🌟🌟 Excellent 🌟🌟
Can't believe it was 2 years ago
They really need to have a stamp date when they jump around. If it wasn’t for these videos I’d have absolutely no clue what’s going on and probably would have quit watching after few episodes
Yeah, the show jumps between at least 2 timelines in addition to all the characters they introduce. Reading the first book, "The Last Wish" helps a lot.
theres definitely context clues that fill you in but i think at first you aren't supposed to know which i think is pretty cool
Or use a simple sound effect like LOST did. Each jump in the timeline was audible. I’ll never understand why that method isn’t copied by these non-linear storytelling series.
True
@@jayburdification Anyway, LOST lost me. Clearly there was no game plan to that show in terms of wrapping it up.
We can abbreviate ‘before Ciri’ to BC
TheSauerkraut present Ciri should be PC hahaha
TheSauerkraut 😂😂😂😂
I found episode 4 the most confusing one yet . I’m trying to watch and just let it happen. But this one ... oh my gosh! Thank you so much for the break down!
You really have no idea how important you are to us, non readers of the novels, do you??
Thanks for this content
You're welcome!!!!!
Thank goodness for you otherwise I would have no idea what’s going on 😂
You're welcome I am glad I could clear somethings up for you :)
Seriously?
😂
I've had to stop watching the Witcher at episode 5. After only starting to watch the series last week, I've gotten into a routine of watching the episode and then watching your video explaining it. I've tried watching other people's explanation videos but it's just not the same 😃 Eagerly awaiting your next one!
Thanks your kind words mean alot!!!!! Also Ep.5 breakdown is up now czcams.com/video/9O-8kGGXpbk/video.html
@@JellyJugz I just started this series & had some questions. As this is an adaptation, there is so much to squeeze in and things I need further explanation. Thank you so much. You're definitely the best & most thorough! ❤️

but it's a mood
joseph thiccums 💀💀
joseph thiccums Elsa from frozen
Like you could do better
They never gave her anything else to do but react in shock and bewilderment. Not her fault.
I never clicked on a video as fast as i did now , it nearly broke my screen
Are you using a touch screen lol
Dude....bravo on all of your summaries/explanations/cliff notes. They're fantastic, and I love that you open with the timeline for the three main characters. Although I've watched the entire season, I still come back to watch your videos for a deeper understanding. Nice work.
Thanks, I am glad I could help!!!
LMFAO I completely missed the law of surprise part, Im so dumb
Same... but I didn't understand anything that happened after Hans Moleman appeared.
@@askapk Hans basically has the Shrek curse, but in reverse. He only looks human between midnight and sunrise. That's why he was saying he couldn't remove his helmet until the stroke of midnight.
I did too so no you ain’t dumb💀
Are you not monetazing your videos or why don't I see ads in any of them? You obviously put a lot of effort in these videos so you deserve some reward for it imo
So the reason why these videos aren't monetized is because of the Game of Thrones Compilations on my channel. Since I have a lot of those compilation videos on my channel, youtube will not allow any of my videos to be monetized. I never tried monetizing those compilation videos, the only videos I did monetize were the ones I talked in like this, but CZcams still had an issue with it. So I would have to delete all those GoT comps if I wanted to make any money off youtube so what can you do lol
@@JellyJugz I see, your best bet seems to be finding a sponsor
Set the GOT videos to private and monetize these, to see how they perform. May be worth leaving the GOT in the past to let your channel grow.
Would it be feasible to start a second channel and move the compilations there? Maybe that would open up these for monetization.
ByKruutteri we are the reward. Views 😊
Your first two episode explanations really got me on the straight and narrow. Watching these last two and your videos confirm (I think) that I have a good feel for what is happening each episode now.
Going to continue to take the season slow. Just in case I need to review your videos to make sure I know what is happening.
Appreciate the hard work.
I appreciate that you liked them It really does mean a lot!!!
