I’m a Beta tester for the V3 Sodium system, so far it’s been amazing. Mileage, performance, and installation just great. Price is unbelievable and Jacks customer service can’t be topped. I highly recommend the new system.
Will there be a new sticker saying "sodium inside"? 😁
But to be serious, I was wondering if this V3 version will also be available for the gen 2 Prius. Will you be releasing the stl files so that people can print custom cases? Will these batteries be available for purchase in Europe? If not, how much will it cost to ship to Europe? What are the specs of the new battery in terms of energy desity? Does it have a bigger capacity than the original NiMH and Li-ion batteries? Does it weigh more or less than the original or the Li-ion version?
"Stay Salty"
Excited for solid state! I have a wish: that one day I can operate my regular prius like a plug in hybrid! One day, i hope to see that wish come true! I think NexPower has the drive and ambition to one day can make that a reality!
Australia is looking for your Hybrid Battery for Estima. hahaha
All the best.
Also I have a Prius C that uses less blades. Anyway and what would happen if found a way to more blades?
Mine is coming in tomorrow.
Any way to use these batteries to convert hybrids to also plug in. Would be nice to be able to charge at a public EV station while grocery shopping.
The non plugin version of the Prius doesn't make a really good plug in Prius. This is because anytime you're going much over 30 miles an hour the engine has to spin. Even if you're just coasting downhill in drive. It just wasn't designed to be a plugin version. If you want a plug-in hybrid it's better to sell the Prius and buy the plug-in Prius.
And there's not very much horsepower available from the battery. Most likely because of the programming which is tuned to the size of the wire connecting the Prius electric motors to the battery in the back. It's a long skinny wire. So in order to make it into a plug-in Prius you would need better horsepower from the battery so you would need to reprogram several ECUs and upgrade the size of the wire as well as purchased a very expensive much much larger battery. And I mean in physical size as well. So you'd have to put it somewhere. Maybe delete the spare tire? I don't know there's just too much to convert to make it worth it when you could simply sell your Prius and buy a plug-in Prius.
Google enginer make sure it doesnt send you to engineer
Hi! Very exciting product, can't wait to get my hands on it
Can you do a comparison video of the lithium battery blades vs the salt battery blades. I see both are better and less expensive and I already have the lithium but it would be helpful to see a side by side comparison. Should I swap in the sodium blades before driving to certain areas?
When will the solid state pack be available?
What would be the expected MPG for 2007-11 CAMRY HYBRID for v3 and V3 G ?
Why can't the high capacity battery also have low internal resistance?
Hi Jack, tried to make the pre-order shipped to Portugal!!!
Will you make that possible also?
Hope you can make this available to European Car's, or also produced in Europe (Maybe in Portugal) 😅
What's the energy density
What model do I need for Toyota Rav 4 hybrid 2017?
6:54 does this mean you can air ship this as long as the end user has a charger or buys the charger from you with their order?
Will this work on corolla hybrid?
Hi. That’s so cool!!!!! When you are ready to send to brasil? I’ll need to change my original Prius battery 😓
Hello, I live in south America, where is really hot and super humid.. My cells become unbalance due to parking my car for 2 months several times.. I have also had the problem of the battery ecu plug short circuit and burning and have had to fix several times..
1st. question
How will this battery do with car parked for 2 or 3 months, would cells become unbalanced? Have you tested this?
2nd. Will the V3 or V3 GT version be better for this?
3rd. Where did you source your ecu female plug for the battery ecu? I need one desperately..
4th. Will you be shipping anywhere near Ecuador or can I just buy it from china directly from you?
Thanks!
I’m in Texas and concerned about heat. My battery runs about 25F hotter than ambient temperature while running the a/c. This year it’s not so bad, the battery had only gotten up to 127F. I run Car Scanner to monitor while driving. But last year it got up to 136F, which doesn’t leave much room if a battery is rated for 140F.
Have you tested these sodium batteries in really hot weather?
I live outside of Houston and I’ve been a beta tester for the V3 since February. It’s has been hot here and this sodium system has been flawless so far. Heat does affect the performance. The cold temperatures do affect mileage, but that’s a standard reaction in the Lipo, and Nimh system as well.
@@douglaskaye1395 Thanks for that info! Yeah, I don't mind if the performance is affected, as long as it doesn't kill it. Last year there were times when I only got 35 mpg because the battery wasn't doing well at 110F. It had me worried because that was my first summer with the car, but the battery bounced back as soon as cooler temps came in. This summer it's barely getting over 100, and I'm getting around 44 mpg. Good to know the sodium bounces back too!
@@dalegreer3095 so far mine never got over 106* and mpg is 49+
I am interested in sodium-ion batteries for Prius, could you send them to Central America?
11:42 hope PRC China doesn’t copy your custom batteries
3rd gen prius ABS is producing buzzing sound after every 15 seconds, any remedy?
It's brake accumulator and brake booster that needs to be replaced..
