I looked it up, 1 to 4 percent of the population (both male and female) are sexually attracted to children. Women get caught less often, perhaps because they don't do the physical damage a male can do to a child. Of course, then there are the so-called mothers who get their jollies torturing their own kids.

As someone who works in the criminal defense field, I wholeheartedly agree that this is a nonsensical decision. Yes, he is at a slightly decreased risk due to hormone changes, he still commited multiple offenses, was found guilty of them, and has yet to serve his time or face an actual punishment. Just because he's illogically being considered a "lesser threat" doesn't mean that he served his sentence and should be set free.
If I commit a murder, then suddenly say "I'm sorry, I was sure a bad boy, I won't do it again", and give up all of my firearms and "deadly weapons", should I be released from prison under supervision after only a few years?

I cannot fathom why anyone would want to release him because he's now chosen to transition, using female hormones. It matters little whether he's a guy, girl or somewhere in between the transition (no disrespect meant in wording) he committed serious crimes and should continue to serve his sentence. I hate to say it but, one of two things is going to happen; he will do this again, just because he's taking female hormones doesn't mean the darkness that is within him will go away or someone will end him before he can do it again. I would hate to be this person when released onto the street with the general populous.

They would still have the mindset to harm or dominate as you were saying earlier about rape and sexual abuse often being gratification of power and harm. You said yourself just because someone is taking estrogen it doesn't stop a predator being a predator. Having a neo-vagina instead of a penis also would not stop a predator and he'd have his victims handed to him on a plate by the state. So no this shouldn't be legislated on who has had what surgery or not.

It sucks because they’re both delusional and when I finally confronted my mom about it she doesn’t even remember most of what she did because she had so many blind rages and justified it in her own mind because “I did it to protect you”, “I was scared someone would kidnap you”, or “you were a problem child”. It’s crazy how some women will make excuses to justify their actions or never apologize because they think they did nothing wrong, even after 2 years of us trying to mend our relationship and make things better, she still hasn’t apologized to me and tried to deflect by blaming other people.

What about other violent male offenders who will now begin to 'transition,' do they get released early?
