As a trans person you can DEFINITELY tell when someone is genuinely transgender and when someone is fetishizing the IDEA of being transgender. I think that’s one advantage us trans people have is that we know what genuine dysphoria looks like. It’s seriously disgusting that we allow a community we were supposed to feel safe in tell us that we’re “transphobic” for wanting to keep people like Tiffany OUT of our community, because at the end of the day, it’s people like that that are giving us our reputations.

It seriously breaks my heart to see that child growing up in a household around drugs. As someone who was constantly around a family member that abused substances, I know the child must be going through a lot. I'm only 15 years of age, and I have so much trauma to work through in order to lead a normal life. Living around someone who abuses substances messes you up. Someone please get this child out of that home.
My dad became very abusive after a long time of using harmful substances, which messed up my mental development a lot. I learned many bad behaviors from him; such as starting physical fights, manipulating my peers, using unhealthy coping mechanisms, and not reaching out for help when I needed it. I was so depressed, I couldn't get out of bed in the mornings anymore. It took me years to gather the courage to tell my mom how bad my depression was. I was hiding how I felt since 3rd grade, and it took me until 8th grade to finally open up. Once I did share how I felt, I was taken into psychiatric treatment almost immediately.
I'm not sharing my story because I want pity. No, I'm sharing this to educate others on why we should be concerned about this child's future. I want to do whatever I can to save this child. I'm only a teenager, so there's not much I can do, but I hope that maybe my story will touch someone who can actually do something. I'm hoping to God that the child isn't being neglected or abused, but with the evidence shown, it doesn't look good at all.

@Cheggfart I wish you the best. I didn't grow up in a household like that, but I know people who had abusive parents thanks to their parents abusing drugs or alcohol. Just hearing it talked about paints an ugly picture, and I can't even imagine going through something like that firsthand.

I'm glad you are able to grow from this and you can definitely help people, even at this young age. Just sharing your story and letting other kids out there know they are not alone can help tremendously. My father had mental health issues and was a major manipulator and emotional abuser so it's quite different but I can only imagine how hard it must've been for you based on my own experience. I'm also a foster mom and I can't go too into it online obviously but my children have been put in a similar situation to you and as a matter of fact their older sibling (who does not live with me) is the same age as you and is so wise... really shouldn't have to be at such a young age but kids like y'all will be able to help others in your situation now and in the future. You will be able to see the signs of abuse and reach out. God bless you. This kind of situation is never good, but good can come of it. You are a blessing and I'm so happy young people like you can grow and have the ability to strengthen yourselves and be better than the example set before you. Keep it up. It will take a lifetime of trying but we can get past the abuse and be better than them. In the end that's all I hope for my kids(foster or otherwise) is they will grow up and be better than not only their bio parents but better than me too because I know I'm not perfect but hopefully I can be a better example to look to and help them evolve into the beautiful people I know they can be.
tell your psychologist everything when you are able, as a 35 year old who also when through a lot of childhood trauma, i say don't hold back. Even if "mommy" and "daddy" say you can't talk about things, do it. Also, psychologist, therapists are mandated reporters. If your home situation is too hostile tell them to help get out of it.
My parents held me back through my therapy due to having "rules" on what i can say. It took my to this year to finally wake up and realize my mom was just as bad as my step dad. I'm thriving now that i moved out. What made it even harder on me is I'm on the spectrum. So my communication kills were lacking.

Luke McInerny obviously we all want law enforcement to get on it as well and as fast as possible. I’m not a huge Hanson fan, but he could help bring attention to the situation. Which helps put pressure on the law to get involved.

What's even sadder is that many local police forces and social service offices are so overwhelmed with calls about harm to minors and children that many won't ever be visited. This is a particular problem in densely populated cities.
