The best part about this scene is that Vision didn’t even know you had to be worthy to lift the hammer, he just gave it to Thor as genuinely as you would hand someone a pencil
Underrated!
He knew
With Jarvis's intelligence, he knew. He knew lifting it would prove he was not the monster Ultron was and he could be trusted.
No, he definitely knew. It was the only way he could think of to show the other Avengers he had good intentions.
@Bình Nguyễn Thái Yes maybe a possibility
I love how Thor said to Tony, “Well done.” In the end, Tony really did win the Mjolnir-lifting competition. He created a robot that could do it for him.
Robots will take over Earth then Asgard!
Because Tony learns from his mistakes
Tony is dead you fool
Technically, he created an evil robot who created a good robot that lifted Mjolnir for him lol

brilliant 👏 so what happens if someone can do that in real life? he would have to have a power name like KING AUTHOR with his eMSee HaMMaH . THEN... he would have to show some super naturall skills.
Damn bro you see everything, what other deep meaning is your High Geniusness willing to share with us mortals?
He is more than a machine
Can we just acknowledge how funny Thor’s reaction to this whole scene was, because I found it excellent. His reaction to Tony was also brilliant!

I love that it takes him a second before he turns and sees mjolnir being handed to him. He was caught so off-guard and I love it
He would have been shitting and pissing
So one could say the dude from Asgard was caught off-guard..
*bu dum tsss*
I'll see myself out.
I think the best thing is how all the others react! They all look at Thor first, to see how HE reacts to this, to check if it´s really not a party trick (if you remember the scene before, where most of em tried to lift Mjolnir) and that it really happened. I really hope that Marvel can get back to that level of detail in Phase 5, Phase 4 till now... yeah..
Imagine how awkward this would've been if he couldn't lift the hammer
*cricket noises*
It would have been over for him...
Hahaha
Well obviously, if he'd failed to lift it they would've cut it from the movie ;)
I was just thinking this
Vision in Age of Ultron:
lvl 100 boss
Vision in Infinity War:
lvl 1 crook
No way. Vision got his shit messed up right from the start with that staff. It messed with his machinery at the atomic level and made him unable to properly harness his powers. The baddies knew Vision's power and devised a way to take him out of the fight. Thanos was so successful not due to strength, but due to his planning and strategies. He wasn't perfect, of course, but he clearly spent more time planning than punching. *edit* I accidently called him Ultron...
Same with Thor at Infiity war and Endgame.
@@chasedaily8134 Even when punching, he fought like a UFC champion. Completely negated the Hulk's strength with cold-blooded control.
Vision in Wandavision: Yes.
I understood that Mafia City reference
Tony making a robot to lift the hammer for him is genuinely one of the most Tony things Tony has done
Now this is excellent writing. Show, don't tell. Fantastic stuff from the writing team. The moment he lifted Mjolnir, we knew he was trustworthy and correct.
He isn’t trustworthy, it’s like placing mjolnir in a elevator, the elevator will still go up
@@mikka8007 Ah yes, but why is it that Iron Man can't lift the hammer when he's in his armor? I just realized that Thor said “well done” to Tony because he created a ‘worthy’ person, a person who will follow the right path. Man, I love these small instances
akshat goyal really i thought it was because earlier during the challenge Tony used one of his iron man arms to try and life the hammer which is one kf his creations and when vision who was technically Ultron's creation, reprogrammed and completed by Tony which makes Vision Tony's creation, Thor said well done cuz one of his creations was able to lift the hammah
It was definitely because the bet of who could find a way to lift it, so Tony by creating Vision that could lift the hammer actually found a way and won the bet, that's why Thor said that to him
All three of you just said the same thing with different wording.
Vision lifted the hammer not because he was worthy, but because he wasn't technically alive. Like if Thor forgot the hammer in an elevator, and someone on a higher floor called for it, and the elevator went up with the hammer, it's not like that's because the elevator is "worthy".
Also even back then Cap was already on the verge of being worthy. You could see the hammer mover ever so slightly when he tried to lift it, along with the tiniest bit of concern on Thor's face when he saw it.
@@traviswieser thats literally what i was thinking lmao

Brilliant writing. Whedon had about two minutes to introduce a new character, show both the Avengers and the audience who he truly is, move the team from in-fighting to uniting and transition organically into the last act.
And he did all that by setting this up with the Hammer Challenge scene that had already been used to 1) humanize the characters and show that the team was full on course to becoming friends; 2) provide a quiet, fun, peaceful intermission before a violent action sequence to offset it; 3) drop a hint that Cap is worthy; 4) show that Bruce had been healing amazingly from his trauma, comfortable enough to _joke_ about hulking out; 5) hint at Natasha's crisis of self-worth; 6) give the marketing team a cool engaging sequence for teasers. It would have been a marvelous scene even without the Vision part, but then Vision lifted the hammer and it just blew me away.

