“It’s a good conversation starter. I don’t have conversations about it, but it could be”
I’m slayed
Lmaooo how us watch nerds justify dropping unreasonable amounts of money on what is essentially an accessory.
"No, I haven't been anywhere near the beach in years, but IF I ever did, this watch has 500m of water resistance!"
Fr that was the most "watch enthusiast" sentence I've ever heard 🤢
Wow. Now you just let the world know how truly crazy us watch nerds are by assigning watches to days of the week. That was a Raiders of the Lost Ark secret. Great collection.
I used to have a spreadsheet of wear time by watches. I've been sick for a long time. Thanks!
If you haven’t gotten a winder for the automatic ones I’d recommend so since most of them have power reserve for less than 3 days. Unless you manually wind them each day then respect to that! 😅
@@extremejoyI have never really understood the appeal of a winder. Paying for a device that takes the joy away of either manually winding or setting the watch yourself before wearing it seems counter-intuitive to me. I can understand that there are days when you don’t want to deal with that or are in a hurry, and when I don’t feel like doing that, I just use my smart watch or grab a quartz 😅.
@@extremejoyno reason to get a winder unless you have a really complicated watch to set like a perpetual calendar..
@@HarrisonElmore wow (that keanu reeves wow).
But you have 3 empty slots in the box!
Was my immediate thought 😂
That’s what we all do in our heads to justify buying more watches lol
Love the way you start the week with Sunday instead of Monday! The main change I would make if I had your collection is that I would wear the Turtle on Sunday so that I could enjoy seeing the Sunday Day in RED on the Turtle. I love that about Seikos. Great collection!
I totally agree! I've thought about it, but the G shock just works so well on Sunday. The day color is one of the great parts about that date wheel though
Yep, Sunday should always be the 1st day of the week
The red is on the G Shock dial frame 😁
After 10+ years of collecting i find myself wearing my black Casioak 90% of the time. I could sell everything and just keep this one easily.
Tbh, keep a dress watch or something versatile next to that one and go for it
Stunning - perfect of example about building a collection around your life and your taste rather than the hype. Keep up the vids!
Thanks, will do!
You've got a great collection and I like how you have assigned each watch to a day of the week (and the reason for doing so).
dude, your collection is awesome. Love your Seiko, I almost bought the same one. I went with a Citizen Fugu as my work beater. I've put it through a lot - very reliable.
Big fan of your channel, brother and great collection too. Gotta say, my 124270 Explorer is by far my favorite watch I've ever owned. It's good at doing everything and the 36mm size just fits so well vs the 40+ mm watches I own. Keep up the great content dude!
Great collection and explanations for when you wear each watch. I have more than 7 watches now, so I don't have a day of the week for each, but I have certain activities and outfits that I have planned for each watch. I often change watches throughout the day depending upon the activity.
The GS is sooo stunning. I wish i could effort it.
Great collection
Beautiful collection, there’s so many cool pieces! Your video work also looks great!! Always enjoy watching your vids :)
Great video man! TOTALLY LOVE IT. Very unique watches too....after looking at this, I will do same for every day of the week! It's a great way to rotate and give each watch equal wrist time..
I go by seasons, two watches for each. It works for me for three reasons. You can match watches to the colors, uses and weather of the season; this gives a long interval where I can miss watches then rediscover them; it gives me a structure for slowly refining the collection without going overboard.
Ahhhh interetsing. I don't think I could go that long, but I like the idea.
Whenever I used to see the explorer 1 in videos like these I was never overly impressed. I went to a store to try on a DJ36 in black and they had an explorer 1 so I threw it on and I finally understood.. You have to see that watch in person, it is a beauty
The intro really got to me, sunday is the start of the week huh? Makes sense Iove this! Gonna make it mine as well. Also the collection is tight!
I was like this a year ago. 6-7 watches trying to fill roles for each. Have since consolidated to three heavy hitters I can wear whenever I want and I couldn't be happier.
