She was born for this role ...love how she has evolved over the years
It's kinda crazy, she's worked to change her accent when singing (notice how the harshness of her English accent is gone and she sounds more "American", but this is also from using healthier technique) but now it's to the point where she simply sounds like a completely different person

I remember, about 10 years ago, I heard Samantha sing "Defying Gravity" and thought, "She has to play Elphaba in the _Wicked_ movie", and now she's playing Elsa. Samantha's always incredible, but she's particularly good at playing characters originated by Idina.

I'm sorry but whoever tuned her voice during this performance did a horrible job. They made her sound so autotuned and it doesn't do her voice justice. I saw her back in Oliver in 2013 and even then when she was still quite young for an actress that was doing so well she had so much power in her voice. It sounds too artificial, I can't wait to hear a version of her live, I'm sure it'll sound way better!

I think the key was lowered for the musical version on both Broadway and West End. I may be incorrect though.
@@PianoDisneygal10 Appearently its F3 to Eb5, which is almost identical to Eponine, so Barks can definitely do it. Pretty standard Mezzo stuff. Its the same as the movie too, I think it's just the timbre of her voice that sounds different. Like how Seth MacFarlane singing a D4 as Stan Smith sounds incredibly low but as Roger sounds almost female lol

I really really hope they release the full show starring her. They filmed it before Frozen shut down in the UK this month, they say they'll release it for Disney Plus but no announcements from Disney directly yet.

I went to see Frozen The Musical at the Paramount Theatre in Seattle with my Mom and my friends. We had a great time. I can't wait to see it again. When the national tour comes back to Seattle I'm taking my Dad.

There are only two kinds of people: those who have sung along to 'Let it go' whilst walking around mimicking Elsa's movements in the movie, and liars.
Although I loved Danielle Hope, Samantha should have been cast as Dorothy. But maybe it was a blessing as we don’t hear much of Miss Hope. Samantha has had more success.
They were in different competitions. Sam competed to be Nancy, not Dorothy. 💛
