Let's talk about female predators and why society treats them with much less severity than their male counterparts. Tik Toker Zoe Laverne sparks this conversation, but it's much bigger than her.

Yes, it's infuriating. Modern feminism is just toxic because they shame men and try to put them down. That isn't equality, as they claim, that's degradation! Classic feminism was simply about equality between the sexes. I can't stand what they've turned the true meaning of feminism into. It's not right, it's not fair and it is in fact, the opposite of equality.

I remember being told when I was little, whenever my mom would scream, destroy the house, and throw things at my dad, that she was "sick". Even when the cops were called, all they did was ask if she could stay at a friend's house. No matter how many times I told CPS workers that I was scared of my mom, nothing happened. In fact, my dad was the one they looked into because they thought my mom was "acting out as a battered wife".
They're currently in the middle of a divorce, and she's staying at an abuse shelter despite never having been abused. My dad is having the hardest time doing anything because he's not even allowed to know where she lives. All he wants is custody of me and my brother so he knows we're safe. He doesn't want child support or anything. He's even okay with helping her pay bills, and hell he even drove her to the hospital when she needed it. He's been kind the whole way through and yet he's still being treated like shit.
As a young woman, I'm honestly disgusted by this behavior. I no longer have her in my life for obvious reasons and I will always help my dad whenever he needs. He's such a kind person and to see this happen to him is so disheartening.

I got held down and raped by a woman when I was in my early 20s. The next day I tried to report it to police. I was told by the officer, who was very supportive, not to make a report about it because once they started an investigation they'd ask her and one of two things would happen: 1) She'd say it was consensual and the investigation would end there; or 2) She'd say I raped her and I'd get charged on her word alone, and as there was dna evidence (she forced it unprotected) and it would go against me and I'd go to prison...

A British soap opera called emmerdale did a fantastic storyline on this. A male student named Jacob was being groomed and abused by his teacher and dads girlfriend named Maya. It took place over months and the aftermath of when she was discovered was very important in addressing how it affects the boys this happens to. He became very untrusting of women, slept with a girl once then dumped her. A family friend tried comforting him, put her hand on his and ge interpreted it as her trying to make a move on him. It really hits the point where young boys are just as vulnerable as young girls, if they're r*ped and abused by women they will be psychologically scarred too and will be more vulnerable as an adult. Abuse victims should never be celebrated for being abused, they need support, not congratulations. It sickens me that men cheer this on and women laugh about it. It's sick no matter who it happens to

There is DEFINITELY a stigma around men being victims of domestic abuse or sexual assault. I have personally witnessed 2 cases of it in my life and it was sickening. My aunt abused her husband (hit him, scratched him, bit him, even hit him with frying pans) and no one took it seriously or even believed him, and when they did believe him they always said "what did you do to her?" or "man up, it's just a frying pan." Then my ex boyfriend who was sexually assaulted at the age of 14 by a 20 year old woman who basically force fed him alcohol and then r*ped him (leading to them having a child,) was considered the victim because she'd been drinking a bit as well, she got full custody of the child and blackmailed him with said child for the next 10 years until he got custody. Neither of these men were taken seriously, neither of them were supported or coddled the way that they would've been if they were women, neither of them were even validated by people who knew their stories (except by me because I actually have a soul.) I saw the pain that both of them experienced, and I also saw that no one really cared and it was just another example to me of how messed up this world is..especially when it comes to gender.

My abuser was a female, it happened for years and years and no one believed me because it was a peer of mine, I was five when it started and she was a bit older, but none of my teachers believed me because she was “just a little girl”. I was openly bullied by her and coerced into performing sexual acts with her after she showed me pornography to “educate” me on what to do to her. She told me if I told anyone she wouldn’t be my friend anymore, that I would get expelled, that my parents would be disgusted with me and not love me anymore. And clearly she learned this behavior from somewhere 😔

But you have no idea what people are capable of when they’re just tryna stay alive from one day to the next. People will go lower than low to survive. Why do you think sex workers exist? Easy money. She didn’t rape anyone or do anything sexual. If anything she promised sex so that the guys would wanna go with her and the guys were obviously hoping to hook up. But she didn’t wanna hook up she just wanted their money. Picture yourself: Homeless. Only home you had you got beaten there. So you escaped. Without that home you gotta make money and do the most menial degrading shit just to survive the night. Are you really telling me you would never consider robbery if it meant you didn’t starve. I am a female victim of assault and I do agree with you. I feel this double standard comes from the fact that women are much more vulnerable to men and the average woman is not able to overpower the Average man. However I have seen a lot of cases when an adult woman has had relations with young boys and there are people talking about it online saying the boy is "lucky" and they wish they had a teacher like that in school. Which is disgusting. What grown woman would want to do that with a young boy?
I agree that both men and women do need to take this more seriously however I do hate when people use this argument to say women always get taken seriously as we sadly don't. Women often get blamed for what we were wearing or if we drank or flirted with a guy.. I don't ever see those questions with men BUT I do see men or young boys just straight up get dismissed. I think society in general needs to change how sexual assault is seen