Such a brilliant video. I appreciate YOUR collection. cheers
Thank you kindly!
Your videos keep getting better. And great idea about having a specific weekly rotation. I will be giving that a try!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing!
I have a GS SBGR255 and you’re right, they sparkle like nothing else and look even better outside the boutique.
There’s this silly comparison with Rolex-they both have different but strong design languages.
Nice weekly collection, the Breitling and the Omega are my two favorites in there.
Yeah, that's a really well-thought-out collection. I don't have your money lol so my collection looks like this so far... (I am more of a grab-and-go guy due to my lifestyle) My watch wearing is also situational due to that fact.
Lorus Lumbrite - Wild Camping and general beater
Citizen Bm8180-03e - Smart/Casual reliable field watch
Casio G Shock (5610) My Workout/ Mountain Biking and all things crazy watch.
Tissot PRX - My work watch
Seiko Solar Dive Watch (SNE585P1) - Daily Dive Watch
On the list...
Seiko Willard - The only automatic watch that will be in my collection for now. The heartbeat of my watch collection and my more premium dive watch.
And finally, my grail watch... *GS* (SBGX261)
You have some awesome time pieces. I love that speed master strap
I came across this video by chance while watching a video on the Oris Coulson and found that for whatever reason I totally “related” to your collection (thought it was great) despite the fact the only watch I share (and even then a different model) from my ten watch collection… is the G-Shock.
Totally enjoyed your video LOL 😂
Great collection and smart decision about limiting the number on the week’s days! I have now 12 watches and I find it difficult to wear them all
the 3-watch collection is groooowing hahahahahaha
honestly, a beautiful collection. a lot of personality is shown through your collection
Thanks!
I have more than 7 watch collection and I’m retired from work recently so I find myself changing out pieces 2 or 3 times a day. Sometimes I feel like I’m being a little OCD but I like the process of giving more of my collection some spin time rather than letting some sit for weeks or more
Wow, this video sold me on the Explorer 2 and Grand Seiko. Excellent presentation!
Good collection, good on you to keep to 7 watches so many of us don't have that discipline. For me to have a 7 watch collection it would have to be a blood in blood method one watch goes in order to have a new one even if that means losing money.
Great video and a measured collection, bravo!
I've got a solid 3 on rotation:
Black Bay 54 serves me as your Explorer 1 does you (work + dinner + GADA if it came to it)
G-Shock 5000U for G-Shock needs or casual.
Garmin Fenix 6 that goes from my local runs to the top of mountains. I'd be lost without it. Smart watch features need not apply.
I've been thinking of a 4th - something playful like the Brew Metric Retro - some colour and chronograph fun. That's a pending slot ATM.
Keep the content coming 😊
When you were listing all the g shock functions reminds me of why g shock and watches like Seiko 5s are so great
Nice collection, I can see that you really like black lol. That grand seiko is definitely my favorite
Thanks for this vid! Two things! 1) Agree with the sentiments for a watch a day, and when I whip out my 1990s tag aquaracer after a month or two of not wearing, clicking the jangley bracelet just feels right.
2) ever since getting my 39mm explorer, I have found that I rarely want a new watch once I try the new one on in the metal - just me?
I like that you have the emblematic models from each brand and there will be timeless too.I cant imagine that they will not produce these watches in future.
Great video. Quick question what straps do u have on the Navi Timer and the speed master?
I really love the idea of wearing your favorite piece on your least favorite day. It’s genius!
Indeed a nice collection! Saturday’s GS has the best character IMO. And that watch looks way better in reality, vs pics or vids. Then I would choose the speedy, then rolex.
For my collection, I have a variety in straps vs bracelets, titanium, and different dial colors depending on my clothing. Really hanging out for the new SLGH021.
Nice collection, I like your choices. I like how you have one for each day of the week. Then that limits your collection. Most of your watches are grail watches for a lot of people. Great that you are using all of them.
