------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.
As an american, it's such a blast watching this show that I just have never had access to. Thank you for posting all the clips!
@Red Dwarf we've got tiny attention spans over here, so I like the individual challenges. In the summer, I might get to the full episodes. They're so much fun. The soundtrack is also kind of wild.
For the non-geotagged (where either the production company, or Channel 4 has no legal obligations) they've uploaded all the complete episodes from all 10 seasons. Outside of the US, Great Britain and Australia, all of these are freely available.
Welcome to the other side of the Hulu wall.
@Red Dwarf I like to watch the full episodes but about half of them aren’t available in the US for some reason, and it seems to be random episodes that aren’t available in our country. It’s pretty weird tbh.
Go watch series 11 it’s on here
That cheetos from grandfather line was hilarious
He also uses them as contact lenses!
I cannot beleive that Bob had a can of WD40 and didn't think of using it to make the table more slippery
I would lit the wd40 can on fire. Boom! You can always blow things up!
@@tr6431 technically it was to blow it off the table so he would've gained point for creativity I'm sure
Haha-most of us took in a breath of suspense thinking, ‘genius!’ Then exhaled in disappointment at the point he began trying to blow the can off the table.
Lubricating a rotating object would just mean that it would rotate in place and not maintain traction. The outside of a wheel is supposed to have high friction, not low friction.
Or remove the little straw thing taped to the side of the can
Greg: "I never expected someone to semi-blind themselves..."
And a year later we'll see Rhod Gilbert sacrificing his corneas to not blink for over 7 minutes.
Btw v norse version of this show one of the ylvis brothers (the guys that did "what does a fox say" song) did not blink for 2 hours and 47 minutes. If you want to find that video, just search "ylvis don't blink" or somethink it has english sub
He seems to have forgotten Romesh and the Hot sauce
I would argue Noel blew away the most substantial thing, that being his pride when he looked like he was trying to toss the salad of a plastic giraffe.
But did he blow it *off the table* ?
@@HappyBeeGaming He blew it to heaven, that's for sure
I'd argue that tossing a giraffe's salad would be a point of pride for noel
"I forgot to tell you, my grandfather gave me those cheese puffs."
4:53 Alex's instinct to say "try it!" ... like a sociopath! Is why this show exists. 😂🤣😂
I would have written "the most substantial thing" on a sheet of paper and laughed maniacally
you.. you get it
i had the same idea
I actually thought on writing "Your mind"
So I could blow your mind.
I guess that would be a good answer
"World Peace" was my idea, LOL.
My solution was to sign a blank check
But that would be boring to watch tho
This show genuinely makes me giggle every couple of seconds. Where do they get all those witty people??
England, tbh
Both the host and the contestants are well known British comedians
tbh it's probably somewhat scripted
@@neilgoodwin2745 ~ Katherine Ryan is Canadian.
@@justatest90 ~ With the exception of Canadian Katherine Ryan.
noel smiling like mad throughout the whole task is my favourite part
That six profile pic is a banger🤙🤙❤️
@@decadeyt5891 why thank you very much :)
7:45. I too have gotten such a gift from my grandfather as well. Very substantial. I agree.
My immediate thought was "is there a leaf blower in the shed?" Glad to see someone though of that!
Also had that thought
I immediately thought of standing on table, blowing and falling backwards off the table.
I am surprised no one tried to stand that giant painting on the table and then try to tip it over by blowing on it.
That was my immediate thought.
…or using the painting to blow something of the table. Or maybe that counts as fanning.
@@sonicaddiction Fanning an umbrella got a joint second place, so I think there is no issue with that
“Alright, Alex. Drop trous and hop up onto the table.”
given a shirt that says DTF.... LOL
“BLOW something OFF the table” “Alex come here and pull down your pants”
Big letdown if their head take is weak though, and Alex is left blue-balled.
In under a minute though. Gotta have skills for that, unless you use your prep time to work up a hair trigger I suppose...
Too bad he's not substantial.
@@jo_magpie ooooo burn!
7:00
The cutest reaction from Alex
I'm really surprised no one chose money. It would have been so easy to blow off the table 💸
@Paula Reichmuth Money, your credit card and your driver's license should do the trick.
Exactly what I thought
Because they getting paid for being in the show. So they already have money. They choose something else
a pity Al Murray was not in this game
Poor guy didn’t realize the nozzle from the WD40 can was blocking it from rolling.
Josh laugh-bouncing in his seat made me giggle. 7:48
Noel Fielding is the best things that’s ever happened in Taskmaster!
