I just paired a Fjallraven Anorak No.10 in XL with my medium LRB Boreal shirt. They must have collaborated on the sizing of these two. Arms of the Anorak are a bit longer, in a good way. The hoods act as one, hem, and overall shape and volume are about perfect. Well, I have a Mountain Hardware Gore-Tex shell in Large, and it works well, but just not as close to perfect.
+Kaz Puisis awesome! Congrats on your new Boreal Jacket. You are gonna love using it. I feel bad for everyone else having artic sub zero temps right now and outside here it's a comfortable 55°
The cool thing about wool is that it is comfortable in a wide range of temperatures. I have worn my asbell anorak when the temp was 55F and also when it was 5F. Layer appropriately and you will have a 3 season garment(fall, winter and spring)
pronounced [BOR'ee'uhl]. Beautiful shirt! I wonder if you could make one of those? Obviously not as high quality, but worth trying. Keep the vids coming, sir.
+Keller Gibson I totally understand. I wanted one last winter but held off till I got a few bills set aside then bought it in the summer months. I will tell you though it's money well spent and will last you a very long time. Thanks for checking the vid out. Take care!
I'm 72" which is 6 foot on the dot. I wear a large I'm around 195lbs :( need to get back in shape but as you can see the large fit me with plenty of room to spare. hood is enormous so you can conceal well and I'm hoping you pick one up. now is the time they shipped it soooooooo fast. im.sure near winter they will be on demand again so get them while it's "HOT" lol.
sameold77 I'm looking forward to your review on it. And it's worth the money. The stitching is solid. It's very warm. A bit itchy but what wool isn't and the best part they already preshrunk it so all you need to run is laundry and air dry. Simple maintenance. It doesn't have a bad odor or chemical smell and I must say, looks like Robin hood would approve. Lol. Hope your having a good day my friend. Keep the reviews coming on your channel!
The makers are very good about accommodating your measurements. I used the measurements they gave and customized mine with a different shoulder and chest measurement. I was kind of in between two sized. It took longer to get it custom, but I had mine in about 3 weeks. Extremely warm and looks great.
+Wolfgar Yurt lol, I don't use much other then beard oil to help maintain tangles and keep it healthy. But I can thank my Great Grandmother for her roots, heavy on the Scandinavian side. All the men got full beards in my family, only few of them grew them out.
to be honest I'd need to go back inside the jacket and take a peek. it seemed spacious enough I recall thinking to myself that I can put my wallet and keys here...so I would say the newer phones should fit fine. I'll get back to you on that when I check after work.
Yeah I believe most are made as a pull over and long. I believe there are other options out there like weatherwool. I'd have to look to see if they have button closure or zippers
Awesome buy Chris. This is going to be a great piece of gear for your colder season outings. If you don't mind me asking, how tall are you? I'm just trying to gauge what a large would look like on me.
I'm also 6' tall, and usually 180-190. I ordered a Medium, and I think it's perfect. Unlike Chris', mine fits tighter and the sleeves/cuffs fit me more like a regular jacket. IMO, Chris could wear a medium, but just depends on the layers underneath. I can still wear another jacket underneath my medium. Yes, it's a bit harder to put on and take off, than a large would be, but I don't need help to do so.
perritohiker I'm 5'7" 190lbs and I had a medium and it was a struggle to fit over another piece of clothing. I returned it and Jason had no problem sending me a Large. Large fits a whole lot better on top of a thick fleece. I'm built big across the chest and shoulders and really need a custom fit but since that isn't happening , I bumped it to a large. I've seen people over 6' fit well into a medium , but for me it just won't fly.
Marz Capone Nope , Jason actually told me unfortunately they don't do custom. I had mentioned if it had more room in the arm pit , it would have been a good fit with a medium body. Maybe in the future he will change this issue a little. To be honest even the Large is a struggle to get on. But I still love this shirt. I also wouldn't trust the pre shrunk mentioned in this video , cause wool will shrink and I've never known wool to be "pre-shrunk" , just saying. Peace
Right on! I hope you really like yours. I'll be breaking in mine very soon, we don't get a incredible low temperature range here but regardless it's nice to have it ready.
Sweet ya. Here in Idaho we like to camp, shoot, prospect etc. Lady and I just got the polish lavvu, poncho each. They setup nice. Then we collect military wool blankets. This thing should rock!
The Lester River Boreal Shirt is a nice buy but expensive. Here are some cheaper options Fred Asbell Wool Anoraks, Pathfinder pullovers Vests Coats etc, Swanndri wool, Varusteleka has wool underwear, Big Bill 190,210 wool Bibs and Pants
It seems to me a bad idea to use metal buttons on the wrists, this is a rather unreliable solution and their breakdown will be impossible to eliminate in the field.
Whoa whoa dude, take it easy fella....the enthusiasm exuded is a bit over the top and obnoxious. Tone it down a bit, will ya?? Lol.....thanks for the review!
I've been looking at those for a long time! Really want one! Those are the very best.
Great vid & great hoodie! Keep em coming, you always make good viewing ☮️
That's one great looking hoodie!
That is cool, I will be getting one of those for sure!
Superb winter clothing. Tops in my view. Great video about a superb wool item.
Just got mine today, one word, Quality. 👍👍
bad ass dude I was blown away buy this hoodie.
Good review, got one on order after seeing this vid..
Nice, you will love it. I bought one 3 years ago and it is bomber.
that's a good sign if yours is still holding up after three winters. I'm excited to try mine this season.

