celtic for seven years proved what kind of guy he is . gave everything was overjoyed for him when he got winners medal and his hands on the champions league after the disappointment of Seville. and listen to Thierry Henry after that game what he said about Henrik being the difference. not Eto not Ronaldhino. Larsson He will and is built in to the fabric of Celtic fc remembered long after many of us are long gone . what a player and what a man. God Bless The King Hail Hail.

World class ‘ it was a absolute joy to watch him out the opposition to the sword , the most lethal predator in the UK and definitely in the top 5 in Europe ,we had some team , but the whole league was strong , and it lit up the league , having that kind of quality in Scotland was absolutely fabulous for our league , but Larsson could score goals for fun in any league , brilliant in the Air he taught Ronaldo how to hang in the Air when he moved on a short loan spell to Utd, but he’s our Larsson Celtic through and through our King of kings 💚🍀

To think Henrik had to take feyenoord to court and we went in with the£650k for him little did we know that he was going to become the king of kings the night he win the champions League final for Barca it felt like we all win it as Teirey Henry said everybody spoke of Ronaldinho & Et'o nobody mentioned Henrik Larsson & as we know set up both of Barca's goals some tic fans say he was the greatest ....not quite jinky will always have that accolade although his chip over Klos v the huns will always go down as the finest goal scored at Celtic park in an old firm game ( no such thing today since they died 7 years ago) hail hail to the king of kings

The sporting side of me celebrates what he did for Celtic, but most important, the Christian side of me gives thanks to God for all that's good in Henrik as a human being. If people could get into the kingdom of heaven based on their works, then Henrik would be celebrating for eternity, thankfully for me, works don't count!..
He is a true gentleman, Henrik is. Such a good influence, in a sport where not all are such good influences. And what a player!! He played the Beautiful game.