I like to play along in my head, with the additional rule that I have to stick with my first idea. I'm really concerned how often this involves some form of fire, explosions or hazardous chemicals. I mean a little bit of pyromania is nothing abnormal in my career but the fact that my first thought was to use an explosive to "blow" something off the table, has me a bit concerned.
Exactly what I thought. It didn't even occur to me that they meant producing wind with your mouth until one of the candidates did it. I would have probably put the table outside and tried light a spray can or something.
My first thought was to blow whatever is in Alex's wallet off the table, but when I saw Bob repeatedly emphasizing the word blow while reading the task at 0:44, I started thinking he was going to try to blow something up. Then he just rolled a beer can lmao
Instantly thought as blow up or blow as in to strike
You would have fit right in with the Mythbusters.
I started watching this show on youtube without even knowing what it was, obviously I loved it, how could you not. Then was so pleasently surprised when eventually I came across an episode with Noel (im a big fan of boosh, luxury comedy), he's just such a genuinely funny human and along with all these other genuinely funny people, this is probably one of the best shows I've ever seen. There's nobody that I don't like out of any of the seasons, and I generally hate everyone.
I love how much fun Noel had on the show. He should become a regular. :)
I'm a bit sad no one used explosives to... Blow something off the table.
Surprised noone thought to get a balloon, then put something on it, then blow up the balloon to teeter it off the table. Course, it could have been more disastrous than Noel's attempt, so maybe that's why.
Well i think Alex is glad that Bob did not blow what he first thought of. Or maybe not ;)
Can we talk about the fact that Katherine has at least two different pieces of clothing that say DTF in huge letters across the front?
And that she decided to wear them on public TV?
...Though to be fair, Phil Wang did wear that horrendous yellow jumpsuit with his "nob" on full display
Katherine clearly lives in a Looney Toons world where everything is solvable with a crazy contraption that works by the Rule of Cool.
I'm shocked nobody else got the leafblower. That was literally my _first_ thought!
If he would have kept the can of WD-40 on hand, he could have sprayed the tabletop to give it some sort of grease covering, and then he probably could've blown something more substantial off of the top.
I think I would have taken a picture of the taskmaster himself ...the most substantial of the show..
Or propped up the table on one side, taken Alex' stopwatch and blown it off with the hairdryer.
But when you're not in their place you can always feel smarter 😉
I think the best idea I could think if was to make some sort of balance beam and then blow it on one end to make it teeter over to one end to make the object tumble of the table
That is genius
I wonder if they could have just angled the table a bit.
Good thought! No specifications in the rules about not tilting the table. You'd have to be careful, though, about it being argued that your item "rolled" off the table, instead of being "blown".
@@michaelccozens Very true!
I've already watched it on the full episode but why not lol. Thanks Taskmaster
Nobody thought to blow the task off the table...
Not very substantial is it though?
@@jk7690 but everything hinges on it, that seems pretty substantial
@@JoaoPessoa86
Some might say, the most substantial thing involved.
This is the only show I would want to be on
of course that’s the thumbnail for this clip. of course it is.
Love this show
Before watching the attempts: I would have asked for a printed map of the British empire at its peak.
genuinely surprised there wasn't a blowing everything in sight joke there
Greg’s teacher is showing again
Substantial would be size: weight, length and height?
As someone who wears contacts I feel for Rob especially if he had to do other tasks that day and didn’t have a backup.
When I heard blow my mind went “there”.
I prefered when they tried to find loopholes in tasks like turning on the light for the painting in the dark. With this, i'd have chanced my arm with punching something heavy off (dealing a blow to it). Failing that, could always get a quarter stick of TNT and really blow it off the table! 🤣
A new Taskmaster gets a thumbs up before I've watched it.
Noel has to be the funniest on this season
This is one of the oldest series, other than that you're right.
I was really hoping for someone to write something along the lines of "Something debt" on a piece of paper and blow it off the table
Medical debt...oh wait it's the UK. Nevermind.
I would have just left, thereby "blowing off" the whole task.
Either that or punching an item with "one well placed blow" to knock it off.
i was thinking the same but i would have blown the paper the task was written on off the table
I was thinking a ream of paper and a blower.
The mess is the substantial part.
I need the 5 of the strongest air compressors available and an Alex.
Stand on the table and blow out, and just fall off the table.
Nobody thought to lift the legs of the table on one end to make a slope.
