Well the only thing Royal Marines and US Marines share is the name “marine”. Royal Marines are commandos, it’s in their name. They are special operations capable forces. US Marines are a conventional force. The USMC is basically just a second army. They have their own special operations elements in the Marine Corps, but most are basic infantry. That’s why the USMC has 200k people and Royal Marines have 6k.

Lol pretty sure the Royal Marines who’s training is actually tough enough where no woman has passed are stronger. Love my us marines but looking at some of the people who can make it past boot camp I think RM has got this one.
@@lieutenant-uj2fm the RM band just does phase 1 of training ( week 1 to 15 ) but tbf even then its not the proper training, they get away with murder, things regular nods wouldn't get away with, so its clear from day 1 they are not training to be commandos

Whoever it is in UK/us head shed who keep trying to pair USMC and RM as the same need to stop...they are not. One is a special ops capable commando force with training and selection to suit and the other is a huge assault infantry force that's arguably the size of alot of other countries army's.
They are close to special forces and on par with Army Rangers being the closest American equivalent. The selection for Royal Marines is far harder than USMC.