Dude what a killer collection
Thanks!
Great collection including 2 of my absolute favourites (Explorer 2 & Speedmaster).
Nice watches! Out of my ten watch collection, I have four of the ones you have so we both have great taste! ; )
"I'm done, I swear." Yea..... I've heard that one before! 😅
Nice! I find that my taste has evolved from Swiss vintage and the classics to high end SLA Seikos, 300m Marine Masters and Grand Seikos.
As you said on the beginning, this collection doesn’t fit my needs, but I really enjoyed watching why is perfect for you. And that’s the beauty of this hobby, there’s a cup of tea for everyone
Great video and collection. It reminds me of how kids can be super thrilled about their new toys.
Dude we nearly have the same collection.. I just also need the Grand Seiko and the Explorer II (in white)😂 - you have a good taste! Cheers from Switzerland! 🇨🇭
That Grand Seiko is amazing. The scratches tho 😭
Nice 7 piece collection. I currently have a 5 piece I rotate through. My 1- Omega Speedmaster Saphire sandwich, 2- Maroon Besel Black Bay 58 Gen 2 version, 3-Seiko with a see-through orange dial, 4- Seakoss Original 1963 Chronograph watch. 5- Zodiac Super Sea Wolf compression Diver automatic with the blue dial.
Cool collection. I have a king turtle as well. I really want a spring drive GS.
Super collection, I'd love those explorer's, especially the white one 😊
Wow a truly great and refined collection! Love the tan strap on the Speedy. Can you provide a link?
You've got 3 emoty spaces in your box though..lol. Need a blue dial mate. How about a IWC Mark XX?
Nice collection. Glad you're mostly happy with your collection. Not sure how you're done tho. Theres always another watch goal.
Ok, my fone is definitely listening to my thoughts. Last night I was thinking about 7 watches being enough… and wondering which 3 I’d add to my collection. And now this vid pops up!!!!!!!
Except for the Grand Seiko we are on the same page😳
Wow, what a collection! The breitling and the seiko arent my thing but the rest is very beautiful!
Gotta admit that the seiko is the most impressive watch.
would like to own a spring drive in the future :)
I do a rotation too. When something falls out of the rotation, it’s time to move it. Nice collection my man…
Out of your 7, I own two. the G-Shock DW-5600 and Rolex Explorer Ref 114270... a must-have for 7 piece collection. I like your collection. Good review.
Greatest collection ever seen. All of the pieces are legends.
Great collection. Love each one of your timepieces. Curious….what is the brand of your watch box? It looks very nice.
I was going to ask the same regarding the watch box. Looks solid. Great collection and day-by-day explanation.
Wolf Watch Box. I put the link in the description!
Agreed ref the power reserve..until you get a watch with one, you won't appreciate just how handy it is.
It's a bit like a HUD in your car!
Hi, It's a very beautiful collection, very classic as well. My favorite watch is the GS!❤
I like this day idea. You have a lovely collection. I usually go by color. I have a black, blue, green, white dial watch. I have a gmt with a black and blue bezel. When i do sports or go to the beach i wear the same casio that you have or my apple watch.
Nice collection ! Thanks for sharing.
Nice Video! This all made me ask: whats your Job? Sounds really interesting 😆
Loved seeing a Sapphire Sandwich defender.
Super cool with the bracelet on the Explorer 2. is that a Bracelet of the 126710, or is it a super jubilee from 116234 Datejust with the clasp of an 126710?
Thanks for reply to Norwegian nerd, want that combo for my 16710.
All the best
Patrick
Lovely! I have the same GS too :) if I may, you can consider a classic dress watch too
Great collection mate. The Navi you only need to wind just last midnight and back to 8pm. (Say 7:55) Saves you that extra wind on the fingers 😜😜
That grand seiko is so nice , could easily be a one watch collection
I'm glad youtube recommended me this video!! pretty beautiful collection.
Awesome! Thank you!
Tangential point but what do you think of the Tudor black ceramic watch?
