In 1997 our platoon in Okinawa received a few Staff NCO's of the Drill field. As soon as they finished checking in, they held a formation. We were in for it...nope. They happy to return to the fleet, and they knew our anxiety and said , "Boot camp is over, we are all Marines. It is not right to treat Marines as Recruits, so with that we are not going to go DI on anyone. We all earned the title and we are all going to carry on day to day as usual." With that said, when I picked up NCO, I never yelled at the platoon even though other Cpl did so. Be a leader not a dick.
@Badco2020 great job Marine. I told my platoon, "Shit rolls down hill, but it ends with me. You will never see or hear it because you are the workers, not me." I also stayed in everything with them, the other Cpl's stayed in the office, not me.
My advice to present and future recruits is stop thinking you're the only one hurting. Through pain, weaknes leaves the body. Stay healthy, stay motto and above all else stay disciplined. 3rd Btln India Co. Plt3096 MCRD SD 2001.

The day he looks over you alphas in your final formation you will know he was there to make you a Marine no matter how bad it hurt. Hell he might even smile.
I hope you both know, Parris Island is also called MCRD, you seem to have forgotten that it means Marine Corps Recruit Depot, I cant stand when someone says, " did you go to Parris Island or MCRD?" Becauae obviously theres MCRD SD and MCRD PI
