What Netanyahu says is not accurate at all . The only person that is stalling the negotiations is Netanyahu . It is pretty obvious that hamas are not going to give up thier hostages for a few weeks cease fire.......why would they do that ? . They want a proper end to the war and a state for palestinians . They have actually said they will give up war altogether and become a political only organisation in exchange for a state for palestinians , a full cease fire and the return of political prisoners on both sides . The republicans did this deal in Northern Ireland with the UK government and it is a proven model that works . There is lasting peace in Northern Ireland now after 100 years of conflict prior to the deal . Israeli should consider this type of deal for lasting peace in the region once and for all.
If Hamas released the hostages it would put pressure on Israel not to go into Rafa or there would be far less support to do so, Hamas could then survive.
But as long as Hamas have the hostages Israel has a good reason to go into Rafa, and far more chance of Hamas not surviving
And there is no way Israel should ever trust Hamas, and Israel already did a peace deal in 2005 giving Gaza to Palestine and Hamas fired rocket's into Israel 6 months latter.
You have to remember this is a jihadist group the aim is not a state of their own, the aim is to rid the land of all Jews, even their charter clearly states this.

This is not difficult to understand. The ceasefire fire “deal”, if accepted, will decide who “wins” the war.
If Israel agrees to ceasefire AND end to war, Hamas is still in Gaza. All the reporting of the ceasefire never mentions or even hints at what happens to Hamas.
The whole purpose of the war was to eradicate Hamas.
If Hamas agrees to leave Gaza and there is a ceasefire then it could work.
In sum, the issue is what happens with Hamas. Do they stay in Gaza or not?

And really, Hamas has taken control over Gaza by military means, first being elected, then killing the opposition and ending democracy in Gaza. Getting rid of Hamas is necessary, for Israel but also for Palestine. Palestinians are being propagandized, used as human shields, abused as bargaining chips, this isn't acceptable.
So to answer your question in short: if Hamas will accept a temporary ceasefire.

It's simply not true that that's where the last of "Hamas" is. There are resistance fighters all over Gaza, that's why Israel had to pull out. They post videos all the time. Israel is only killing civilians, the fighters are all underground. They have more rockets than ever now, because they make them from the small portion of the huge numbers of bombs constantly dropped on Gaza. Israel wants "Hamas" to surrender and lay down their arms... but that's insane, look at what Israel does to those who can't fight back in both Gaza and the West Bank. The rest of the world will look the other way while Palestinians are made extinct.

You dont seem to understand how things work go listen to a reliable military channel Rafa still has a number of battalions and will have all other kinds of military infrastructure.
Other areas battalion's have been dismantled and all that remained is groups of unorganized fighters with limited supplies of ammunition, its much easier to take out these fighters than a well organized well supplied battalion, but yes it is a game of whack a mole.