I really waited for this one cause I’ve finished binging the Witcher and your videos are my only opportunity to stay in that awesome universe for longer! I know it’ll be a long time to wait for season 2 but your work helps me a lot to enjoy the first one even more! Thank you for that
You're Welcome!!! I believe they start filming the 2nd season in February but will not be released until 2021

4 years later & your videos are still very much useful! New watcher here & I would be totally lost without your breakdowns! Thank you!
This is honestly the best type of video ever! So simple and just brilliant! I cant wait for the ones coming up next! Excited!
Dude. Thank you for these explanation videos! You are making it so much more interesting to keep watching the next episodes. You are greatly appreciated
geralt's priceless "fuck" is my fav lmao
You’re the only channel that actually breaks it down by detail! I love it! I’m ready for episode 5
I'm working on the ep.5 video right now
To be honest man I didn't have any idea what was going on with the series's episodes. It took me 4 episodes to understand that the episodes are splited by three timelines 🤦🏻♂️🤣. Had to watch your explanation videos in order to understand what was really going on. Thank you for your videos 🤙🏼👀
Same
Wow, I've just been glancing at the many thankful comments and that's great, really. I haven't been watching any videos on this show at all until today, but I've watched seasons 1& 2 ,,can't wait till 3 comes out! I just watched twice and when I can't find anything else I want to watch, I'll watch my favorite episodes over again!!! So I'm glad my Son, the die hard gamer, recommended it to me!! Now let me say that you're doing many viewers a great service by explaining the episodes out ! Not everyone has time to rewatch it seems! 😁🆒⚔️🏹🖤🛡️
Thanks for doing this series! Love the series but the timelines are confusing.
they are confusing but there is actually a point in them seeing that the characters don't age
You are Welcome!!!
I'm watching them right now and loving it so much but I am very confused by the time line or time placement there's no like telling
I'm so thankful for these videos, I just watched this episode and it was so confusing I really need an explanation right now :D
You're doing a great job, good editing and writing out names and stuff, thank you
Your Welcome, I know the names can be hard in this series because of how exotic they are, I have a hard enough time pronouncing them lol
No pressure bro but i've just caught up and imma need that ep 5 recap soon
Tomorrow it will be uploaded. It would have been sooner but work got it the way
These videos clarify so much! Keep them coming 👍
Will do!!!!
Awesome recap. Clear and easy to understand. Thank you!
Perfect :D I just finished the fourth episode 4 minutes ago. Thank you :>

I got so confused 😂
These breakdowns are amazing, thanks!

i love this, thank you!!
You are welcome I am glad you liked it!!!
I'm jumping onboard the Witcher-wagon a bit late; I'm only now beginning season 1 and the second season is already out. I had never heard of the story or the show and jumped in on a friend recommendation; your work has made my understanding and appreciation for this great show even better. I owe you a debt; Law of Surprise? Or how about I just say "thank you" instead? Good work, man. Thank you.
Thank you I was so confused!!!
THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE 🤯😫
Thank you your reviews help me catch anything that i missed or didn't quite understand. Thanks for helping with the timeline...I knew there were 2 but I totally missed there were 3. I'm on episode 7 now and i will be back to watch your videos after.
You are welcome!!! I am glad u was able to with the whole timeline situation I know it can be kind of confusing
@@JellyJugz it was confusing but posing attention did help.
Yennifer's timeline is more than 20 years to Ciri's.; if she was human, she'd be geriatric.
Yennifer is like about 70 + the age she was at the start, so maybe 84 in the end. I have read that Geralt is like 120 at episode 8
@@jmulvey92 Find the article: "The Witcher’s Lauren Hissrich and Freya Allan talk fantasy, character journeys and fan expectations". Lauren says that Geralt is almost 100 in the first episode
I love how to quote directly from the episodes, a lot of the dialogues are insanely well written! It'd be a shame to not quote them. Also love your voice work. About your Twitch channel, when/ what stuff do you stream?