Catherine has DTF across her shirt. In the US, that means "Down To F^ok". You tell 'em girl, you're free!!!
my immediate thought was blowing the instructions off the table its easy and incredibly needed
Very disappointed that Catherine didn't immediately ask for explosives
If only I was prepped on this show with 100k cash and a leaf blower...
"I forgot to tell you my grandfather gave me those cheetos"
If it were me, I'd have greased up the table first and then got the leaf blower...
Cheese puffs are substantial for your snacktime. Way more than a ball, probably not as substantial as an umbrella.
ive been watching these videos for hours help
I’d do nothing and “blow off” my responsibility.
I was immediately thinking about some tnt. A bummer Rhod wasn't there
7:45 Yeap, gonna watch it again.
What wouldn't I do to be on that table
I would've placed the large painting standing on edge on the table and I would've placed some shims under the table legs on one side so that the painting was almost ready to fall over before even blowing.
Mildly surprised no one tried to blow the order off the table.
I love this show... language issue but happiness have no language
Everyone used ONE definition of blow. There are others .... "A sudden, hard stroke with a hand, fist, or weapon: a blow to the head"
I would have blown away the task. That's substantial.
Lots of people live their entire lives without seeing, but nobody lives without eating!
The umbrella would have caught wind much better the other way round.
I wonder if they'd taken the chair and put one leg on the middle spot if you could have set it close enough to it's balance point, with one leg off the table to start that you could have blown it off.
Get Johnny Vegas in the room and "Blow him" off the table 😂😂😂 Had to say it!
Am I the only one that popped the old contact in the mouth to moisten them? Its your saliva so its built to protect your body. Best lubricant for contacts I could find.
- for the basilisk
I don't use contacts so I can't say this with 100% certainty, but I don't think that's good for you. The human mouth is swarming with bacteria, can't imagine that putting them on your eyeballs is a good idea
Nothing said you couldn't tilt the table
My immediate idea was to move the table outside, put something large on the sticker and then use the big painting for air.
OR put the smallest thing available and say that I am blowing my chance of success. Because that is substantial. Now that I think about it. You could put the instructions and claim that they represent the task and the task is substantial since a bunch of people are taking it so seriously.
You could say that this was a 'substantial task'... I would simply proceed to blow the task/letter off the table :D
I reckon somebody should run around the house collecting up all the crews paper pound notes and blow that off (Still watchin so maybe it happens lol). Or see if anyone had a birth certificate/important paper document around
I would have taken the painting and balanced it so I would just barely not fall. Then I could blow it and knock it down easily.
“Aight Alex come here”
I never cared for Noel on QI, but I like him on Taskmaster. As an American, those are the only two references I have for him.
You need to check out a tv show called "The IT Crowd", he was in it along with Richard Ayoade and Chris O' Dowed. Hilarious show!
@@nstg8 Chris O'Dowd is great. Moone Boy is one of my favorite series.
Bobs thoughts were Alex get on the table.
Two words: Domino Effect.
Russell's "tower" was definitely not free-standing!
Cheetos is food which is substantial to your body lol
Blow something substantial off the table... Blow something substantial off (on) the table... Alex... Can you get blown off in 5 minutes?
Haha, Noel :P
I would have, if I had it on me, just put as much cash as possible on the table and blown that off. The other thing that I would do would require Alex's own nub...
It's interesting that a bunch of what I consider rich people didn't think to put a substantial amount of cash on the table and blow it off with a leaf blower.
Now that would be what we in the video industry call "the money shot".
i wouldve sat in the middle and blown myself off the table
how has no one thought of just writing "Something substantial" on a piece of paper and blow it ?
If this was in the us, there would have definitely been explosives involved
I would have asked Alex to empty his wallet onto the table
I would have blown off the task letter 🤩🤩🤩🤩
if Greg and Alex just make out one day, i’d feel a genuine sense of fulfillment
They did share a kiss at some point
@@lamisamhaz7755 oh I know, but that peck was not enough. they gotta take their daddy dom relationship to a 10
I would just put the biggest banknote in my wallet on the table, and blew it off.
I would of stood in the table and blew myself off of it
Commenting before seeing the answers :
Write a check with a substantial amount on it and blow it off.
I would have blown the task itself off the table.
tbh I'm surprised nobody heard "blow" and went for explosives
I would have just “blown” myself off the table 😂😂
Too bad noone asked Alex to take off his pants and get on the table only to follow up with saying that they don't think it would be substantial enough. 😁
That was my initial thought...
