  • In this episode I manually clean the intake valves by removing the inlet manifold and cleaning them with tools and a wire brush. The inlet manifold gasket injector seals are replaced as well.
Throughout this series I will carry out a variety of common mechanical repairs on this vehicle before a host of performance upgrades in preparation for some serious boost. As always my series will have no tragic humour, no fancy editing, and no advertising, just a strong focus on DIY work and building things on a strict budget in your own shed.

A few more tips with refitting the injectors:

  • @Tythecodeguy

You can remove the dipstick tube for more clearance by going under the car and hitting the lip of the dipstick tube up towards the sky. Make sure you have something flat when hitting it so that you don’t chip the plastic off and make sure you’re lightly tapping it until you hear it come loose. Hope this helps!

I did this myself. Thanks for the helpful vid. Its a def a diy, as long as you have the correct tools. Def get the injector replacement kit, because the original plastic things will brake. I changed the injectors too. A bit expensive, but worth it. I found the throttle body screws the hardest. The so called demon bolt is actually easy of you remove the dipstick and have a thin triple square 10 mm. Other than that, is not even that hard.

  • @GregWalker88

For the Satan bolt you can get it off by jamming in a long 8mm round-head allen key.

So glad I got rid of mine! Between the 30 tubes and hoses and 5 different kinds of bolt heads.... could they have made this any more complicated?!

  • @CR15PY1

I’m def going to perform this on my ‘06 tfsi. It should be running excellent after , since I already did the timing chain myself and everuthijg