Well I'm glad you like the video!!! Its been a hot minute since I streamed since the witcher has come out, but when I do it's like the witcher 3, red dead, I mean really anything battle royals gta that sort of thing
thanks allot I'm so relieved that I know what has actually taken place in e4.
wow so glad this is here.. just watched it and was soooooo confused.. thank you!
You're welcome!!!
As someone who made the mistake of starting season 2 pretending that they’d remember everything important from season 1...you are doing the work of gods sir. These recaps are absolutely clutch. 🤘🏻
Thank you!

It was crazy when he said he claims the law of surprise then everyone started fighting each other seemingly picking sides at random i was so confused. This world is so dense im glad for these videos.
I didn't realize until this episode that all of these plot lines are happening at different times. Words cannot describe how confused I was. Thanks for the video.
You're Welcome!!! The timelines were definitely a big problem this season
Ok now I have to watch the series and come here for explanation that makes it two episode in one anyways thanks for the explanation bro otherwise I would have not known what’s happening in the upcoming episodes 👍🏻

Dude your doing a amazing job on these Witcher videos. Please continue to do these and make sure your adding where the Veer off from the book or games. Thank you so much these videos are helping my wife watch the series with me. I know other ppl are doing explained videos however yours have a higher quality to them and are much better , please keep up the good work.
Thanks, I am glad you are enjoying them :) and I will try and mention whenever they veer off from the books as much as I can
That 20 mins flew by 🤣🤣
Thanks for your videos. I’ve watched other people overview but yours are the most detailed and makes it easier to follow what happens in the show. I’ve already watch season 1 but I look forward to your overview of the rest of the season.
Your kind words really mean a lot to me, Thank you!!!! :)
Great video!
Thanks!!!!
oh shit 6 hours ago, good timing!!!!!!
I don't know the books, I haven't played the games... i started seeing yesterday and I liked the style, but could not understand anything. It's all "blink and you miss". Thank you for these videos
So duny"s surprise becomes his lover but Geralt's surprise becomes his daughter? What am I missing here? Can somebody explain? What does "belongs" mean in that law?
How do we know there are different timelines & how do we know it changed? I’ve seen ep1-4 but I didn’t know it had different timelines until I saw ur second video for The Witcher.🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
So Ciri's parents are duny and pavetta ciri has not yet been born yet in the scenes with geralt in them. at the end of the episode we find out pavetta is pregnant ciri is that child
You are soooo important to us alll❤
finally i can watch the 4th episode now that this is out 🥰
I will try and be quicker with the breakdowns they just really take a long time lol
JellyJugz no need to rush man. You do a really thorough job and it’s epic
@@harrisonwhite698 Thanks Your kind words mean a lot :)
Great
I actually like the Jaskir connection more than the book for why Geralt attended this betrothal. Also, autocorrect hates the character names and tries very hard to prevent us from talking about them.
I know, I’m trying to say that the Witcher, Cirillia, yeneffer, and jaskir are my favorite characters.
Not: the Witches, Cirilo is, yen especially, and jasmine.
quality content m8
It all make sense now XD. Why didn't they put a timeline caption like 20 years before Ciri or something like that? I didnt even realize that was Ciri's mother and grandmother because I thought they were dead from the first episode, so I thought they were different people XD. Ahh so confused XD, but now i get it.
Ya I dont know why they didnt caption it. It would have saved alot of people headaches
im pretty sure he used Aard, he holds his hand the same way he did in the Blaviken fight, and Axii has a very unique casting hand move
My bad most have mixed up my A signs
Duny from Urcheon, is it book or a show coincidence that it sounds like they took the word from a sea urchin?
I think its in the books as well, at least according to the wiki
I love the show, but I’ve never watched something so difficult to follow. Even GoT I was able to piece together without too much trouble. But this is tough. My question is, who did the porcupine save? The princesses father? Is he dead? He refers to him as “the queens husband”, but she’s not married to him. She’s marrying the new guy. Where is the princesses father?
