    I just paired a Fjallraven Anorak No.10 in XL with my medium LRB Boreal shirt. They must have collaborated on the sizing of these two. Arms of the Anorak are a bit longer, in a good way. The hoods act as one, hem, and overall shape and volume are about perfect. Well, I have a Mountain Hardware Gore-Tex shell in Large, and it works well, but just not as close to perfect.

  • @blkcpdconure
    @blkcpdconure Před 7 lety +5

    The cool thing about wool is that it is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I have worn my asbell anorak when the temp was 55F and also when it was 5F. Layer appropriately and you will have a 3 season garment(fall, winter and spring)

    Man, you chose the best. It's on my short list of winter gear I "need". I was curious on the sizes so that was a large, how tall are you again? Thanks

    • @BlackRifleSurvival
      @BlackRifleSurvival  Před 7 lety +1

      I'm 72" which is 6 foot on the dot. I wear a large I'm around 195lbs :( need to get back in shape but as you can see the large fit me with plenty of room to spare. hood is enormous so you can conceal well and I'm hoping you pick one up. now is the time they shipped it soooooooo fast. im.sure near winter they will be on demand again so get them while it's "HOT" lol.

    • @sameold77
      @sameold77 Před 7 lety +1

    • @BlackRifleSurvival
      @BlackRifleSurvival  Před 7 lety +2

      sameold77 I'm looking forward to your review on it. And it's worth the money. The stitching is solid. It's very warm. A bit itchy but what wool isn't and the best part they already preshrunk it so all you need to run is laundry and air dry. Simple maintenance. It doesn't have a bad odor or chemical smell and I must say, looks like Robin hood would approve. Lol. Hope your having a good day my friend. Keep the reviews coming on your channel!

      @ponsau Před 7 lety +2

      The makers are very good about accommodating your measurements. I used the measurements they gave and customized mine with a different shoulder and chest measurement. I was kind of in between two sized.
      It took longer to get it custom, but I had mine in about 3 weeks. Extremely warm and looks great.

      +Wolfgar Yurt lol, I don't use much other then beard oil to help maintain tangles and keep it healthy. But I can thank my Great Grandmother for her roots, heavy on the Scandinavian side. All the men got full beards in my family, only few of them grew them out.

    • @BlackRifleSurvival
      @BlackRifleSurvival  Před 7 lety

      to be honest I'd need to go back inside the jacket and take a peek. it seemed spacious enough I recall thinking to myself that I can put my wallet and keys here...so I would say the newer phones should fit fine. I'll get back to you on that when I check after work.

    Awesome buy Chris. This is going to be a great piece of gear for your colder season outings.
    If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I'm just trying to gauge what a large would look like on me.

    • @BlackRifleSurvival
      @BlackRifleSurvival  Před 7 lety

    • @marzcapone9939
      @marzcapone9939 Před 7 lety +1

      I'm also 6' tall, and usually 180-190. I ordered a Medium, and I think it's perfect. Unlike Chris', mine fits tighter and the sleeves/cuffs fit me more like a regular jacket. IMO, Chris could wear a medium, but just depends on the layers underneath. I can still wear another jacket underneath my medium. Yes, it's a bit harder to put on and take off, than a large would be, but I don't need help to do so.

      I'm 5'7" 190lbs and I had a medium and it was a struggle to fit over another piece of clothing. I returned it and Jason had no problem sending me a Large. Large fits a whole lot better on top of a thick fleece. I'm built big across the chest and shoulders and really need a custom fit but since that isn't happening , I bumped it to a large.
      I've seen people over 6' fit well into a medium , but for me it just won't fly.

    • @marzcapone9939
      @marzcapone9939 Před 7 lety

      I thought that for $15 extra they could make you a custom version. Like, a large body with medium length arms and/or hem.

    • @bryanr.3241
      @bryanr.3241 Před 7 lety

      Marz Capone
      Nope , Jason actually told me unfortunately they don't do custom. I had mentioned if it had more room in the arm pit , it would have been a good fit with a medium body. Maybe in the future he will change this issue a little. To be honest even the Large is a struggle to get on. But I still love this shirt.
      I also wouldn't trust the pre shrunk mentioned in this video , cause wool will shrink and I've never known wool to be "pre-shrunk" , just saying.
      Peace
