- The Blazer has made its return and Chevrolet decided to take some inspiration from the Camaro for this generation. On the outside of the Blazer RS you will find a unique grill, LED lighting, sporty front fascia, and rear bumper. On the inside you will be greeted to RS specific seating, 8in infotainment and digital gauge cluster. Under the hood is a 3.6L V6 that produces 308HP & mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission. Is the 2021 Chevrolet Blazer RS V6 a sport SUV you should BUY?

The blazer is perfect.. sporty look but with a better softer ride.. this is what people really want whether they know it or not.. not off-road harsh ride and a bunch of expensive beefed up suspension they will never use, not a super sport hard ride either..
This is a perfect mix of what the majority of car buyers want.. i think it looks so awesome in the silver

I’m a big fan of the new Blazer and like it much better with the V6 than any engine in the Ford Edge. Dodge has nothing to compete with this and the 3.6 still gets better mpg than the Fords. Love the style and power! 👍👍😎
I have the 2022 RS in cherry red tint coat. So far it’s been fun but I’m definitely not doing off-roading in it.

Yes, the 6.2l would be a blast, but I can't help thinking Chevrolet engineers are missing an option; TT 5.3 V-8 would be a hoot in something this size. They REALLY need to get a mid-size 4x4 option. Great review, Joe and Lori!

I just purchased the 2LT trim level last weekend. I love it, so much room, comfortable and still sporty looking and handles well.
I sell these at Chevy dealership and love them. Driving is very fun with great safety features and decent tech

Have the V6. I use to always complain about how Chevy didn't create an SS V8 model beforehand. Tbh it does not need it! That V6 takes off! If they created an SS they would definitely need some new steer handling.
I love my car and have no regrets after a year. I am glad it's sporty looking. Matches nice with the husbands Camaro.

We have had our cherry red RS now for about a month. It’s awesome.
I've been going back and forth with the telluride and this for a long time now. I just love the looks of the blazer and the 2 rows in it. Bronco is on my radar also. You make it so hard to be decisive!

@@fluffyres6107 Yeah the Blazer is more reliable, even though they're both crap brands. Kia is known for not building the engines right, oil consumption, and over all pure-CRAP. If you were going to get the Kia, the least you could do is make sure its built in Korea or Canada, because Mexico can't assemble cars if their lives depended on it, and America is a half/half reliable/trash situation.

Joe I have owned my Blazer RS for a year and a half with absolutely no issues or recalls. My only wishes are power folding mirrors and no head up display. Oh, and I do have the sunroof which is huge.
Idk why people hate this car so much, it's just chevys version of a jeep grand cherokee and comparing it to that they're both great
Thanks Joe and Lori for this 2021 Chevrolet Blazer review. Joe it was awesome to see “real Twinkies and Twizzlers” in the Blazer. After watching your review, I felt that Chevrolet may not get many sales on this model. I remember the Blazers and Broncos of yesteryear, and this Blazer, be it the RS model, just doesn’t have any retro in this design.

@@HondaCivicEX-L I’m not a Ford guy either but they did their homework with the Bronco. Let’s be honest, Chevy would have half assed a true Blazer replacement anyway so it’s really no loss.

Hope people are ok with buying a 19 year old engine design. HFV6 was supposed to be a better V6 than the 3800. It never has gotten there imo. See what the Car Wizard is going through in his shop with that HFV6, and what he has to say about it. I’d have to go with the T4 if I was shopping for one. If they are going to make rear wipers, they need to hide it. Also a blade longer than 3 inches would help. Otherwise, just do away with it. When I was a kid I designed ducts from the c-pillar area that used the wind to clear the rear window 🙂 Vehicle looks nice, seems to run well. I think manufacturers need to stop with the low headlights. We all know LED tech exists to make most DRL’s into the only head lighting you need. Thanks for another great video.

I have mix feelings about it. I think that the 5 passenger SUV king is the Santa Fe with the 2.5 lts turbo HTrack. However, it would be very cool if Chevy offered an “off-roader” version like Subaru did with the Outback Wilderness.

First of all, I love your space vs snack referencing. Very real world in my world, lol. Secondly, you missed the rear door panels. I'm wondering if they offer heated seats back there and where they placed the the buttons back there. Anyhow, great video, like always.
Real sharp body lines.wheels look really good.v6 turbo would make this the ultimate and competitive with almost anything.
I like it a lot and I don't think it looks outdated at all, has a resemblance to the Lexus RX on the exterior however the interior looks a bit cheap, I do agree that 44k is too much but American nameplates dealerships are always running great deals, also if you're looking to get an SUV with an old school V6 this is one of your few options.
That's exactly what I thought it was today when I saw someone driving it today. I screamed "that's the Lexus I want" at first glance, then I saw Trailblazer. I was like wow I gotta check this car out.

A V8 will not fit in that POS. That's according to GM.
But the twin turbo 3.0 will.

I like the blazer my older brother has one one with 2019 zl1 rims on it and it’s been lowered 2inches it looks very aggressive too he a v6 suv and it’s quick in sport mode to be front wheel drive

Hell yeah I’ve been saying it for a while that I’ve been really wanting this new blazer to have the 5.2 with a V-8. It’s the one reason I definitely have not purchased a new blazer yet. I have hopes that it will happen. Who needs off-road? Welp not me but a 4 x 4 would also be nice

JOE AND LORI RAITI ~ these look really good in person, especially the light treatments, the wheels are supreme, plus I heard they drive smooth & peppy. RS = Raiti Sexxxy lol. I kinda like the black chrome & bowtie - way sportier than the Edge which is running out of direction. AWD - thank the lord. they didn't overkill the gloss black fender treatment, it's like it only covers half the fender. CHEVY ! ! ! LISTEN TO JOE, he knows what he's talking about > I double dog dare ya to make the SS Blazer & make it murdered out - talk about sells - CHA-CHING. CHEVY making bank thanks to JOE's brilliant ideas/suggestions. I love the butt. the silver paint contrasts with the black accents mega well. 44? I got the in my cookie jar, I'm off to the Chevy dealer heehee. I am so glad for the door Twinkie compartment. interior ROCKS ! ! ! Nice looking SUV.....I love the Camaro homage. I'm not an off roader so this my kind of vehicle but the BLAZER name is confusing as it's not off road.
I think this car goes well with the v12, so it becomes a more powerful option in relation to the Rav4

Looks nice and sounds nice at 44k the interior should use high quality materials throughout and it should have a sunroof. A V8 version would be nice.

Much power, and it would require a total redesign.. probably cant even get a v8 under the hood.. the tahoe is v8 so get that… sunroof is optional.. interior materials are great.. who cares about a soft under the window, nobody touches that,, the armrest is soft.. with that awesome mirror screen. Spare tire, the easy folding seats, all the usb’s and all the electric adjustments on this thing ypu gwt alot for the money..
I would say get rid of electric hatch, steering wheel. But that wouldnt wven be enough to lower the price

Chevrolet can easily bring a T1 platform Blazer if they want to. All they have to do is design and manufacture one as most of the hardware already exists. This Blazer CUV has been making money for GM with good sales, needs a high performance version though as a halo vehicle.
8:45 is really all that needs to be said about the Blazer and GM in general.
If you were deciding this against the Vw atlas cross sport which one would you chose, kinda stuck on a decision.🤔

Great review. We've owned our 2019 Blazer Premium however from a ride standpoint I wouldn't recommend it at all. It has a terrible ride when more than 2 people are in the car. The rear shocks often bottom out when you have people or any kind of small load in the back. Very disappointed in the ride.