He saved pavettas father the king who died I think a couple of years before this
This episode is one of my favorites!! 👍💕 It may have been "all over the place"! But maybe that's what makes it a favorite of mine, it had humor , from the start, it isn't that hard to figure out what's what when you're already seen it once!! 😉 I watch most shows or movies twice if I'm able to,IF I liked it the first time,,, you'll notice all the things you missed the first time around and be glad you did watch again!! I didn't like the first episode of season 1,,, so I really didn't think I'd ever even watch any more of this show!! Now I'm a huge fan!! Yep! Toss a coin to the Witcher!!! And watch it again!!! 👍😁🏹⚔️🗡️🛡️🖤
Did you like it better the 2nd time through?
Why didn't you explain why yennefer didn't just kill the blade bug before after the bitch is killed off? Was it her plan to take the kid all along?
It annoys me so much she didn't just kill the bug earlier.... Or maybe she didn't have the power to do so before she arrived at the flower place (so she could leech the flowers and use it for such potent an attack)
I NEED ANSWERS!!!
I'm a bit confused at the royal family tree here.. so Ciri is the daughter of the girl' in this episodes? I thought Ciri was the daughter of the Renfri? Or was renfri her aunt?
Renfri is not related to Ciri. But you are correct in saying that the girl with blonde hair in this episode is Ciri's mother
fiona looks just like her mum, bro are they actually related irl?
Who is pavantes father though?
He died sometime before this episode his name is Roegner
I did not know yennifur story was a different timeline. This show is good but so confusing
i was so lost on why the king and queen of cintra were still alive
So episode 1, 2, 3 and 4 are in different timelines for each character.
So, are you going to explain to everyone where Duny and Pavetta’s marriage goes, and Duny’s eventual plan for Ciri?
When the show gets to that point. If I would said it in this vid people would have complained about future spoilers
Thank fuck for this video it’s an amazing series but the fact that they don’t mention it when they jump through timelines is frustrating enough to make someone stop watching the whole series....they should throw you a coin for keeping us on track 🤣🤣🤣
You're welcome im glad I was able to help!!!
This is more of a recap than an explanation... I haven't read the books and got completely lost in this episode.
Goood❤
Glad I’m not the only one who was genuinely confused
Does this mean Dara is the Kwizatz Haderach?
The part I still don't quite understand is...Gerald met the bard in the previous episode, after his conflict in the previous village where he had to kill the girl he'd try to convince to give up her grudge against the wizard. Then, we see that same wizard on the council prior to Yennefer completing her magical cosmetic transformation. So, does that mean these 20 yr timeline differences actually began from Episode 1 and didn't just appear in Episode 4?
Correct
@@JellyJugz Thanks, makes much more sense now. They really should have added some textual explanation at the start of the first episode for us mouth breathers who never read the books. To be honest, I never even knew there WERE books, thought the series was based on the video games.
You're welcome!!!! Ya the whole timeline thing was a mess its something I dont think you should do season 1 especially when you have to introduce a lot of characters.
Ciri is 21 in witcher 3 so nut sure about the age you mention
tbh I did not believe Yennefer's new motivation. It just wasn't planted. Her desire for power makes sense but not her sudden need to have biological children, which she never expected to be able to do regardless. I feel like it was added to make her hate the magic school and institution more, but she had plenty of reason to hate it already
Can someone help me understand this? So I understand the “Law of Surprise” and the Witcher claims it as well to Duny. But seeing how they just had a binding ceremony, how did Pavetta get pregnant? Did she have sex with someone else? And how did they all know she was pregnant just from vomiting?
Great video btw- helps me understand it & enjoy it!
Tortoise Queen she had been secretly seeing Duny for a year or so already. She didn’t fall in love with him in his cursed state, but when he was his regular self.