I imagine as he wasn't worthy back then. The road since then has made him worthy.
He didn't thought about Thor's ego, because most important thing was the mission.
"If an elevator can lift the hammer, does that make the elevator ‘worthy?’"
Maybe the hammer doesn't exceed the weight limit.
zagorith14 - LOL!
I know it's a joke but, the "thing" Wich lifts the hammer has to be conscious, if someone is using something to lift it that means the person is worthy, not the "thing" Wich was used. I THINK that only Thor could use a elevator or someone who's worthy, to lift the hammer.
Ogre Mobson - Nice theory. I was going to give a smart assed answer that I am Thor, but I’m not, it’s just my name. The scene later shows Thor entering a house and hanging his hammer on a coat hook by the door, Ironman and captain America notice and one of them asks if the coat hook was worthy. Just after this scene is where one of them asks the other the quote I referenced in the OP.
Yes But, actually No

I think Tony and Steve were on the right path with that "elevator's not worthy" talk.
We see Vision handling the hammer twice but never using lightning powers, but when Steve uses it in Endgame, he _does_ have lightning powers.
And Odin's enchantment says if you're worthy and holding the hammer, you get lightning powers.
So Vision could lift the hammer, not by virtue of being worthy, but by bypassing the worthiness test
When vision moves the hammer, you can hear the enchantment fully activating. Whereas, when cap attempted to lift it you could barely hear the noise and the hammer only budged slightly.

That camera work was perfect for that moment. You can hear him grab the hammer about 2 second before he brings it on screen so it just sounds background noise. Its so subtle but so perfect.
gunbladeuser19 holy shit that's super fucking obvious now that you pointed it out.
It's what I do. lol

Tony Stark literally makes heroes or villains. There is no in-between with him. Here Thor is congratulating Tony on making vision, but earlier in the movie Thor was holding Tony by the throat for making Ultron. Tony motivated (in one form or another) Spiderman, Vulture, Mysterio, Whiplash, War Machine, Killian, even Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch who were on both sides of the fence.
Mysterio, yeah... that was soooooo lazy writing. Again, making someone the villain because of Tony Stark. Really?
@pepega clapper but he ded
Does Zemo count as well?
Underrated comment. That's a good piece of insight.
@@sotsubreivaj That's a weid way to spell genius writing.
Pietro and Wanda over there like, "....what? why is everyone lookin' all 'zomg!' right now?"
I can't believe it's already been 7 years since this came out! Time flies when you're getting old :P
screeches in 30 years old lol...
@@RayneOP I'll be 35 in a few weeks :P
dude died twice in 1 movie damn. 😔😢😭 feels real bad man.
Mystic Swordsman damn
Tahir A 😭
Kane Zagar Nope, he is physically dead....The ones who died by snap have a chance, loki and Vision dont have a chance, maybe but very very little, Gamora could return as she was seen in soul world....
Tahir A that was a rumour
Supreme Gamer once they get the mind stone back they’ll use it to recreate him. Calling it now.
Thor: No one is worthy enough to lift my hammer.
Vision: Hold my stone.
Vision : No one is worthy enough to lift my beer
Thor : Hold my hammer
yes but it goes up in a lift so is a lift worthy?!!!
Thot - Slayer what’s up baby 🌹👉🏻
@@psionicinversion You a Brit?
@@everardoandrade6420 Thats probably a fukn dude you just said that lmao.
This was the perfect way to flip the seriousness of the situation. Vision was so nonchalant with it too
0:45 Thor: "Am I drunk? I must be drunk."
How to make the avengers trust you:
Step one: lift thor's hammer
That's literally the only step needed! 😂👏
There is no step 2
*Thor's actual hammer. Any hot girl can lift Thors hammer*
Hela: You have no idea of What's possible
*thanos lifts mjolnir*
_Vision lift Thor's hammer_
_Captain America lift Thor's hammer_
Thor: Am I a joke to you?
Stan lee lift's Thor's hammer
Ghost Rider lift's Thor's hammer
Silver Surfer lift's Thor's hammer
Not perfect because Thor told him he knew he can lift it that time when he didn't want make Thor look stupid... Ultron...All tried and Cap gave up :D...Thor got scared but now he knew he could lift it before. He was happy. But fat af xD.
Thor: I thought we had something...
Who was it again??? That one character from the DC universe who was able to lift Thor's hammer during the crossover?
Mjolnir: Yeee..
Remember that Mjolnir could only be used by Thor and Odin, but the hammer also remembered the last command that the user must be worthy
man this upload has that 'high refresh rate' on it that makes everything look like a soap opera
"there may be no way to make you trust me"
_immediately does the one thing that makes them all trust him_
exactly im like
bruh
that is the definition of task failed sucsessfully
Vision gave the hammer to Thor instead of flying off with it and wreaking havoc or doing something else. That's why they Avengers trusted him.
@@ArthurBoi well if he did that he wouldn't have been worthy from the start, right?
@@jjrays9913 Vision didn't need to be worthy. He's a robot so he bypasses Mjolnir's rules completely since he's not a living organism
@@tyrant7482 true dat homie
Stark: dont you owe him a kingdom?
Thor: quiet..
😂
Odin: "who are you?"
Vision: "worthy"
“Sssshut up!” Thor in Thor Ragnarok
