Kindle Paperwhite 5 Full Video Review: • 6.8" Kindle Paperwhite...
Here's a video outlining the differences with the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition compared to the standard 8GB model. Please see the full review for more details about the new Paperwhite 5 in general.
See here for a full list of differences: blog.the-ebook-reader.com/202...

I agree that the storage is maybe a little much, but given how little storage costs, I do not mind that it is there, at most it ads a few bucks.

Well, that is until you compare it to the Oasis 3...
$100 more from the new PW5SE and you get (as the base model Oasis 3)
Only 8 GB, no wireless charging, micro USB only, special offers, and a *partial* aluminum build. Oh and page turn buttons, and a slightly slower page turn speed. Not even any cellular data as just a bonus for paying so much or even a free case. And a worse battery life. And you don't even get the new page turn animation.
How the hell is Amazon still selling this thing?!

This is a nice review. The Signature Edition is good for Audible fans. The extra storage is awesome for data-hungry Audible downloads, and the wireless charging comes in handy for those that listen to Audible through their Kindle because of the rather rapid battery depletion from audiobooks. Great stuff!!

Has anybody had the issue where these models are getting stuck on the startup screen (boy on the tree screen). It seems to be pretty widespread. It happened to me last month.
From what i have gathered it usually happens after a month of use: you turn it on and it will show no content, then you try to restart it and it gets stuck in the rebooting screen. The only solution has been to get it replaced from Amazon. Now I'm afraid it will happen again.

Go in the book you’re reading, tap the screen, tap on “Aa” near the top, and select “page in book”. Not all book editions are the same and so every paper back version of a book will probably have different pages, but this is close.

Does anyone know if you can listen to the audio book WHILE reading on the kindle? I know when the kindle app on iOS, you can have the audible book going and it will highlight each word so you can read along. I prefer that to "straight listening"; however, the current Kindle Paperwhite I own(10th edition), makes you read 100% OR LISTEN 100% and I hate it.

I haven't heard anything about amazon making them. Tbh I don't see why amazon would ever make a colour e-reader. From amazon's perspective, the main use case is for reading books, and they have their kindle fire tablets for anything requiring colour. And the amount of units they'd be able to sell would be substantially lower as I expect them to be more expensive. I don't think it makes sense for them from a business stand point.
