I would sooner have Mahler fit the engine rather than JLR if I am honest, but I get what you mean about making it look factory 👍

Used set up £15,000 but no warrenty on the used engine.
Fully reconditioned start from £20,000

What’s a rough cost for a m57 swap with all the other necessary parts/extras which may include brakes, axel/diff exhaust and transmission? etc for a DIY job, as I still would like to have all the best parts from Mahkar yet still get hands on and install it myself, would this be a service that you can provide. Also keep up with the amazing videos, love watching them.
I know it’s £25,000 for a basic spec conversion done by yourself, just interested in the difference in pricing that’s all.
@@georgewoodcock-ej8cb unfortunately building kits are just as intensive as installing them ourselves as I can guarantee you’ll be on the phone asking what goes where 😬
Dave is obviously against OM606, but the question is: does he hate the OM606 coming from a G Class?
Would that Engine FIT into a Series 3 Land Rover ? How far forward would the Radiator Panel need to go from original .

Yes we’ve only ever had one fail in over 50
It’s a fantastic engine perfect for this use loads of power. Do not know what you use if customer wants petrol but the BMW 2.8 z3 uses M52B28 inline-six which is an aluminium block and is an amazing engine.
Have you thought about using the Range Rover L322 engine cover instead of the BMW one?

They are tuning the cumins bt6 to crazy hp in the states ( compound turbos etc and it takes it )
That's a lorry engine. The 3.0L bmw is not!

@@_marcus_does_ yes 3 had 3 brand new ones with with out dought the most unreliable vehicles we ever had , and bt6 engines take 600hp all day long infact some have been tuned to over 1000hp as the block can take it but you need forged rods and pistons and it gets very expensive.bt6 tuning is absolutely massive in the states.
The m57 is a good engine so is the m54 petrol but the n57 punches holes in the blocks
i totally disagree and bmw produckt are not made to last if would put another engine in an land rover i would use an mercedes , toyota, stelleantis
If that's the case u may as well do a cummins swap. What exactly is wrong with BMW engines? Mercedes om606 are difficult to come by and parts are even more difficult to get.
