Thanks for the review. Kicking this one around.. so the self righting is a NO? You’d think it would. Most RC boats have that feature these days.
Yeah the flat-ish bottom and low torque twist because it's a jet boat, mean if it rolls it's not righting itself. It is very stable in calm waters, but in choppy waters best to have another boat that can push it back to shore if it flips.
Nice review. I wonder how it would cope with different water conditions? I have been considering getting a RC boat myself but didn't make a choice yet. I don't have so many places to operate it, mainly small fast flowing rivers with quite a few rocks or the sea, neither of which are ideal locations. Also, I'd prefer something with nice detailing and good scale realism.
This one can do well in fast flowing streams, without a propeller it's alright if you strike a rock. But it needs to be somewhere you can wade in as this boat wont right itself if it flips over.

looks a lot like the M-Jet Sprint Design, its like the same nozzle and steering and this model is already a few years old
Have you ever used a 7.4 Lipo battery on the Wltoys 917? the jet boat comes with 7.4 Li-on. I looked but I didn't see anything saying yes or no
What is your opinion?

Makes it nowabel faster and more powerfull against rapids.

Hi, I did not. I didn't have any lipos small enough at the time. Shouldn't be any issues though the stock battery is 2s voltage.
