4:29 The $18 billion over the next 10 years to build those ships is ALOT less expensive & more flexible than maintaining bases everywhere to be near the crisis areas. Imagine if we spent half the hundreds of millions of dollars we're sending to the corrupt politicians in Ukraine on our OWN Marine Corps? The Marine Corps budget is only $46 billion, always having the oldest equipment and having to make do as best they can. Yet we are sending an additional $106 Billion to Ukraine and they are still losing and can't beat an incompetent opponent. The money would be better spent here on our own military.

I remember my Sister coming home from work. I was doing my homework at the dining table.My Sister told me to be on the look out for Her Friend ,who was going to stop by. Well the front doorbell ring, and when I looked through the peep hole, it was a Marine staff Sergeant, dressed in service Charlie dress blue style for Recruiting , I called my sister and told Her, hey, there’s a Gentleman at the door looking sharp, and I know where I’m going after High School. I told Ssgt., I want that Uniform, His reply was it’s not easy, but judging by that look on your face, you seem determined to be a Marine. Little did I know that the Hurricane that was heading my, way, no check that, our way Marine Brothers was brutal,but that’s what we asked for, and we will cherish it for the rest of our lives! Semper Fi!

I was Kilo 3/5 with the 31st MEU. We went to Guam for the 50th commeration of the liberation of Guam and did a sunset parade for the Marines who fought on that island. After the parade we drank beers with World War 2 Marines. One of the greatest honors I ever experienced.

Thank you to these amazing young men for their honorable service to our country 💙🙏♥️

September 11 happened and I joined as soon as the recruiting stations opened back up. I was in basic training at Ft Sill by November. We all knew we were going to war!

I’m a veteran 2/4 during heavy fighting in Vietnam of 1967 during the siege of Con Thien in Vietnam. I was also in echo company. When I heard the news of the magnificent bastards episode at Ramada it just broke my heart. I know the pain that these veterans feel. But as Marines, we stand firm. We U.S. Marines do not allow adversity to destroy us. We are Marines all our lives. We love the corps sometimes more than we love ourselves. Semper Fi
