There is another way to set the day, when you pass 12 and the day change you go back to 7:55 and then ahead to 12 again, the day will change again. You keep doing that until you reach the desire day. That way you don't have to wind 24 hours for each day , just from 12 to before 8.

Its targeted for poor people to push up the value of other brands.

Obsession, addiction and always the sign of an inner emptiness, of a feeling of lack. And obviously this lack cannot be filled by a new watch, or a new pair of shoes... Just the first few seconds when you take the coveted object in your hands, then... pshiiiit! Your insatiable desire lands on a new object. We must recognize this situation and then analyze the deep origin of this lack, this emptiness because an addiction is not only dangerous but is suffering.

A loupe is a double edge sword. The downside is seeing things on a dial or hands that shouldn't be seen. 😉

I prefer the date sub , i think they look too plain without the date feature. The iconic bubble magnifying the date , is for me , whats sets it apart from most other divers . Its just so rolex.

In a world of devices made to die on purpose, buying mechanical things encase in artificial sapphire to tell the time is a fcking act of rebellion in a way. You don't need a watch to tell the time. But it's fcking beautiful. It's not necessary. It's way too complicated. It's hard to make. It's not nearly as accurate as your cellphone anyway, which can track all timezones with more readability than any world's timer, does not need to be adjusted for leap year for 5 hours like any perpetual calendar movement, so on and so forth. I have spent literal years of my life researching my first serious watch before buying it. The only impulse watch purchase I made was a stupid Caravelle for 60 bucks (the New York) that looks tough as Mike Tyson's fists. There is ZERO regrets to be had. Buy a couple Zelos, cash a few 5 years down the road, buy a Rolex, wait another 10, buy a house.

I love the new gen overall proportion, Its more slick. its not actually 41mm its 40.5 (0.3mm bigger than 11 ref.), people just overreacted. tthe 11 gens lus is more round and goofy looking to me.

A similar thing happened to me with my Explorer 114270. Now I’m glad I didn’t sell it.

I would add one thing for Rolex owners. The horofix bracelet screw driver. They come with 2 heads. A 1.6 for oyster and 1.3 for jubilee bands. The difference is that they are flat ground blades and fit ALL the way into the screw (unlike the Bergeron) so the chance of stripping the screw is very small. Makes removing even loc tite screws easy. Also add the old 222 purple loc tite to the kit!

I have a 14060m and a 124060. Ive never worn the 124 bc the watch and the band look too big on my 7" wrist. I had a 114060 but never wore that bc the watch sat too high off the wrist and the crystal was flush with the bezel unlike my pre-ceramic which is elevated. I like the thinner lugs on the 124 but the watch and bracelet are justvtoo wide. ROLEX should have stayed with a 40 mm case and 20mm bracelet like the GMT.

I own a newer version with the B01 movement. I love it. It does not have the wings logo and that is a negative but it is still a fantastic watch.