So Pavetta had sex with Duny at some point in time, there is a line in the episode where he says how they woke up together. Her being pregnant I'm not sure about maybe she knew but hadn't told anybody else yet.
Then when was Duny cursed? And when did he agree to the law of surprise with Pavetta's father?
Some things are meant to be inferred. Every detail will not be spelled out exactly, you just have to make the connections.
@@askapk Duny was cursed when he was a child idk much more then that
Is there any particular reason why we see Yennefer protect the queen and the baby, is the baby or her mother somehow important to the story, some reference or something? Or is it just for us to see how yennefer is not satisfied with her life?
Pretty much how she is not satisfied with her life
I need you to release the other ones... no one else on CZcams is this good at explaining this series and breaking it down.. that emergency awesome dude is off his fucking head have no idea what he is saying
I really thought Princess Poveda and Ciri were the same person. That’s why they kept saying that poveda’s mother was ciri’s grandmother.
i thought so too before watching this video and it confused the hell out of me. i think they could’ve done a better job at making the actress not look *exactly* like Ciri, cause Pavetta may be her mother but children aren’t just a copy paste of one of the parents
@@f_r_o_g_ right. They could've also done a better job of explaining what exactly was going on. I feel like everyone went to this channel just to figure it out.
You must do peaky blinders next
You know did watch like the first 3 seasons of that I think, are they still coming out with new seasons on Netflix?
JellyJugz yes
@@JellyJugz Yes! 5 seasons and season 6 is coming next!
Witchers were created by the first mages Cameron had a mage that made the potions help create the witchers but he was killed before he picked his new successor student or maybe his student was killed too normally the mage only have one student at a time if the student was killed they would pick another one may just live a very long time but the mage was killed his student was killed and his secrets were lost his books were burned the brotherhood of saucers don't know how maybe some of them do that's how uniform knows how to make it in the game the potion because the Witcher making potion because I think she only knows how to make part of it
They just sped right through the queen and her daughter getting killed. I had to come watch this to see what is happening. I think that's what's happened cause this video jumped right over it too.
Well pavetta ciri's mother died out at sea and Pavetta's mother queen Calanthie we saw her die in ep 1 she jumped during the siege
What is law of surprise
Basically pussy on layaway but you gotta be wit it no matter if you try to run away
In the book, he uses Aard on pavetta.
Maybe they make an exception for young male elves or halflings
Geralts timeline cant be 30 years before ciris as ciri is 16 and her pregnancy was found out in this episode meaning this was about 17years before
It more of a rough estimate tbh just stating different timeline also I said 20 years
He said about 20 years which is technically correct
@@zen5526 so siri must be 18 or so? 20 years before siri, pregnant for 9 months or so. So that would make siri 19. I think 🤔
@@jb3funk Like I said rough estimate lol
I still don't understans that law of surprise. Can anyone please explain in the simplest way possible?
It's like a magic thing once someone calls for it they are bound to whatever object they get
so what was the deal with the rectangle cut into the dead queens skin and the guy swallowing it?
So he can track Ciri through her blood
@@JellyJugz appreciate the videos bro...I impress my girlfriend by regurgitating all the knowledge you give us here. I'd be lost without you.
@@tau566 you're welcome glad you like them!!!!!!
Do the nightmare of the wolf
I did czcams.com/video/ZYsFMyBRjSI/video.html
wait so times with the witcher are 20 years before? so why is it that the queen is bloodied like she died because she said *Its my burial* im so confused.
Edit: i understand now but so then all this stuff is align with ciri? so then what are they doing in ciris time?
So Ciri’s storyline take place over maybe a couple of where as gwralt yens takes place over decades. So when Ciri is running through the woods Geralt was just leaving cintra and then he gets got by that monster and has all those visions. Can't remember the name of the monster been awhile lol and yennefer is at sodden ready to fight nilfgarrd
I still dont understand why yennefer teleported to a field of flowers instead of fighting the other mage and then still coming back like huh?