I heard that they tried to apply a job at another nearby highschool, but in short, word got out and basically ruined their teaching careers for good (as it should).
The lady teacher though, she was able to get away with it and keep her job for another 2 years. She then also transferred to another school (I knew this from a friend who attended there). My friend didn't even KNOW about the incident until I told her about it.

For instance, females generally get lesser sentences and usually do not get the death penalty. Obviously this is an example of female privilege. But males have certain privileges too that females don’t have. For example, men generally get to get away with acting overly sexual towards women because “boys will be boys” and whatever. There’s many more examples of both genders having privilege. There shouldn’t be any differences but there are.

They’re always an after thought. I’ve personally met a few men who’ve shared stories of drunk girlfriends who “won’t take no for an answer” or something along those lines. They’re actually talking about being sexually pressured and sometimes being raped. And to them it’s just a “crazy sex story” but I couldn’t imagine how people would react if the rolls were reversed. People often talk about how horribly men handle rejection, but women don’t handle it well either. If a man doesn’t want to sleep with a woman, he’s either gay, or he must me cheating... Also, when talking about domestic abuse where men are victimized, had no accurate statistics. Most men will not report, because they may feel emasculated or embarrassed. All of the statistics you can find, I read somewhere, that it should be tripled at the very least.

A few yrs ago I was with a girl who was physically and emotionally abusive. She would attack me during arguements and even stabbed me once, some neighbors called the cops and they slammed me to the ground(I still had the knife in my gut and a busted head from a skillet) and arrested me because she said she was afraid cuz I beat the hell outta her, I'd never put hands on her and she didn't have a mark on her. Men can absolutely be victims and what's worse is women can just cry abuse and noone questions it

Glad you’re talking about this Blaire!
I never reported being assaulted (made to penetrate assault, I told her to stop and she said ‘no I’m almost done) by my ex gf because it would have been a he said-she said and 230lb active duty soldier vs 160 lb girl with signs of intercourse... the price of failure would have been WAY steeper for me than just shame.
Kicker is that she got pregnant from that, had our kid when I was deployed, so of course I got no custody, had to pay child support.
Second kicker - after I fought for 8 years for custody (I have majority custody, primary guardianship) I STILL had to pay child support for another 2 years because according to support enforcement “you are the non-custodial parent because you pay child support and you pay child support because you are the non-custodial parent.” I’m dead-ass not making that up, exact words from my support enforcement officer.
I eventually was allowed to stop paying by finding a sort of residential credit waiver to indefinitely defer my support obligation... you know, cause people lives with me all but 5-6 days a month.
Yet we live in *patriarchy* which *systemically oppressed women* 😒🤦‍♂️

I am so grateful for you speaking out, as so many are terrified to speak of this...
. yes, this is HIGHLY played on "female victim/ survivors " vs the TRUTH that JUST AS MANY MEN ARE DV individuals... much love for all of your openness (on this issue and a plethora more!)
As a female DV Survivor.... and a minister... I have seen so many (male survivors) that won't openly say due to exactly that....the stigma...
    Thank you, luv.
Always a cheerleader in the backing of truth...and you do amazing 👏 ❤ 💗

Assault is assault & abuse is abuse, no matter gender, age, race, religion, rich, middle class, poor etc. Abuse does not discriminate. 1 persons assault is no less or worse than someone else because everyone is different in how they feel, react, deal with it & heal.
Every single offender should be given harsh punishment for their behaviour no matter who they are. The courts need to start treating those they are less lenient on as they would anybody else.

It’s really good to hear your voice on this subject. You are in the truly unique position of being able to convey each side of this situation. And you’re adding a valuable and valid opinion on the glaringly obvious inequality in how female and male victims are treated. Another terrible and tragically unspoken subject is the epidemic of rape in male prisons. There simply isn’t the same sympathy and support available for male victims of sexual abuse or domestic abuse. They deserve just as much compassion and respect as every single female victim does.
