I've always admired this dotty duo because (1.) They were an excellent counter-balance to Basil's outrageous antics and (2.) They always appeared to be kind to Manuel (They never hit him like how Basil did, lol). All in all, they are two very amusing characters who always elicit a chuckle or two from me!
They always seemed to be oblivious to Basil's rudeness, even when he is cursing them under his breath. and never complained when the other guests were raising their concerns loudly.

"Bread 'n' cheese!" LMAO! HILARIOUS! Plus, I love how when Polly slaps Miss Tibbs, you can tell that for that one instant, the actor getting slapped is really a man, because the height changes! LMAO!

Gilly Flowers (Miss Tibbs) died 2001 aged 92. Rene Roberts died in 1996, aged 87