My next big purchase!
I have same one I had a zipper installed instead of the string ties it's way way better for when its cold
A must have, Wool in your kit. Longest life, Simple to care for.
Totally agree. Adaptable to many environments and fire resistant naturally.
Nice brother... Really like the design, I love mine, but it has to be cold out to wear it!
I just ordered one myself. Thinking of pairing it with my TentSmiths closed watch oat.

This is a nice piece. Have you looked at the Boreal Mountain Wool Anorak?

On the history show Alone, A few guys were wearing these.
USA!
очень хорошая вещь!
Nice one bro but $280 goes way beyond my limit I wish I can order one right now. Thanks for sharing ;)

Do they ship to good old England? I want this top more than I want to hydrate my hungover body at 7 in the morning
Bad ass
"D" rings in the pockets could be for attaching gloves on lines....
Man, you chose the best. It's on my short list of winter gear I "need". I was curious on the sizes so that was a large, how tall are you again? Thanks

I'm very close to the exact same size. Now I know a L will work. Thanks.

I'd replace those strings with 550.
What do you put on face to get your beard to grow so great? Just tell me. No one else has to know. How many sweaters per beard shear?
+Wolfgar Yurt lol, I don't use much other then beard oil to help maintain tangles and keep it healthy. But I can thank my Great Grandmother for her roots, heavy on the Scandinavian side. All the men got full beards in my family, only few of them grew them out.
I just saw a clip of this video used in a drop shipper scam on Twitter for this wool jacket for $49.99
They jacked my content some time back I couldn't make them stop or pull copyright video on my video:( damage was done
nice, that inner zipper pocket, is it big enough to keep a cell phone warm with body heat during extreme cold ?
to be honest I'd need to go back inside the jacket and take a peek. it seemed spacious enough I recall thinking to myself that I can put my wallet and keys here...so I would say the newer phones should fit fine. I'll get back to you on that when I check after work.
Thanks
If it had a full front zipper, I'd buy one. Otherwise, not adjustable enough.
Yeah I believe most are made as a pull over and long. I believe there are other options out there like weatherwool. I'd have to look to see if they have button closure or zippers

I thought that for $15 extra they could make you a custom version. Like, a large body with medium length arms and/or hem.

could you give me the link for purchase it .Thanks
What height are you and chest size?
Just sizing you up against me so I order the right size.
Great video.
Thanks bro. Just ordered. Should have ordered a couple months ago. lols.

Where is the sight?
Ingrese a una página donde promocionan esta prenda y fue un fraude la compra.....ahora pregunto que marca es y dónde la compraste, gracias
How do I order one
Get a Swanndri pal
I am getting itchy just looking at it........I think I'll stick to synthetics..........
Long term it's a good piece of equipment to have along, its super warm. I also like synthetic fabrics.
Yeah.......I am sure it's warm....not the issue.......is it itchy??????
What company did you buy it from ?
I recall going on lester river bushcraft website but I'm not sure if they have that up and running.

72" or 6' 00"
Me too. 165#, wet.
How tall are you
6'