Nice collection bro!
Great vid Harrison!! Just making sure you got the Jubilee from the 126710 for your Explorer II? I've also been thinking about a Jubilee for mine, smaller links make me worry less about scratches than the big open links of the Oyster. Let me know please!! And also how did you get it? AD?
Yeah super curious
I think he got it from the super clone $600 batgirl. Check out his other video and also how he destroyed the watch head but not the bracelet.
@@kamminsan Interesting. I've been following his videos for a while and he doesn't strike me as the guy who would use a fake bracelet.
"It's a good conversation starter...... that never starts any conversations"😂
This is the single best comment on watch CZcams ever 🏆and I really appreciate you being honest and busting the 'Conversation Starter' myth.
My most commented on watch by far is a Seadweller, but A/ They thought it was a Submariner, and B/ I did not want to talk to them 😂
The watches that start conversations (outside of watch guy situations) are ugly things that peoples initial reaction to is WTF! And then they feel the need to comment on the negative facial expression they feel that you might have seen 🤣
Holy crap, That Breitling looks bloody amazing!
Have a 40mm Explorer 1 and an SBGA211 which are really the only two I wear. Love both 😍
Forgive me if I missed it, but where did you get your watch storage case?
That’s some serious watch $ and a very very nice collection
Mine is a quarterly rotation with a date. Then the rest for specific purposes or special events: world travel, work travel, going out, etc.
Where did you get that black band on your Gr Seiko?
Funnily enough, I have seven watches in my collection and just today I was trying to work out which I should wear on each particular day of the week!
What more do you need. Really one of the best collection so personal and about the life style. 👍
Appreciate it!
You said that your week starts on Sunday and then you said that Monday is the beginning of the week 😂
Thanks God I'm living in Europe🙏😁
I think the explorer 2 is my favourite watch within your collection. Well done.
Can i know your setup for the macro shots? Those shots are amazing.
Considering myself being a watch enthusiast , thats a blazing watch collection
You’re much more organized than me. I open my watch box in the morning and then make my pick
I’m currently at 4 watches. Bb58, Tudor ranger, citizen and tissot gentleman. Hoping to add a speedy soon
Great group! This took me 5 years of unhealthy spending, so take your time! The BB58 and Ranger are two of my favorites.
Is that the oem strap for navitimer?
I have 4 of your 7. Great choices
May I ask, what watch case you have there.
I’ve been trying to find the same one.
It's a Wolf watch box. I have the link here: amzn.to/3F2TpQf
Absolutely fantastic collection. The Navitimer is a perfect finisher. Didn’t you used to have the Breitling Pistachio? I recently picked one up on eBay from a Japanese seller for 5K. It’s an incredible watch for summer.
Yes I did. Amazing watch. I definitely considered keeping it and it's on a short list of things I'd consider bringing back. I'd have to sell something to swap it in, so it's a hard choice. Great watch though.
@@HarrisonElmore It's an incredible dial and has marvelous finishing. That's awesome you had it as well and would consider bringing it back. You may have noticed the crown is a little sharp to the touch, I'm wondering if it will dull over time in a good way. I asked Teddy Baldassare if taking a cape cod cloth to it might help, but he recommended not doing that.
@@ViolinistWilliamyou could dull it, but cape cod probably isn’t aggressive enough to do it without a lot of work. A polishing wheel would work better and then come back with something to polish the bevels you create. Not the easiest with a small part and would be easier with the crown out. Quality of the work would also be dependent on comfort level with those tools
What a collection of classy time pieces 🤓
Great collection.
Thanks!
Great collection, perfect honestly
What strap have you got on the explorer 2?
Love your channel. Did you ever make a review on the seiko gmt’s?
Thanks! Yes I did a while back you can find it in the archive
Breitling Navitimer & Omega Speedmaster are definitely my favorites in your collection. 👍🏻
That’s crazy. Is that a new jubilee on the Explorer 2?
