A man that wasn't born into celtic but grew into it as he played, genuinely heart breaking during his final interview watching how devastated he was when he finally left

Well remember he won the golden boot whilst playing at Celtic and did remarkable things with Sweden during those years... trust me everyone knew his credibility he was just very very loyal to celtic that he happened to play in his prime for them.
Pause Forethought yes fair enough the Scottish game isn’t familiar worldwide but defintely always great players coming out the league even to recent date - Van Dijk, Andy Robertson, Wanyama, Kieran Tierney etc etc during Larsson time lots of top players - Bronchorst who went to play for Barcelona also, Artur Numan, Boruc, Nakamura

The only player to score 2 goals against Celtic knocking us out of the champions league who didn’t celebrate, but we gave him a standing ovation. I was there and it was so emotional, Henrik just put his down when he scored and Ronaldinho and co were all over him. God bless him 👑

My nephew was just daft about Henrik. All his school essays were about Henrik Bloody Larson. My brother had him in a Celtic shirt the second he popped out into the world.

i think in 98 he was interested in larson and mols as a front pair but mols was soon injured i remember ferguson at ibrox watching mols after only 6 games.i think in his book he doesn't name mols but mentions a rangers forward but mols is the only one it could have been

My thought exactly xD That's a player who's been playing with and against them all (players & teams) basically. He have stories for days. But also just talking about the jerseys from an athetic point of view. He's never told or been asked about a shirt design. Now that I think about it it he did commemt on a Sweden jersey once back in 2012 I think when Sweden got their new kit for the european championship in Ukraine.

As a Rangers fan he broke our hearts on many occasion however total respect for him. A wonderful player in every league he played in and a top bloke too.

Even as a Rangers fan I have nothing but respect for Larsson and also Lubomir Moravcik - outstanding footballers who conducted themselves with class.
Aye Larsson and Moravcik were the two most technically gifted Celtic players. Laudrup and Gazza were rangers. The deboar brothers as well.

World class striker, I remember I watched Celtic v spurs pre season in the mid 90s he wasn't playing but had the pleasure of bumping into him and his family outside Celtic park, he was brilliant with every club he played for and was international legend for Sweden

Great down to earth guy.. Best player I ever seen in the SPL. Seen alot of people say not as good as ibra because he's done it on more leagues. But larsson showed his class at barca won them the champions league by putting goals on a plate and then signing for man u on loan again and doing it, If larsson wasn't as loyal and moved on earlier maybe he get a little more recognition off the Swedish at least. He could of banged them in like ibra in the mls at 40 too, he was an amazing player.

It was a joke. Celtic fans cheered him when he played against them for Barcelona. Whole Celtic stand was covered in banners thanking Larsson.
I thought it was funny at the time. It was such an emotionally charged match it was hard to judge. I don't think it was intended to hurt Henrik it was humorous. I don't think there is anyone at Celtic that doesn't appreciate what the man gave to us and what a joy and pleasure he was to watch. He will always be remembered at Celtic Park.
Those 3 months at United were brilliant, best Loan signing in Premier League history! It makes me gutted more though as he recently said he wishes and regrets that he didn’t stay for longer!
